    You are SO correct sir! Fishing on the Green River VERY tide dependent! Sometimes you might be fishing for along time but once the tide in Puget Sound changes and the river starts to run the bite is ON! Thanks a good tutorial on jigs and shrimp bits!

      Oh definitely, I’ve noticed that many times where I’ll be fishing and it’s absolutely dead, then as soon as the tide changes it’s game on! Almost like it becomes whole different river haha. Thanks for watching!! 🙌🏼

    Way to get those salmons with the float setup. Subbed to support the channel. Keep it up!

    Make that water a little murky and believe me, color matters big time!

      Where is this on the green river, where's the access from the road? Where do you park 🤷🏼

      @@cclong8777 The chum are pretty stacked in the lower river right now, fish the incoming tide and just find some faster moving water and you’ll be set!

    is tide matter at your fishing location ? what time you start fishing ?

    • @maxfishinn
      @maxfishinn  ปีที่แล้ว

      For chum salmon, I personally don’t think the tide affects them as much as let’s say coho or kings, just because they’re so aggressive. Generally speaking an hour before/after high tide is best, but I actually prefer low tide cause the fish are more concentrated in the water and you can kinda cast at them easier as opposed to them being spread out all over the river during high tide. Hope that helps!!

    nice nice, you probally know already but yeah once that belly is dark and not white it basically not good eatting anymore if you ask me, not firm and super pale meat, mabe smoker?

    • @maxfishinn
      @maxfishinn  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah it’s usually a hit or miss with the darker ones, I’ve caught really dark ones that had nice pinkish/red meat, but most of the time they go back and I only keep the brighter ones for the smoker

      @@maxfishinnand also, one more question, I don’t have any 1/4 oz jigs, I only have a 1/2 and an 1/8 oz. Which one would you think would work better? An 1/2 addicted tail out jig or 1/8 oz aerojig?

    • @maxfishinn
      @maxfishinn  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depends what you’re fishing, those are 2 different style of jigs for 2 different styles of fishing, they both work good. The tailout is a twitching jig and the aerojig you can technically twitch it if you were using an ultralight but that’s for floating under a bobber. With all the chum salmon in the river your best bet is to throw that aerojig under a bobber with a piece of shrimp on it and you’ll get some fish on the bank, good luck!!

    Any good spots on the green ?? I wanna go tomorrow but idk what to do for first time salmon fishing

    • @maxfishinn
      @maxfishinn  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Honestly there’s tons of good spots all over the river, and with chum being as aggressive as they are they’ll bite on a variety of things. A really good spot and it just opened today is right above the black Diamond road bridge, make sure you stay above the bridge though because it’s closed water down river of it, and just throw a float and jig setup, with some shrimp like I did in the video. Goodluck out there tomorrow and don’t forget to drop a sub if you found this helpful, thanks!! :)
