- This breed of salmon is by far pound for pound the hardest fighting salmon in the world! Chum salmon or sometimes referred to as dog salmon because their less favorable meat are probably one of the most fun catch and release fisheries we have in the Pacific Northwest. Chum are available to catch in November on coastal or inland rivers all over Washington and Oregon. Big Dave, they’re also called dog salmon because the Native Alaskans would dry and feed them to their sled dogs, while the humans stuck to sockeye! Also nice backpacks

We did this drift Wednesday but swamped out trembles for 5/ 0 swash & it was so easy to release them we didn't have to net them. Great video with you two,

I love seeing chum. They have face only a mother could love lo😂 Danio Erythromicron is a fish I like to keep and they are about a inch and a quarter long but I think of them as mini Chums 😉
