- As promised, another new Lego model! I'm really proud of the Edward's Exploit scene recreation in this one! I worked out a method for smooth tracking shots, and I used Circuit Cubes to turn the axle for Edward's slipping wheels. My one minor regret is I forgot to give Edward lamps for the express headcode, but it came out great nonetheless.

When you showed us Edward's tired face, I had thought "Oh it'd be cool if he had an Edward's exploit remake or something." So happy you decided to do it! More remakes at the end would be very fun. Loved the model too!
Thanks! I definitely wanted to do a remake clip at the end since the model isn't motorized. I figured Edward's Exploit would be cool since I can actually remove the rods, so I went ahead and made that face for the mini-remake.

That was my favorite Edward story. Edward endured so much flack from Henry, Gordon and James for being old but even when is Crankpin broke he did it. He didn't let his situation hold him back he powered through and got the passengers to the station, he was The Little Engine That Could. There wasn't a physical Mountain but still. He pulled through.

This is a beautiful Lego build of Edward!!!
I could see Edward motorized with a Circuit Cube in the tender if you gear the drivers with a universal joint or two between engine & tender - might even be able to power the tender if you can optimize the negative space
I'm probably content with pushing him with motorized rolling stock for now, but that's an interesting idea with a universal joint. All the electronics do fit inside the tender, the issue was just traction as I mentioned, even when I added stones to weigh the tender down.
Hi there I really like how you make the Lego Thompson friends that’s really nice you already made Edward, so what if you made Henry do you know the big and strong engine once you do that I want you to try to see and get some inspiration about that because everyone wants to see you try to build Henry out of Lego form. Maybe you can try making more of the railway series coaches like from the express and perhaps more rolling stock as well as trying to make some of the other characters like; Gordon Henry, Duck, Oliver and others that your viewers and I would like to see.

Well . For Edward being your first non motorised engine . He looks the best the no1 pic for me . Toby being no2 . But how about we get a alternate version of Thomas where he is a normal e 2 with one window and the slope at the back ? . And can we get ether Duncan or Oliver next ? Or maybe donald and Douglass and auto coaches …… oh oh maybe the miniature engines and make there instructions free for the sample so you see what you get engine wise . But make it so they run on the same GUAGE as the narrow engines otherwise it would be too heard

You’re Lego models are absolutely incredible!! Have you considered making more standard troublesome trucks, or narrow slate trucks with different expressions, or the other narrow gauge coaches, just to make your collection a little bigger?
I definitely enjoy growing the collection, although I'm usually inclined to make new models for variety before buying more copies of the old. That said, I'd like to make a couple pink quarry trucks, perhaps when I get around to making a Mavis.

First off, LOVE EDWARD'S DESIGN! Being a lego builder myself, I must ask, will the big engines get normal wheels or XL from BBB, and what about boiler designs!?
I'm planning on L BBB wheels and boilers with a 4 studs wide internal construction surrounded by 4-wide curved slopes (like Ryan Evans' big engines)

Not a big fan of being able to see underneath edwards boiler but it looks good aside from that
That was actually intentional to match Edward's appearance in the original Railway Series books. Real steam engines have a gap there too.

I'd imagine so. I didn't attempt it in part because I didn't want to ruin the stickers I'd just applied.
Quick question, let’s say, if I were to buy instructions, would it come with bricks too? Or would I have to get them myself? And I do have to get them myself, where would I get the parts for him?
I buy parts for my models on BrickLink. The wheels are third-party elements from Big Ben Bricks.
2:53 How are you able to make Edward's front driving wheel move without a motor
I touch on it a little in the video description, but I removed the wheel on the back side and attached the Circuit Cubes motor in its place. The model just blocks the Circuit Cubes from view!

Yeah, obviously Edward has that gap in the Railway Series books but not the TV show. Admittedly I'm a little skeptical whether it's possible to fit the Circuit Cubes motor since the axles are too close together, but I'd be curious to hear your idea.

I completely redesigned the bottom, and I didn’t have train wheels or circuit cubes, so I put red pieces where they would go
