So, I’m not sure if you guys noticed, but the Kalamax and reverberate play was done incorrectly. Since nobody in the comments has mentioned it, I think I’ll mention it here. Kalamax can only copy instants. Also, when reverberate was played, you can make kalamax copy reverberate which is an instant and copy reverberate. This will make an infinite loop making kalamax as big as you want. Then just end the loop by having kalamax’s copy of reverberate target your sorcery then resolve it, reverberate copying your sorcery will resolve then let your original sorcery resolve. If you wanted to avoid the infinite, I can understand that. Infinite’s aren’t always fun. Depends on your play group.

It's RRX with multikicker 1, so with four mana it can either be X=2 with no multikicker or X=1 with 1 multikicker then copied with Kalamax i.e. 2 damage to 2 targets or 1 damage to 4 targets (with max of 2 damage applied to the same target). It's a complicated spell!

At 27:50 why didn’t the kalamax player go infinite and make kalamax a threat? She could’ve used kalamax ability to have the reverberate copy itself putting kalamax as big as she wanted.
This is the most attractive commander round I have ever seen. :-) That was a really cool game. I really enjoyed being able to watch. I have a Lathril deck myself and this commander is just a monster. Please keep up the cool games. Would love to see someone play Omnath, Locus of Creation as a commander. AliasV you are awesome. :-) By the way, the Shaman of the Pack was brutal xD.
Oh no! Compulsive Research was not supposed to be able to get copied by Kalamax due to it being a sorcery spell. And I do believe there was a missed copy of Beast Within earlier.
That would have made the Reverberate her first instant, so the result would have been the same in this case. Still, probably doesn't make sense to have Compulsive Research in the deck.
RDRipley no they don't have to. You just add 3 cards to whatever your hand was and discard 2 or 1 land from your hand. There was some mistakes indeed from playing kalamax. Kalamax is more complex and calculatory than people think, getting copies, triggers, ordering triggers, combo copies with reverberate or twin cast or any copy spell. Counting if you want to pump more mana into an x spell and not mulikick it or less mana and multi kick it to optimise damage.

Couldnt you made Kalamax however big you wanted when you cast Compulsive Research and Revertebrate? When Kalamaxe's ability triggers you can choose the target for the new Revertebrate the original one. Copy again, again copy the original one, do this as many times as you like and the last one copies Compulsive Research. So in the end you get 3 Compulsive Research resolutions and however many +1/+1 counters on Kalamax?

Yes. However, she thought that Compulsive Research triggered Kalamax, and therefore Reverberate didn't.
