I’m a family of three and I buy my cleaning supplies ( paper plates/towels, tissues, etc). I also get bottle water, protein shakes and a few other items. It’s nice to stock up, especially when the weather gets colder. The Costco Membership is totally worth it. 👍🏿

We are also a family of two from Oakville. I suggest you get a Freezer if you can find a space. The money we saved by buying meat in bulk paid for our membership in savings and then some. We don't like to drive to grocery every week. And the biggest expense is meat. You can buy whole chicken or big packs of chicken thigh, drumsticks, breasts, salmon and then use Ziplock portions bags to store them in freezer. Saves us time, specially in winter!

Yepp. I freeze the brokkoli, fruits (for cold smoothie frozen fruits are amazing) and you can even put the bread in the freezer it defrosts overnight nice and tasty.

What I love about Costco is that they shop quality and put great prices for you out of all the options available in the open market. Costco gas makes it even sweeter. Costco CIBC card can be thought about for good rewards that they offer. Great video!👍

    Few facts about Costco:
    - No one can beat Costco prices.
    - Return policy is good no question asks and no time limit as when you got it. No receipt needed as for return :)
    - Get your winter tires from Costco (awesome service and warranties)
    - if you guys eat fish .. try Salmon, boneless chicken L& T. Salads are also good
    - You will find long expiry Milk section ...
Trust me Burlington location is better thn Laird Dr. location

The catch is you always end up buying things you did not plan buy at Costco so therefore not worth it, especially if you are only 2

We are a family of 2 just like yours, new in Canada just bought a house and for us Costco is best for cleaning supplies, paper towels, toilet papers and always keep a look out for their furniture and appliances, and all the dry goods. It might look "not worth it" at first but in the long run it will actually be beneficial.

We are family of 3 and Costco is our fav store in US , we had been going to Costco from last 5 years and never regretted anything we got from there. Next time whenever you visit please try their ready made salad kits ( comes very handy ) it would be in the same section where you got spinach pack. You can also try there ice cream and frozen sections they have good stock there .Also you can try their bedding’s ( sheets , duvets). Keep an eye on the discounts and they also do price adjustments for 30 days. Happy shopping
P.S love watching your vlogs :)

  • @harikachaganti468
    @harikachaganti468 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

Hey! I enjoy Costco ..we are a family of 2 as well and we have a furry friend (Siberian husky), and trust me when I say this..you will need Costco. This is your first time so as you go again, you will understand what to buy and what to not. Buy non - perishable items that's the key and also if you are buying anything related to food..you have good selection of organic stuff and that's what makes this place different as you get it at an affordable rate. Costco never compromises on quality so don't worry if you are trying something new.
There are some things which I make sure are in my cart:
    1. Coconut water - must buy.
    2. you bough coke 32 pack I get Diet Coke..so yeah that's good.
    3. next you did not see the deserts section properly.. there will be a frozen deserts section usually around the produce area where you get Tiramisu, flan and all for 6 pack.
    4. organic tortilla chips (ques0 pasa - they are good durable and will stay with you. summers are coming..some dips and chips are good. evening for hosting)
    5. Oats - organic variety is available.
    6. pasta - two versions - one is chickpea pasta (healthy one ) and also you get a combo of pasta and spaghetti (that will stay with for 2 years ) but it won't get spoiled for sure.
    7. Peanut butter - this also won't get spoilt
    8. Avacados - you did buy guacamole but if you wanna make it at home and are a frequent consumer of it, you have a pack of 6 huge avocados (raw) leave it on the counter top for 5 days and they get ripened..so you can use them for a long time. I'm not sure if this works for you ..but think about it.
    9. clementines - you did not go to the fruits sections atleast in the video. they shouldn't be missed.
    10. basmati rice - white and if you lucky even brown .
    11. Quinoa - organic
    12. clothes - you get Kate spade pajamas and Disney pajamas..keep looking at the insta pages they are amazing at giving updates. Do not under estimate the quality of the clothes..they are good..not much in colors but yeah decent for daily wear.
    13. Meal kits - there is a chicken sandwich meal kit which is a must try.
    13. Freeze the meats.. they are amazing..you get good options for organic meats.
    14. I don't know how do you have roti - pre-made or fresh but its pre-made ones -- you get good options in Costco. Aap har din roti pre-made khate ho tho its a bang for the buck.
    15. You have smoothies right..you have some good varieties in the freezing section for this.
    16. Organic milk and eggs - amazing rate
    17. Cheese is relatively affordable over here.
    18. Cauliflower crust pizza with marinara sauce- not the one in the frozen section should be around the produce section. You can bake it in your house .. with the toppings of your choice.
    19. Hands down the medical supplements are amazing.
    20. Upgrading to the executive membership is good.. as it fetches some points.. you go once a month.. and get stuff for the house. And it pools up eventually.
    21. I hope the Burlington Costco has a gas pump coz the gas rates are crazy and the deals are good.
    22. Avocado oil spray or canola oil spray - zero calories will help us make rotisserie , bread - less messy.
    23. taco seasoning and Italian seasoning are good.
    24. frozen falafel, spring rolls and many other options - lazy days ke liye bahut helpful hotha hai
Sorry the list is big..but I hope this helps.

  • @ninabrooks

It is definitely worth it! We are a family of two..buying in bulk requires planning. All the paper products make sense. I also buy my meats in Costco..steaks, lamb chops, rib roasts. As soon as I get home I divide up into smaller portions and freeze. Quality of meat is good. Costco is also great for alcohol. Wine selection is good. For parties and get togethers its the only way to shop. At Christmas and holidays they are great for making baskets for gifts and presents. Finally - check out their travel services. Always have discount prices on vacation rentals, flights and car rentals.

  • @kiarajones2388

The trick is to get stuff when they are on sale. The executive membership is worth it if you’re going to make big purchases, such as appliances, furniture, electronics, cell phone plans, etc in one year. (Around the holidays and during Black Friday, they have great deals on phone plans). Usually online prices are a bit higher, with added delivery costs, but sometimes you get lucky, and will be able to find items that are great online deals, and maybe even the same price than the warehouse prices. I got a couch online, and it was a great deal. The same thing would have cost at least 3x in another retail store. But I got it online, and it was delivered and set up, and it was all included in the price. Milk and cream is usually slightly cheaper in Costco, and their quality is always the best. They also have an amazing return policy. But do check policies for electronics, and there might be some limitations. I don’t buy a lot of produce there though, since things tend to be too much for me to consume, and I can get things cheaper at superstore when I price match. The spinach and mushrooms are a good deal, and so are the Erie Meats chicken nuggets (in the frozen section) when they are on sale.) But I do think Costco is worth it. It is also a great place to get supplements and medicines, and basmati rice, bedding, etc. Check the fliers, and the Costco Canada Instagram account to for information about weekly sales. Also, their food court soft serve, pizza, and fries are amazing

hahaha I was laughing all the way with you guys in Costco! I come from a small family of 2 and we never shop at Costco! But my mother LOVES Costco so she makes us take her there sometimes and then we end up buying huge quantities of stuff we don't really need! Hundreds of dollars later!!!! But I will say things like coffee, tea, meats and toilletries are worth it! oh and don't forget that giant hotdog at the exit! hahaha!

They have bedding items also. I would totally recommend you to visit Costco again and explore other sections as well. They always have good deals in each and every section. Also, you should try their fries and ice cream.

Peekapoo you two are so much fun to watch. Just as "little" trips to Costco are fun. You have to go there with that frame of mind or you are in trouble ha ha. We are a family of 2 plus a fur baby. So I can relate to bulk and quantities. BUT in the long run, it is cheaper on some items. You are a savvy shopper so you know already what is a great price. Costco fave is definitely the Starbucks pods and the pop. Try the poutine next time '-). Thanks for sharing.

If Costco is selling something that means it must be good quality stuff. So, I love to buy stuff from Costco and they have a pretty good return and cash back policy. But yeah one tend to buy extra stuff when at Costco by looking at the price drop but I think this is everywhere here. It is best to buy big stuff. Normal day to day grocery you can to do it at freshco Walmart and other stores.

We r a family of 2 and we love buying stuff from costco. Saves money in the long run plus its fun shopping there.
We buy cleaning supplies, laundry supplies, water filter replacements , room sprays, paper towels/tissues, rotisserie chicken, greek yogurt (kirkland), frozen veggies/fruits, frozen potsticker/wontons, chickpea pasta packs, bread/pav/chips kind of stuff for get-togethers, nuts, healthy snack items, bulk chocolates (india trip 😆), quinoa/seeds, pesto sauce, kfi butter chicken gravy, vitamins, makeup remover, and some additional items every now n then. Tried feta, but cudnt finish it off before it got spoiled (i usually stay away from large quantity of food items that go bad easily, but the price was tempting).
If u visit usa costco, they have great deals on clothes and do checkout their liquor section!!

Me and my wife we went to Costco only 4 times in last 6 months. Buying in bulk doesn’t make sense to us so we prefer FreshCo for groceries but definitely if you wanna buy electronics product then it’s a good place and for gym wears , jackets too. And you guys shifted in a new house then you gonna find a lot of stuff for your new house in Costco. But plan before you go there at the time of checking out you would realise that’s not the expected budget. 😁

I being a single person, still rely on #Costco, though everything is in large quantity, it reduces shopping trips and fuel costs as well.
Must buy for me: Coconut water, protein powder, Multivitamins, Rao's marinara, alfredo Sauce, pasta and herbs, and all types of paper napkins, Water, Keurig K pods, Tim's coffee powder, Ranch sauce, all veggies, milk and creamer, whole wheat super-thin tortilla sheets are also best. Laundry products as well. I also buy some things, which need to be sent to India.
Less dependency on Indian/Asian grocery stores will make life much easier.
Being vegetarian, I have invested in a #foodsaver machine, and I prepare food every fortnight. It is a very nice way to preserve and save time as well. This reduces food deliveries, ultimately, more savings.

The Rao's sauce is SOOOO much better than any other brand and the price at Costco is incomparable.

There is this 6 pack of semolina pasta they sale at costco is very good. It is organic.
we are family of two, in the beginning we thought it is for big family only. but after a year we realized, some products we got it in bulk lasted very long also quality of veggies and fruits are very good. if we can’t finish a whole pack of veggies/fruits, we froze it.
only thing is buy very consciously. so you don’t ended buying things that you actually don’t need it.

Just to add here ask your husband to get blink doorbell it does same work as ring. If he wants ring then don't buy it from Costco as its old model, wait until Prime day (by Amazon) he will get good deal.

Congrats on finally going to Costco!!! We too are a family of two and regularly shop from Costco for daily consumables and once in three/four months for stuff like bounty rolls, tissue packs, etc. You will realize the worth when after three months you will be like it is still going on...😄

You can buy butter , greek yogurt if you drink smoothies, mozzarella shredded cheese pack, clothes are good , leggings , inner wears, dry fruits , smoothies pack, medicines and it’s good store, kale salad , ready made food like sushi , tacos . Chicken is cheap and you can freeze it . Marinated chicken wings are too good.hand soap , body washes , shampoo, conditioner, sugar, tea bags are always cheap

Bill is never less than 250 for me at costco. We are 4 people now. So tissue and toilet paper are best from costco. Their rolls are thicker than walmart etc. so they go longer and you dont run to store every month!! I buy lotions, soaps, shampoo, coditioner, toilet cleaner, bread, naan, banana , apples, tomatoes, nuts, chocolates, yogurt etc from costco. I buy regular milk chocolate not dark one ;) clothes for casual wear are aso good there. Overall good quality at affordable prices. You spend more but they last longer. Like ketchup and mustard sauce last for an year!! Its imp to stay focussed else I buy random stuff!!

You already have gotten good advice regarding Costco shopping. Even Executive membership is worth it, may be a bit more worth it. Unlike me you are not vegetarians. That makes it even more worth it for you. Other products that I tend to buy there is office supplies like paper for the printers at my wife's family physician clinic. Also Seasonal things like seeds, fertilizer etc. For my front & backyard. Your enthusiasm on your first experience at Costco was nice to watch. Enjoy.

Hey pooja 😊For me costco is love . I get quinoa, chia seeds , clothes btw amazing quality, socks in particular even gym wear like leggings n shoes , nuts , all sorts of seeds , hemp , chia are good quality and will last you a really long time . Also paper products for sure . Ketchups, detergents, sauces, breads , spinach , burger patties, chicken , spring rolls , cheese in bulk, frozen berries, spices like italian herbs etc, do try their salads . They’re amazing especially the sweet kale and asian cashew , the bedding stuff is nice and very high quality like comforters and blankets. N last but not the least , gifts for india like chocolates and other branded clothes n everything. ❤️

Honestly you just have to be smart about it!
There are somethings that you bought like paper towels and detergent which can be bought in bulk and save money.
There are a lot more things that you can buy in bulk once a year and then you don’t have to think about it!

You didn't get the most famous Rotisserie chicken. It is really good and very cheap as well. Costco is really near to my place so I always go there to figure out if there is anything new.
My favorite is Rotisserie chicken and pecan nuts.
