Finally! Finally! I was finally able to get my Phantom 3 4K to actually calibrate and work. The other videos didn't break down EACH of the necessary steps that were needed in order to accomplish this. Despite the absence of any audio and/or verbal commands, the video illustrated which button to press and even demonstrated the relevant messages that came up during the calibration process. Thanks sooo much MicBergsma!

Thank you! Great big help! My friend gave me his old crashed phantom 3 as a challenge to fix it. I love projects like that. It needed a new top shell, a new motor, a new light and a rc linking button. He gave me his newer controller but we couldn’t link it. Later I found out it was torn off. So I replaced all that linked the controller and I kept getting that error which took five try’s at restarting the aircraft to fix it. I tried this and it instantly fixed my problem without any restarting! I’d rather calibrate for five minutes than restarting it for fifteen minutes. When ever I get that error which is 50/50 I j have to calibrate the imu and it’s all good to fly.
I tried for hours to get this thing going with no luck. Was about to dump it, and found your video. Now it's flying for the first time in 3 years!!!

I got a phantom 3 std and I can't get it to fly over 180 ft I tried a next control but it keep saying lost of signal to controller any idea how to fix that.
could be a few things. make sure your not flying within restricted or nofly zone. i live close to airport but am not even close to red circle but had issues solely because of nofly zone

What if the imu gets to 1% and shuts down
Great video but if you had used a microphone it would have been better!
most people put the aircraft in the fridge, get it cold, pull it out of the fridge put it a level surface and then do the IMU calibration. Then your aircraft warms up alot faster.

I click calibrate when I turn my drone on...and can't get past 0%. Anyone help me out?!

I'm having the same problem with my drone out of the box
Yes. You need to update the firmware lol. I had no clue and was working on it forever. Download the new firmware from the DJI site, and put it on the MINI Sd, and then put the card back in the drone. It starts updating by itself and takes about 20 minutes. After that, it was working perfectly.

You're welcome dude. I can't believe no one helped me out! I just took a guess and saw that there was new firmware. But yes, you just need a card reader and an adapter to plug in you're mini-SD if need be.

Why no audio. Verbal instruction with visual improves learning greatly.
You never said the drone had to be level
+MrSuiram20 of course the drone has to be on level ground, otherwise the calibration will be off giving you a false reading/ending up with same problem.
