In this video we will review the symptoms and causes associated with a TV screen that has black circles forming on it, that look like black ink dots.
If you have large black dots showing up on your TV screen, that look like black ink dots, this is caused by a problem with the TV panel. Since it is the panel causing the issue, there is not a repair.
The only way to get rid of the dots, is to replace the TV panel. Here at shopjimmy.com we do not sell replacement TV panels.
Here are some closeups of what the black dots can look like. Once again there is not a repair for this problem, unless you replace the TV panel. Replacing the TV panel can sometimes be a very difficult process.
It can be tough to find the exact replacement panel for your TV and they can cost up to 80 percent of what you paid for the TV originally.

I liked this video because we just had our tv panel replaced because of the exact same issue. Initially I was suspicious of our repairman but this video says exactly the same thing that our repairman said. So the video did help in clearing things out. BTW our new panel didn't cost us much as we went with a cheap compatible panel which just works fine.

how was it a waste of time? Take your tv to a repair shop and pay 80% of the price of a new tv for one you might get 35% of the origional purchase price if you sold it.. OR buy a new tv and keep the old one for a rec room or something and ignore the dots
I had this problem on a resin 3D printer, dark spots cames from pressure on the screen that pushed the liquid crystal away.
2 ways to fix it :
- wait some weeks, liquid crystal may slowly come back in the dark spots reducing/suppressing them.
- gently rub around the spot with an erraser gum (or any other gentle material).
You can either push the spot out of the screen, or reduce the spot by pushing liquid crystal in.

You can either :
a) Wait 1 or two weeks.
b) Push the bubble outside of the screen. Use something soft. Eraser or plastic.
c) Push liquid crystal in the bubble.

My tv has the same black dot (about the size of a poker chip). It was on the bottom left corner of the screen. Noticed I said "WAS". The image inside the black dot was missing (black). But now over several months, the black dot has moved. It is no longer on the bottom corner. Now it is more toward the center of the lower left quadrant area. In other words, if you divide the screen into 4 quarters - the is in the lower left quarter. It was all the way in the corner of the quarter area, but now it is toward the center of the quarter area. The image is now ok where the black dot used to be (the old location), as if nothing ever happened. Now the image is black in the new location. This leads me to believe there is no physical damage to the LCD panel itself. I think this is an image control issue, otherwise why would the old area come back to life. What causes this? And will the black dot move to a new area in the near future (like dead center of the screen)? How can you fix this?
There is another video on you tube that shows you how to fix these AND IT WORKS! The video is for computer monitors I believe but it works on phones some people commented and I know for a fact that works on TVs because I had three black spots with lines between them that I got rid of. Calls for a wet Q tip, elbow grease and some patience. Use the Qtip and press firmly on the screen rubbing towards the edge of the screen. Keep doing that until it's gone. Mine were more towards the middle of the screen of my Samsung TV and larger than the size of a quarter. Took a little while to get them completely worked out but I am happy to say they are gone now! We were going to buy a new one and now there is no need. Search for the video or just do what it says here. You can press harder than you think. Start out firm but not extremely hard and then you can increase pressure. I would work on it a little bit then take a break for a while. It eventually work though. Pretty cool from going to buying a whole new TV to using a wet q-tip to fix the one you have. Saved a lot of money. Try it it should work. I figured what I got to lose the TV is already "broke" turned out it wasn't. Have a good day everyone

Hullo, i bought a Hisense LED tv 32', ( model: LHD32D33T) but it developed a problem with the display after 4 months, the screen is went blank and black, however sound and back light are active, what could be the problem?

I got a black blob on my tv, in the top right corner. It appeared just after I dusted the back of the telly, it was like 3mm thick of dust & I reckon some of the dust went in the vents.

This could happen in any LCD panel, not just TV.
Friend some days before I was bought an Sony led tv 46 inches made by malaysia, as I turn on one black dot appear on the front right side of the panel, now I am really worry now the condition is that I have no any solution to clean the dot, so I pack it again in its box, I think Led TV is money waste product, I am very sad to buy it, I was pay six thousand united States dollars to shopkeeper, very sad.

If you got black circles on your TV screen it's because you hit it with something and broke it and it starts making black circles appear I know because I broke mine like that I threw something at it and then later on it started getting black circles

My Samsung 4K curved tv did two big ink dots And a grey bar coming from them One ink dot has. A very small white light It's under warranty but Samsung has the worst customer service
