HI HERE I GO AGAIN WITH MY SILLY LITTLE VERY LONG VERY UNNECESSARY COMMENT!! (and a horrifying amount of spelling mistakes probably) 1. as a fellow taylor fan i wanted to appreciate the question...? reference at the beginning, your music taste is IMMACULATE, seriously 2. I HAVE TO MENTION YOUR LOOK IN THIS VID, IT'S SO CUTE!! THE SWEATER??? THE MAKEUP??? YOU LOOK SO PRETTY, DEFINITELY YOUR COLORS!! 3. very light-hearted tip on the pronunciation of meliora, because i suffered at the beginning too: there's only one "i" - you say opus eponymous just right tho!! 4. THE MOOMINS NOTEBOOK IS ADORABLE IM GONNA CRYYYY 5. the genuine joy in your eyes while listening to the title track has made my entire week fr, it felt so personal, rlly took me back to when i heard it for the first time, it's such a precious thing to watch you experience it 🥹 6. now listen idk how to word this shit, cause english is HARD, but bare with me. you said that tobias should be involved in movie-making in some way, cause of his ability to bring images to people's heads and you're SO right, he actually mentioned (i think it was the two doods reviews podcast) that his dad worked in the film-making industry so when he was a kid his father would always explain to him how certain effects, backgrounds etc. were done from a more technical point of view, therefore he's experienced in stuff like that. obviously it affects the music videos and general imaginary of ghost A LOT 7. that's actually the first time i had the courage to listen to the commentary versions (they give me church PTSD for some reason??) and i just wanna say i'm really glad I got to share this experience with you!! 🩷 8. absolutely agreed, secular haze gives me major anxiety, but in a good way 9. jigolo har megiddo has got to be one of my favourites of all time, your panic was very relatable, i get it; i've never seen anyone compare it to he is, but i can TOTALLY see that!! 10. YEAR ZERO IS A MASTERPIECE ACTUALLY. IT'S LIFE-CHANGING, SOUL-CRUSHING, HEARTBREAKING AND GUT-WRENCHING. it's so good it's almost agonising. started 2023 while listening to it and i have to say it was fucking incredible; 11. "unpopular opinion, but if i was friends with jesus (even though he wouldn't be friends with me, cause i'm a woman)" GIRL THE WAY I LOVE YOU, THIS SENTENCE IS DEFINITELY THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY DAY 12. depth of Satan's eyes is CRIMINALLY overhated, so i'm rlly glad u liked it!! 13. we, as a community, appreciate your sacrifice for us, thanks for taking your time to edit this
You dont know how much I appriciate this...like, I cant even find words for how happy this makes me! Whenever I post a video I always look forward to seeing your comment, your comments always MAKE. MY. FUCKING. DAY!!! I wish I could reach through the screen and just HUG YOU SO HARD! Thank you for letting me into your life, and thank you for coming with me on this journey. This is not the ending at all, just a new chapter opening, and im so excited so many are still around! Im honored to have affected your life in just a *tiny* bit, you are an angel, and I hope that, in some ways, these videos have helped you just a tiny bit. Thank you, sending you so much love my darling💖 PS: The fact that I (???) could introduce someone to AURORA just made my day eeeee!
My FAVORITE story about this album is when Tobias tried to find a choir in like Tennessee to record and they were like, “Satan??? No way.” So, he went to Los Angeles and had no problem. 😂 Also, the feeling during Year Zero live is x1000. The feeling of the flames on your face and chanting along with the whole stadium. It’s an experience. You gotta go to a Ghost show. 🥰
'this man needs to create movies' well, have I got news for you... tobias is working on a mini concert film rn, that will likely have extra lore stuff in it!
The irony of Papa’s (Tobias) soft voice atop the heavier instrumental, is that the contrast adds this offputting menace. Like he sounds calmer and more serene than he should be given the subject matter. It gives this sense of confident malice. It’s creepy, but in a compelling way. It fits the Papa Emeritus character. (i hope by now you have learned that at least when seeing them live you should suspend disbelief and see Papa on stage, not Tobias Forge. That’s what he is going for. He wants to be a showman and play a character.
Honestly i love this album, jigolo har megiddo and idolatrine are my favorite songs in this but im addicted to that transition from infestissumam to per aspera ad inferi
Papa The 3rd (the one from Meliora era) always ended concerts with Monstrance Clock as well and at the end of the song he always said like "Dont you forget what you promissed! When you come home, you all have to f*ck each other!" :D Maybe after the extended version songs, you could react to Ceremony And Devotion, which is live audio album (Just be wary that Elizabeth and Secular Haze are missing on Spotify and other streaming services for some reason but I guess you can find the whole album here on TH-cam)
Definitely a bit late to this, so maybe someone else explained it or you've looked into the meaning more, but when Tobias said that Ghuleh/Zombie Queen was about nostalgia, he meant how we tend to look at things through rose tinted glasses. For instance maybe a movie, or a game, or an amusement park that, as a kid you loved, and when you think about it, you have fond memories of it, but if you watched that movie, or played that game now, you realize that maybe it wasn't as good as you remember. Time kind of distorts your perception of things. In the song, the literal meaning is about the "zombie queen" Lilith, who's considered the Heretic Goddess, or "Heresis Dea".
Great review/reaction! All of their albums are so strong, and each has their own character. Fun to hear Tobias' commentary, though it's funny how his voice is pitched down like a person in a witness protection program.
"Where am i?" It's okay. It's just funny-creepy-satanic trip with Tobias:) Fun fact: "Year Zero" is first track that i hear from Ghost. And... Here i am, one of the fans of this group xDDD
Love that you've made it all the way through Ghosts' Discography. Its been fun watching you and a guy named RockdaRiff do the same thing at the same time. The explosion of ghost since mary on a cross went viral on tik tok has been crazy. I've been saying that Tobias deserved more recognition as an artist. He is easily one of the best writers I've ever listened to and broke down. Always a nook in the song you don't pick up on at first too. Highly recommend listening to every album in order a few times to catch it all. Thank YOU! I'm sad however that you couldn't share your reaction to Body and Bloods solo the first time. For me it's one of the best solo's for a song that Tobias has wrote. It hits every single time. I hope you dive in deeper and listen to more than just Ghost. Tobias has done a lot of underground things. Repugnant is so evil and gross lol. Subvision is the pre ghost and even softer. PLEASE react to Subvision on here. Not many dive deeper than Ghost. And again Thank you for the unique analysis of Ghost songs. Your point of view has shown me even more within songs and lyrical meaning. Happy you're officially a Ghoul, now we have to get you to a concert.
Also almost every song is written by Tobias with the thoughts of putting on a show. So when you feel like he is "Reaching out" it's probably because he wrote it with the intention of doing that same action live. Usually he even makes the moments during those songs personal to audience members. Staring just one person in the eyes, holding someone's hand, etc. I've even seen him kiss someone on the forehead during He Is. He is a fantastic entertainer through and through, and his ability to write to make his shows even more impactful for fans is mind boggling and crazy to try and comprehend how he does it perfectly every time.
Thank you for this reaction, I was looking forward to it! I think that now you should react to their EP "Seven Inches of Satanic Panic" made in 2019, before Impera, it's made of only two songs (in 60ies style) but they are great imho.
For the record, the hair is great and your English is flawless, so don't feel insecure about either. Seriously, I would never know it isn't your native tongue and you often understand things that go over my head. Best music reactions I have ever seen, this has been an amazing journey! Your level of intelligent analysis of the lyrics and music combined with just how much fucking joy you get from each track is amazing, it's contagious. Thank you so much!
@@hedvigkhaugen Thank you so much! I'm just going to be listening to your Ghost reactions on repeat. Just imagine what it's like having Year Zero being the first Ghost song I ever heard, haha. I'm glad it had such an impact on you. And when you mentioned that you hadn't spoken English in months, my immediate reaction was "WHAT?! But it's so perfect!" Anyway, I hope you're having an amazing day!
@@hedvigkhaugen hope you're doing well! I just wanted to add that I really hope in a few months, you put out a video going over your favorite Ghost tracks once they've all had time to marinate. Like which are still your favorites you listen to all the time? Which did you not care for at first but now you adore it? Which are you singing in the shower?! The people need to know!!! Take care Hedvig haha
@@Fr0stShock ahahh that video will definitely be coming after I finish with all the tracks (however long THAT is going to take🤓), but I could sit and talk about my favorite songs for hours! Definitely coming!❤️
Hi Hedvig. First of all i'm so glad you liked the album. Infestissuman is actually my least favorite of the five but that doesn't say much because I really love this album too. One thing that i really really like that you do is that you don't just listen and say aaah, that was good or that was bad. You really take the time to try to understand how Tobias (and in some songs Martin) mind works and what he is trying to tell his audience. I've seen so many reactions especially to the songs on Impera where people listen once and say i don't like this it's too happy sounding and not paying any attention to the lyrics. You're on the other hand sees the whole picture. You're very smart and figure the most out for yourself but is not afraid to do the right thing and go to the source if there is something you missed or wondering about. This is the right way to really appreciate Ghost because there is so much more than just the music. When you really understand how genious Tobias is who not only writes and records the songs but has created the whole story and company. He really is behind just everything from the lightning on stage to how the album cover should be like. On this album Martin Persner also contributed with a lot. Every song you see that has Indigo Marcato credited has parts from Martin. He has for an example written some parts of Year Zero that you like so much. Everyone has their song by Ghost that just blows them away and i really recognize myself when i heard He Is the first time. I had the exact same reaction. So to sum it up, just keep on doing this great job and i will follow you for more videos. Vänliga hälsningar från Sverige. /Magnus Ooh, please let me know what interview you're listening to when Tobias explains the songs. I recognize it and i know that i seen it but can't remember it right now.
Thank you so much/tusen takk for you comment! Music and art are my passions, so for me personally, it would be a slap in the face to the artists if I didn't try to look at it from every angle I could! As for the commentary, I just listened to the commentary version of this album on Spotify! :)
My favourite Ghost reactor (you're right up there) just finished his journey, and his fav album is this one. You and him made me love it much more then when I first listened to it. It definitely clicked more with me when he was reacting and now you... It is excellent one indeed
Favorite ones on this list are definitely “Year Zero”, “Per Aspera Ad Inferi”, “Jigolo Har Megiddo” and for some reason “Zombie Queen” 🤣 p.s. love binging your Ghost album reactions 🫶🏻
You should react to Popestar or If you have ghosts, two cover albums with themes like Nocturnal me or the already named If you have ghosts (it's like an anthem to the Ghost community) Also, if you want (obviously) react to Zenith (my favourite one of the band). Anyways, fantastic video as always 💚💚
This album has some bangers, I remember being in the photo pit after this album came out and having one of the nameless ghouls stomping like a mofo in 4/4 time right in front of me. I know their live shows are massive and great now, but the simple first few runs of Ghost were dark, heavy and evil.
I've seen a lot of people list this as their least favorite album, but I put this as my second favorite behind Meliora. Very theatrical (often very cheeky) and still sporting the originality of the melodies and arrangements from Opus Eponymous. I never get tired of these early albums.
Glad to see your journey continue and I have loved seeing you experience these for the first time. I would love to see a live concert watch along video. There are a few fairly high quality fan cam recordings of their live show from the most recent tour. Also if you're up for it I'd like to see your reaction to Tobias old death metal band Repugnant since they have a full album and an EP I believe.
@@hedvigkhaugen I did and gurl let me tell ya something... Welcome to the fandom and the ever lasting anxiety attack for every single Papa's end of era~ We're a family now.
This was wonderful ❤️. All your Ghost videos have been fantastic. Love all of their albums so it’s tough to rank them (look forward to that video lol 😉). Also can’t wait for the video where you react to the remaining tracks. You’re going to lose your mind at Zenith! Much love ❤️
im not finished but your raction to Secular Haze is sO GOOD its the exact feel it gives, you can really tell what tobias was going for the drowning feel
One of the guys in the band told me that when they got the first choir on set, the choir refused to sing the lyrics. So they had to search around the states for a choir willing to sing about Satan and Lucifer😁. The guitar effect on Zombie Queen ( the western/surf sound) is called tremolo. Nice review by the way👍🇸🇪
Hey so cool ! Love your Ghost reaction as a huge fan of the band You seemed to really like the band and you made a lot of research, you don’t do it for the click and that cool ! You need to listen and react to « Bible » and « I believe » from Deluxe edition of Meliora I think you would love these songs
This is just a music tip for you Hedvig (or anyone else for that matter). Devin Townsend. This guy is an absolute genius and crazy in the best ways possible. His catalog contains pretty much everything running from Disney-esque to Death Metal, Progressive metal, and probably a bunch of other genres with songs that I haven't heard myself yet. The things of his that I personally have heard is not particularly similar to Ghost, but if you like interesting music and thought-provoking lyrics you'll be right at home. My current personal favorite song of his is from his latest album, Lightwork, released under his own name. The song in question is "Call of the Void". Don't let the title fool you, it's absolutely not as dark as you think. It also has a connection to Norway. The music video for it on TH-cam mostly consists of footage from a Go Pro (or similar) mounted onto the front of a train running in the north of Norway. According to Devin, he chose this because for a time he became obsessed with videos like it during Covid isolation. It's available on Spotify, but I recommend the music video on TH-cam because it enhances the experience. th-cam.com/video/SpBO0RbLKJ0/w-d-xo.html Have a nice day anyone who reads this :)
I love your reactions too much! I wished you could do maybe mvs and like your opinions on other ghost stuff! I adore these videos and it’s so fun to watch! ❤
maybe next you can review all cover ghost song so far, bonus track on every album latest live stage, or any Papa era you want to see a bit live stage if its help or anything with you insecurity, i cant help but look at your right eyebrow
wow i love Secular Haze too, definitely 10/10 🥳 for me this song make me forgot about all my problem, i fell like become a void this song never played live stage again recently tho
@@hedvigkhaugen Cool! Btw, there is a video on yt where ghost is live in Oslo playing Year Zero. They build up the whole church theme scene and the whole crowd sings along in "Hell Satan". The video is from the time when Papa III was the frontman!
Ladies and Gentlemen, what you've all been waiting for; yet another one of my unnecessarily long comments! I will be here all week. In all seriousness, I watched your video as soon as it came out, but then school got in the way haha. I remember most of what I wanted to say, though! So, first of all great video, we are all very happy you survived the editing process dhsjsj- Second, I adored your reaction to Year Zero! Your insight on the entire album was delightful but I would give so much to hear that song for the first time again. For me, it's the definition of a religious experience. An unholy baptism that all of us Ghost fans go through, so, officially welcome to our little cult! Your reaction to the very first "Hail Satan" was priceless, WE ARE RIGHT THERE WITH YOU, DUDE. And the fact that you said 'Hallelujah' and Tobias sang the most majestic "Hail Satan" right after??? That had me in tears. /Magnus
Ooh, please let me know what interview you're listening to when Tobias explains the songs.
@@LuisMartinez_1095 OMG YOU’RE BINGING ALL OF THEM?? Thank you so much, that is so sweeett!🫶
@@hedvigkhaugen of course! You have a fun personality! And I love watching people geek out and fangirl over my favorite bands and music too 😭🔥
I think your hair is adorable, and your English is just fine. I've been a Ghoulette for 6 years, and I love seeing people discover this amazing band.
You should react to Popestar or If you have ghosts, two cover albums with themes like Nocturnal me or the already named If you have ghosts (it's like an anthem to the Ghost community)
Also, if you want (obviously) react to Zenith (my favourite one of the band).
Secular Haze music video was fire
I'm mad that TH-cam just decided to send me this journey at the "end" of it basically. But great reaction btw, loved it all.
Thank you so much!! Hopefully you’ll go back to the beginning anyway ;)❤️❤️
@@hedvigkhaugen I did and gurl let me tell ya something... Welcome to the fandom and the ever lasting anxiety attack for every single Papa's end of era~
We're a family now.
Thank you!! Im dreading making the ranking video🤠
Yes, please do Zenith !!!
im not finished but your raction to Secular Haze is sO GOOD its the exact feel it gives, you can really tell what tobias was going for the drowning feel
One of the guys in the band told me that when they got the first choir on set, the choir refused to sing the lyrics. So they had to search around the states for a choir willing to sing about Satan and Lucifer😁.
The guitar effect on Zombie Queen ( the western/surf sound) is called tremolo. Nice review by the way👍🇸🇪
I was looking forward to this video.
This album is peak Ghost for me!
Probaby my fav album from them, literally every song slaps 🕺🏻 especially Ghuleh/Zombie queen
THE JOURNEY IS FINALLY COMPLEEEEEEEEEETE
Don't forget to listen to Zenith, it's not on Spotify but you can find it here on TH-cam
You should check out the acoustic version of jigelow Tobias vocals are so pure and amazing
'If You Have Ghost' and 'Popestar' EPs next? 😃
At least Popestar! Not sure if I’ll do IYHG because I have heard the majority of the songs on my own time, but I’ll see!
@@hedvigkhaugen Awesome!
You should react to the cover of Abba's "I'm a Marionette"
Year Zero live is a fucking religious experience. 😍😈
This is my favorite album! I was very excited for your reaction, thank you for your videos♥️😩
I love this album with all my heart. God.
Hey so cool ! Love your Ghost reaction as a huge fan of the band
You seemed to really like the band and you made a lot of research, you don’t do it for the click and that cool !
You need to listen and react to « Bible » and « I believe » from Deluxe edition of Meliora
I think you would love these songs
I would love to see your reaction to the music video for Monstrance Clock
You have to check out a live performance of Year Zero, it’s so so good
This is just a music tip for you Hedvig (or anyone else for that matter).

Have a nice day anyone who reads this :)
I love your reactions too much! I wished you could do maybe mvs and like your opinions on other ghost stuff! I adore these videos and it’s so fun to watch! ❤
The lyrics from Idolatrine are almost word for word taken from the Omen 3 I think
Secular haze seems to me like a sort of waltz or a similar motion
Spent all day watching these this is actually heartbreaking
End of a 5 hour era
maybe next you can review all cover ghost song so far, bonus track on every album
latest live stage, or any Papa era you want to see a bit live stage
if its help or anything with you insecurity, i cant help but look at your right eyebrow
wow i love Secular Haze too, definitely 10/10 🥳
for me this song make me forgot about all my problem, i fell like become a void
this song never played live stage again recently tho
MY RIGHT EYEBROW LOL??? Hopefully that’s good???
The first time I heard the track infestissumam it's the closest thing to a religious experience I've ever had LOL
is that a moomin book? are moomin a thing in norway as well as in Finland/Sweden?
Oh absolutely! It originates from Finland, and after that it was broadcast all over Scandinavia!
@@hedvigkhaugen oh, damn. was it translated or still in Swedish? (or Finland's Swedish)
@@ghouldr1964 everything was translated! I watched it in Norwegian when I grew up, so I’m sure Swedish is still out there!
@@hedvigkhaugen Cool! Btw, there is a video on yt where ghost is live in Oslo playing Year Zero. They build up the whole church theme scene and the whole crowd sings along in "Hell Satan". The video is from the time when Papa III was the frontman!
Secular haze is my favorite on this album
And year zero
Year Zero had no right to slap on my face this hard
react to king diamond's abigail album please, it's a concept album with a horror story, better than many current horror movies ✌🏽🤘🏽
Imagine this album with Impera production and mixing, Jesus...
I would simply cease to be. I cant even imagine how “SECULR HAZE” would sound
If you wish to react to an artist you may not have heard of, I recommend Aesthetic Perfection with the album MMXXI
Aaaahhhhhhh THE LAST OF UUUUUUUSSSSSSSSS soo good, my favourite game and probably going to be my favourite show
I have never played the game, so I’m so excited to watch the show with fresh eyes!
@@hedvigkhaugen I’m watching it with my dad and he is so confused at times where I am sooooo excited hahahaha
I am really looking forward to your reactions of the tracks you missed, I think you'll LOVE them! And, side note, have you watched the newest Ghost Chapter? I haven't yet but I am on it now! Anyway, keep up the wonderful energy that you have, and I will magically appear in the next comments section
Eeeee, hi, I missed you!! Thank you so much for watching and commenting again! Year Zero was definitely a religious experience, I love that track with my entire heart!
I sometimes rewatch my old reactions (because I’m a narcissist heheh) and what I wouldn’t GIVE to be able to hear some of these tracks for the first time again! It’s almost a little sentimental🥺 thank you so much for all your love!
YES I WATCHED THE CHAPTER LAST NIGHT! Wasn’t exactly crazy exciting, but I love Def Leppard, and the new track is awesome! What did you think?❤️
@@hedvigkhaugen Awhh, I missed you too, always get super giddy when you post! I don't know much about Def Leppard but if they're collabing with Ghost, they are for sure worth checking out! It definitely wasn't a big chapter lore-wise, but I'M KIND OF THANKFUL FOR THAT. I am so afraid yet excited for what's to come. Where do you stand on the Copia death theory? (or, I guess it's just an inevitable fact but I'll miss that little rat man 😔🐀).
@@alexandra8833 Tbh, im a huge fan of the anti christ theory. The whole idea of Copia "dying" and then coming back to revenge the other Papas??? So fucking cool. I dont think thats the way it will go, but oh my god, how awsome would it be?
@@hedvigkhaugen it would be SO amazing, I am really looking forward to seeing how it will go! You mentioned going to that festival where Ghost will perform, right? You'll get to see Copia before the death theoretical rebirth, hahaha!
@@alexandra8833 and thank GOD for that lol. I would be so sad if i missed him before naything happend lol
Infesstissumam is such a brilliant album. To me it feels like something i shouldnt be listening to. Something forbidden.
Like a long forgotten manifesto or something
You listen to Ghost & Taylor Swift?!! SUBSCRIBE.

YEAR zero is GODTIER
So I just finished watching your last Ghost video. You are awesome. I would really like to see you react to some albums by my favorite band Porcupine Tree. I recommend starting with the In Absentia album and moving forward. Thank you for your work and most of all keep going. With or without patreon. Bye Bye
I know this tour is an imperatour but if they play Year zero at tons of rock I am going to DIEE
I had to re-comment this bc my TH-cam crashed and deleted the other one 🥲 so sorry if you got many notifications
They play Year Zero everytime, if it ever stops being played I'd be surprised...
