I've never laughed, smiled until my cheeks hurt, blushed, teared up, and felt so immensely proud of my taste in music all at the same time like this with any reaction on youtube except yours. I already loved Ghost, but you make me love them more than I thought I ever would. To me, you are the core example of what makes Ghost special. Thank you! 😊🙏
Square Hammer is so cheery compared to the rest of Meliora very intentionally, Tobias wrote it during the Meliora era because he felt they needed an energetic and exciting intro song for concerts which he felt they didn't have yet.
your reaction to bible was the same as mine it was like a transient experience, i love how sincere it is. the whole thing about satanism (ghosts lore version where there is an actual higher being of satan) that god is real too within it. and did create the world. and idk its just ugh its amazing
One of the best covers Ghost did (in my opinion) is their cover to “It's a Sin”, I can't find it outside of TH-cam which is a massive shame because I want to listen to it in its full glory.
Just wanted to say that I first discovered you through your reaction to Impera. I was so happy with how thorough you were reacting to each song and analyzing their meanings. I watched the rest of the album reactions so I was so happy to see this. It’s been an absolute joy seeing you delve into this fandom and love the music! Welcome!
Not sure if you know this but there's also two very underrated songs that Tobito featured in: I'm not afraid - Emigrate ft. Cardinal Copia Under the spell - Me and that man ft. Mary Goore I'm not sure exactly what happened but apparently the studio didn't allowed Tobias to use the name of Papa Emeritus so he had to use this other character he had, Mary Goore (from his old death metal band, Repugnant)
Hey so happy to see you back at it ! Such a nice voice you have by the way Waited for that reaction I think you still have to react to «if you have ghost » 2013 album release
You already know what this is; so settle in and let's get into it! First of all, hiii, happy Valentines, I hope you had a great day (that doughnut-is it a doughnut if it has no hole?-looks delicious). I love your outfit, and from one "always overdressed" person to another, there is NO SUCH THING as too much! I also gotta tell you that I have the same sweater but in gray (just European things) so we are matching today. There are so many things I want to say so let me try to keep them in order. I don't know if I've ever mentioned your singing voice before, you always gloss over it, but it's honestly so pretty??? I saw you had some covers on your channel but it still blew me away whenever I heard it! I was definitely singing along with you when Mary On A Cross and Kiss The Go-Goat came on, and it was honestly so fun. Watching your reactions always feels like I'm just hanging out and listening to the songs with a friend (not in a parasocial way, I promise xo) and that adds a really cute, charming quality to your videos. Onto the actual songs, let's see how long I can go without gushing about Bible. Square Hammer is such a fun track and it was my favourite for a long time. With songs that have no set meaning, I like to create my own, and the line "Are you ready to swear right here right now, before the Devil?" always makes me think of a First Holy Communion, where they basically make you swear you believe in God in front of the whole church. This song is so therapeutic for me in that way. I enjoy the other covers, and Nocturnal Me is definitely a Papa III song, like GOD DAMN! Aaand... Bible. Oh, Bible. When I tell you I am 100% certain that your reaction was genuine because I WAS THE SAME WAY- It's just such a powerful song, it made me cry the first time I heard it. I think in it's message, it's a more serious version of criticizing religion. Instead of turning it on its head or poking fun at it, like you said, they sing about the atrocities that God comitted (the great flood for example). "Now who will pray for Babylon?" Who will pray for the damned and the sinful? That always gets me, man. I will now proceed to listen to it over and over again. I'm happy to hear that your Ghost journey is not quite over, I always look forward to these! Take your own time to process and heal from the emotional mess that is Popestar and come back at your own time fgefaegfjhgaef- This message is long enough as is, so let me cut it here haha. I hope you have a great rest of your day and I'll look forward to seeing you again!
EEEEE I LOVE YOUR COMMENTS OMG!!! I’ve seen so many other Europeans in the comments talk about owning this exact sweater, and that’s honestly iconic. Isn’t cool that we are connected by clothing??? EVERYTHING IS ALWAYS CONNECTED First of all, I LOVE your interpretation of Square Hammer, so I’m gonna start listening to it with that in mind as well hehe!! Bible is a gorgeous song, the way I literally can’t get through it without physically having to sit down, it’s insane. You are so sweet for mentioning my singing omg!! My heart is in musical theater, as you might have noticed from my channel only having musicals covers🤙 THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING HERE AGAIN, ILY!
More GHOST! There are 2 live videos of the first performance of Bible by Ghost. You must see these 2 videos to experience what the band experienced on stage with the chorus. Awesome and emotionally moving!
Ahhh yes I’m also going to be seeing Ghost this year! I’m so excited. Their USA tour dates just dropped today I got VIP! I can’t wait. I’m doing front row experience. Also I 100% understand what you mean with his singing ruining you lol. I heard Bible… Life Eternal etc and cried idk it’s just something about how he sings. His emotion!!! I feel it coming through. And also I love hearing your voice when you explain stuff because you have such a beautiful singing voice as well!
I’m happy you’re also as obsessed with Mary On A Cross as I am. Similarly to you, I discovered it on a TikTok but during November of 2022, and I enjoyed the melody so I researched it and it introduced me to Ghost. And to this day, I cannot stop listening to it so much that my gf has become sick of it 🤣 The “beauty” line is also my favorite and has stuck with me ever since I first heard it. Something about it is so sweet and reassuring, like you see beauty in someone’s flaws or “imperfections”. That’s just me tho. Alright, I paused the video after your Seven Inches reaction, time to continue! 🤣
@@LuisMartinez_1095 HELLO AGAIN AHAHA! You’re so sweet for watching all of these! I loved the line so much I actually got it tattooed on me! (Talk about commitment lol!)
@@hedvigkhaugen No problem! And that’s amazing! I would definitely get a Ghost quote tattooed as well, that’s such a good idea. Anyways, time to continue the binge 😂
It's so crazy to me that you haven't heard Sqwuare Hammer yet hahaha! It's such a staple song for Ghost, legit one of the most popular songs that even people who don't listen to Ghost might know (that was until Mary on a Cross blew up I guess).
Fantastic reaction video once again, Hedvig! As a (Swedish) rock/metal drummer/songwriter I appreciate your Ghost reactions so much. Your interest and insight is contagious! 😊 Ghost has during the last couple of years become my favorite band, and I’ve had a few favorites during my time. The way Tobias approaches his songwriting is so motivating and I absolutely love the vocal harmonies as well as the music. Your next video will be my favorite! “If You Have Ghosts” is an amazing amazing song. My Top 10 Ghost songs: 1. Ghuleh / Zombie Queen 2. If You Have Ghosts 3. Miasma 4. Elizabeth 5. Genesis 6. Con Clavi Con Dio 7. Cirice 8. Year Zero 9. Ritual 10. From The Pinnacle To The Pit
The woman singing background vocals is Fia Kempe. She's also from Linköping as Ghost is from the beginning. She has a band called The Great Discord. Drummer in that band is Aksel Holmgren, former member of Ghost🙂. Hälsningar från Linköping Sverige 🤘
Great reaction. Tobias is an amazing artist. You should check out the Square Hammer video. Its very cool, and fun. Every aspect of Ghost is extremely well thought out - songs, musicianship, production, stageshow, performance, merch, social media and videos.
I was looking forward to your reaction to this ♥It's awesome and I love how much you love and appreciate ghost! Also your singing is always so beautiful! :D
I've always taken a lot of Square Hammer's lyrics as nods to Tobias' supposed links to the Freemasons, with all the "Square"s, "Level"s and working with tools, and the whole intro verse about essentially making a vow or contract. Certified Crypt Classic
Genuine reaction queen, we love to see it!! Really enjoy your insights on the composition too. Very interested in your reaction to Here Comes the Sun. Would also highly recommend the It's a Sin and Avalanche covers that are are/were available as Prequelle bonus tracks.

I got so excited when I saw this upload….. I may have more to comment later 🖤 I didn’t get to watch this earlier cause I had dinner and stuff with my girlfriend
I'd love to suggest you an artist for future reactions - Hozier! The vibe is nothing like Ghost, but since you talked about listening to Aurora perhaps he's more similar to her. Tbh just like Ghost I can't really put him into a mould and compare him to other artists much. Ghost and Hozier are my absolute favourites (despite the differences), so I wondered if you know his stuff. Most have probably heard 'Take me to Church', but I feel like his other masterpieces get so overlooked. Hell, his voice is just gorgeous, his music and lyrics cleanse my soul (if we have one lol), every song gets me in a certain mood, transports me to whatever the song is about, and damn it inspires me so much. Even if it will not end up being your thing, but He's definitely worth checking out! There are lots of lyrics / topics to analyse and gorgeous vocals to admire!
@@gintarebaskeviciute5672 mayyyybe ;)) it’s been so long since I’ve listened to Hozier though, and I HAVE to do Melaine Martinez’s new album first! But I’ll definitely put it on the list!
For some reason a collective of Ghost fans think ignoring what Tobias said about Mary On A Cross is better than what he said the song is about. And he said it is NOT a sex song. Mind you, I'm not saying YOU are saying that. Because your suggestion it is more of a "love song" is more in line with what Tobias said. It's a song about friendship. And trying to "make it" with your friends. And losing them along the way. When you take that & apply it to the MAJORITY of lyrics, it makes much more sense. All the people he came up with trying to make it who he lost over time for various reasons, that experience is still very meaningful.
I know that you already talked about this in another of the videos, and I already made this recommendation, but I recommend again that you react to the covers of Ghost since, although the original songs you have heard, Ghost always gives them their personal touch and in some cases they are practically different songs and even change the meaning of the lyrics without changing any word (Here comes the sun)
Man I never saw this was posted! I'm happy you fell into love with Ghost like this. Fantastic band and still rising and getting better. Check out Subvision please. It's the band Tobias was in before Ghost and the 1 ep release they have is so entertaining as well. Different way but you can hear how Tobias got to the way Ghost is now for sure.
I find it very interesting that one of the last songs you heard on your Ghost journey so far is the very song that most people are _introduced_ to Ghost with, Square Hammer.
I have listened it hundred times, like respite on spitafields and darkness at the heart of my love too Can’t wait to see you react to zenith and the creepy version of here comes the sun haha
Hell yeah. Jealous of Impera vynil and super jealous you'll be seeing them live. I hope they come near my country in Europe (there's 0.1% chance they'll come to me) I swear I'm ready to pay trip over borders. Bible was an experience very similar to He is, worship vise but more wholesome haha
Ahhhh I hope you get to see them live!! Im very excited to, Im probably going to cry lmao. The vinyl is my fav thing ever, its so pretty! Thank you for watching!
Ah yes, I'll be your valentine, Hedvig. Swedish and Norwegian valentines :) Btw one of the best covers that Ghost has made in my opinion is Bible, which was originally made by the Swedish band "Imperiet". Happy Valentines. (wrote this comment before i watched the video). Tobias got his own Episode on Sptify "Sommar & Vinter i P1" i believe it's called. He talks about Ghost, His life, his childhood, you name it. He speaks Swedish though, but I'm sure you'll understand some if you wanna give it a listen :)
bible is about the threat of the nuclear warfare (spring turned into fall (falling of the warheads) rain falls over the land but no walls (the walls that separates us from everyone ig and human creations in general) and babylon is mentioned bc it was an old empire (really feels like impera) that fell and no one knows about it really anymore (which could just happen to mankind itself) anything else to add? I'm open for improvements
Seven Inches of Satanic Panic are two songs sorta set in the 1960s by the way. As far as I remember. I thought that was quite cool. The music video for Kiss The Go-Goat was pretty cool.
LOL yeah the hitting the Pope on the head thing is complete fiction, I don't know where that came from LOL. Basically, it's a song full of Freemason references. You have the best reactions. Unrelated, but every once in a while a musical theater sound sneaks into some of Ghost's songs. I bet Tobias could totally write a stage production if he wanted to.
I'm on the belief that Mary on a Cross is about Marijuana helping during touring, so the tickling internally line isn't entirely sexual under the surface.
HIIIII FYI this is the best way i could've spent V-day, thanks for being here with us 🫶 -gotta point out the outfit (as always) because i literally have the exact same sweater and it looks so cute on you, definitely your colors!! -girl, you are NEVER boring; even if you've heard the songs before you're still criminally entertaining -"God is real and his name is Zbigniew Bielak" SO TRUE, I HAAAAAVE TO MENTION THE PREQUELLE COVER CAUSE IT'S SO FUCKING SICK ARE YOU KIDDING ME? THE DETAILS?? I AM WEAK. IT'S THE BEST ALBUM COVER I HAVE EVER SEEN. AMEN. I LOVE THIS GUY AND I'M SO PROUD OF BEING POLISH FRFR -also impera's the only ghost vinyl i own too (although i have the hot pink one like the goth bimbo bitch i am) and the booklet is GODLY. i might've cried a bit when i first saw it. definitely their best one yet, GORGEOUS; -cheers and happy valentines to u too, hedvig 🩷 -kiss the go-goat really be hitting hard as a bitch with an absent father, cause i started over-sexualizing myself the SECOND i turned legal and it's SO SO dumb, cause the song is such a bop and i still cry to it smh, embarrassing -special shout-out to the "fools" in MOAC, my favorite moment of the entire song, thank you, next -NOCTURNAL ME IS SOUL-CRUSHING. HONESTLY. IT'S SO SLUTTY BUT IN SUCH AN ELEGANT WAY, I *LOVE* IT. DEFINITELY MY FAVORITE OFF OF MELIORA (DELUXE). I COULD TALK LONG HOURS ABOUT THIS SILLY COVER. ABSOLUTELY UNMATCHED. -33:05 copia was 100% a theatre kid and no, i won't elaborate -the instrumentals on i believe are ethereal actually, i will never move on -you might be surprised but the fandom hates, loathes and despises missionary man for some reason 😭 like i gotta be in the right mood to listen to it too, but it's a certified bop imo (THE "MONEY, MONEY, MONEY" REFERENCING ABBA I'M GOING INSANE I HAVE NEVER NOTICED IT OH MYYYY) -i am SO surprised (positively) about how much you like bible, most people say it's a skip, i wasn't that fond of it when i first heard it either, but it defo grew on me!! glad you appreciate it - as you should tbh -SO EXCITED FOR IF YOU HAVE GHOST AND THE DELUXE SONGS!! although i've noticed you didn't mention "Avalanche" (Prequelle) and "La Mantra Mori" (Infestissumam) so are we just skipping them? i do absolutely love avalanche and i feel the need to advocate for it lmao happy v-day yet again, lots of love xx
Omg I’m so bad at replying sorry!! I didn’t know those tracks existed, but I’ll definitely look into it!! If there are more that I’m missing, I’ll just have en excuse to make more of these videos;)) ALWAYS LOVE READING YOUR COMMENTS!❤️❤️❤️
@hedvighaugen NO WORRIES, GIRL, IT'S ALL FINE!! i'm pretty sure you're only missing those two i mentioned xx i mean they also did a cover for "the metallica blacklist" ("enter sandman" to be precise) and i think it's really good too but it's quite similar to the original so it's not like...THEIR their you know? copia also did a feat on emigrate's "i'm not afraid" but yet again i wouldn't necessarily call it a Ghost song; as usual have a lovely day 🫶
I call those people, who met ghost through Mary On A Cross - zoomers, it pisses me off that they listen, idolize and put only that song in tops and tiktoks, I personally met the band when I first heard Ritual from TH-cam recommendations and then album after album I listened to their songs, then even no Satanic Panic came out. Im sick of this people.
Come now don't gatekeep. Yeah it's annoying af, especially if they have a bad take on meaning. But event if like few people like this channel find interest to learn more about the bend and do a deep dive I'm glad. Ghost definitely deserves all the hype
Come on, dude, i know the tiktok kids are horrendously annoying, but Hedvig's a real one, she has so much respect for the band, definitely one of us!! Just let people enjoy stuff and put your energy into fighting people who ACTUALLY ruin the community.
I don't blame anyone here, just decided to write my thoughts here, i liked every album reaction video with ghost on this channel. "If you have ghosts, you have everything".
There are millions of songs and artists in the world. You can’t expect everyone to go through an entire entire discography after hearing one song they like. It’s just not realistic. It’s not how most people of any generation listen to music. I’m sure sure you, and everyone, has done it with hundreds, if not thousands of songs they hear throughout their lives. There’s probably big fans of bands you barely know the name to who would condemn you for only “liking” or knowing one song if you were to interacts with them. Everyone appreciates music in a different way- no need to get salty and gatekeeper just to feel superior. A good song is a good song.

I'd suggest you to listen to Zenith by Ghost, it's a song that is not featured in any album but it's one of the best in my opinion.
I'd imagine Seven Inches is a mouthful
IM DEAD
@@hedvigkhaugenbetter bring you back like Papa Nihil then
I discover ghost long time ago with their song « Bible » and since they are my most listened band ( with Pink Floyd haha )
Bible is legit the best song I have heard in ages
I have listened it hundred times, like respite on spitafields and darkness at the heart of my love too
Can’t wait to see you react to zenith and the creepy version of here comes the sun haha
Bible is my favorite song so far , i new you would love it. Even If its an cover. Loopings forward to se you do If yo7 have ghost….
Great video! Don't forget Avalanche and Enter Sandman for next time. Also prepare for Zenith to rock your fucking world
bible is about the threat of the nuclear warfare (spring turned into fall (falling of the warheads) rain falls over the land but no walls (the walls that separates us from everyone ig and human creations in general) and babylon is mentioned bc it was an old empire (really feels like impera) that fell and no one knows about it really anymore (which could just happen to mankind itself) anything else to add? I'm open for improvements
If you haven’t already. You should listen to their cover of Sympathy for the devil (it’s sadly not on Spotify
Seven Inches of Satanic Panic are two songs sorta set in the 1960s by the way. As far as I remember. I thought that was quite cool. The music video for Kiss The Go-Goat was pretty cool.
Oh yeah, there's also a song by Ghost called "Zenith"
You're still missing Zenith 😂😭
Next video ;)
@@hedvigkhaugen YES! Zenith and the If You Have Ghost ep please!
“Shut the actual front door” Hehe 😈👌
maybe someone already say this but you must react to all they official MV including the Square Hammer
I can recommend you to listen Enter Sandman and Avalanche from Ghost x) Love this covers:D
UPD: 49:50 Who gave him the right? Satan of course:)
I could be wrong
DONT MAKE ME CRY AGAIN??😭😭
You should react to a new band called motionless in white their songs are amazing
Beeing a Norwegian star like you are , you still havent reacted to the heaviest band in this Matrix..Messhuggah ..That is your rabbit hole =)
YIPPEEEEEE
I'm on the belief that Mary on a Cross is about Marijuana helping during touring, so the tickling internally line isn't entirely sexual under the surface.
The songs has so many layers, I feel like you can back up any argument with the lyrics!
No Avalanche in the next video? 🥺
Maaaaybbeee ;)
Bible is spiritual
HIIIII
FYI this is the best way i could've spent V-day, thanks for being here with us 🫶
-gotta point out the outfit (as always) because i literally have the exact same sweater and it looks so cute on you, definitely your colors!!
-girl, you are NEVER boring; even if you've heard the songs before you're still criminally entertaining
-"God is real and his name is Zbigniew Bielak" SO TRUE, I HAAAAAVE TO MENTION THE PREQUELLE COVER CAUSE IT'S SO FUCKING SICK ARE YOU KIDDING ME? THE DETAILS?? I AM WEAK. IT'S THE BEST ALBUM COVER I HAVE EVER SEEN. AMEN. I LOVE THIS GUY AND I'M SO PROUD OF BEING POLISH FRFR
-also impera's the only ghost vinyl i own too (although i have the hot pink one like the goth bimbo bitch i am) and the booklet is GODLY. i might've cried a bit when i first saw it. definitely their best one yet, GORGEOUS;
-cheers and happy valentines to u too, hedvig 🩷
-kiss the go-goat really be hitting hard as a bitch with an absent father, cause i started over-sexualizing myself the SECOND i turned legal and it's SO SO dumb, cause the song is such a bop and i still cry to it smh, embarrassing
-special shout-out to the "fools" in MOAC, my favorite moment of the entire song, thank you, next
-NOCTURNAL ME IS SOUL-CRUSHING. HONESTLY. IT'S SO SLUTTY BUT IN SUCH AN ELEGANT WAY, I *LOVE* IT. DEFINITELY MY FAVORITE OFF OF MELIORA (DELUXE). I COULD TALK LONG HOURS ABOUT THIS SILLY COVER. ABSOLUTELY UNMATCHED.
-33:05 copia was 100% a theatre kid and no, i won't elaborate
-the instrumentals on i believe are ethereal actually, i will never move on
-you might be surprised but the fandom hates, loathes and despises missionary man for some reason 😭 like i gotta be in the right mood to listen to it too, but it's a certified bop imo (THE "MONEY, MONEY, MONEY" REFERENCING ABBA I'M GOING INSANE I HAVE NEVER NOTICED IT OH MYYYY)
-i am SO surprised (positively) about how much you like bible, most people say it's a skip, i wasn't that fond of it when i first heard it either, but it defo grew on me!! glad you appreciate it - as you should tbh
-SO EXCITED FOR IF YOU HAVE GHOST AND THE DELUXE SONGS!! although i've noticed you didn't mention "Avalanche" (Prequelle) and "La Mantra Mori" (Infestissumam) so are we just skipping them? i do absolutely love avalanche and i feel the need to advocate for it lmao
happy v-day yet again, lots of love xx
Omg I’m so bad at replying sorry!! I didn’t know those tracks existed, but I’ll definitely look into it!! If there are more that I’m missing, I’ll just have en excuse to make more of these videos;)) ALWAYS LOVE READING YOUR COMMENTS!❤️❤️❤️
OMG COPIA BEING A THEATRE KID IS 100% CANON, THANK YOU YOUR HONOR
@@claireelyse5992 Did i called Mary - a bad song? You probably just didn't understand what I was talking about.
