First of all, I just need to mention that I got the biggest smile on my face when you said that you were imagining the whole album as a mass, because that is *exactly* what I do every time I listen to Meliora. And a lot of other albums, to be honest. Ghost have this ability to give you a religious experience without even being religious yourself. I love the imagery they put into your head, gah! But enough fangirling (for now). I wanted to say how happy I am as a new Ghost fan to see more people getting into them! I related a lot to your reactions (especially the Mummy Dust one-) and I liked to see someone be genuinely passionate about the band. I would love to see you react to more albums and hear your insight on them! I hope you've been enjoying your time here in our fandom ^^
Ahhhht thank you so much for your lovely comment!! This fandom is absolutely amazing! It’s been a while since I’ve found a fandom work this much love and passion! As for imagining the album as a mass, I tend to visualize a story every time I listen to albums (probably because im a theatre kid lol) and the way Tobias writes continues to impress me! I have already reacted to Prequelle, and I will definitely react to more!❤️
@@hedvigkhaugen I definitely do the same thing, with specific songs too. It's great when lyrics and sounds can transfer you into a completely different world in your mind, and Ghost definitely does that for me! I've checked out your reaction to Prequelle and I enjoyed it too! I loved hearing your songs analysis- and I think there's gonna be a lot of other stuff for you to go off of on future albums. I'm assuming you're doing Impera next? If so, buckle up and enjoy!
The REAL fun starts when you see live performances. Their aesthetic is just as essential as their sound for getting the full grasp of what Ghost is trying to do here. It's a full on theatrical production, just about. One thing though. On stage, or even just talking in the context of the band, he is not Tobias. He's Papa Emeritus. The veil stays on, it's important to the act. They're great. They draw in old school metalheads, fans of much more extreme subgenres of metal, and even casual listeners and a surprisingly massive female audience. Then again, Papa knows how to draw ladies into his flock. Lol

Welcome to the Ghost fan club lol. If you get to one of their shows (known as a Ritual) you'll have a blast I'm sure! Each of the albums has a different concept/theme and listening to the tracks is a must to understand the story being told through the songs. My favourite album is Prequelle (the one released after this) which has some absolute bangers of a song and an amazing instrumental with an unexpected instrument and which is amazing live. The theme for Prequelle is the Black Death so it tells the story of life during that time. Some people don't like the album and see it as more of a concept album (one of the songs is very upbeat and has it's own synthwave remix lol) but I think it's great. The new album (Impera) is amazing as well. The theme for that is the rise and fall of Empires. It's a very 80s rock sound and very accessible. There is 1 song which is very, very hit or miss though which I'm sure you'd guess instantly when you hear it! Aside from that, look up Papa's performance of Sympathy for the Devil on a Swedish TV show last year. It's an amazing cover of it and I wish it was recorded properly and on an album. Square Hammer is a must listen as well. It was the first Ghost song I heard and instantly made me fall in love with the band.
Tobias is an almost supernaturally good songwriter and craftsman. Makes you wonder if he made a deal at the crossroads...Loved to see your reaction, brought tears to my eyes to see your joy.

Ah, I'm a little bummed you didn't hear the bonus track "Zenith". At this point you could've just made the title go: "me fangirling over ghost for 54 minutes straight" or something lol. I'm happy you liked it as much as you did! I'd say my favorite album is either prequelle or infestissumam but honestly I love each album so much that I have a hard time choosing one over the other. I'd say prequelle is easier to get into. However, this opinion might be a bit controversial, 🤷so I think, any which way will work for you.
