    Looks like a mini Baja bug to me, I don't think that back end looks weird or goofy at all. Keep up the good work looks fun af so far.

    This is a legit scaled down Baja bug. Even the way the motor sits off the rear...

    Your videos are incredibly cool! I love the way you provide detailed insights into your work. It would be fantastic if you could not only share more tips and tricks, but also take us through the step-by-step process of how you accomplish different tasks, like bending and welding pipes. Your hands-on approach makes your content both informative and engaging!

    The rear end doesn't look ridiculous at all, looks amazing and tough!! 💪

    You might want to think about adding a roll bar to protect your head and neck, just in case you flip it. It looks super fun, so its definitely a possibility.

      Good call. No one has commented that yet. On every video. And Chris hasn't already addressed that. Awesome.

    • @libertyauto

      Man, I think about that throughout every video. I keep saying to myself, "ok, now he is going to talk about the head & neck roll bar plan".

    • @herbwhitmore4482

      That's enough of this safety talk , we don't need no stinking roll bar that protects our noggin 😅

    With almost 650000 subs you must have a pretty good nest egg for a bigger shop. Fill us in on your plans for the channel Chris. You have so many dedicated fans that would love to know what your plans are.

      I've always appreciated how he does it. Almost anyone can do this in a nice big shop with setup tables and other conveniences. I would like to see him not welding in a wood shed, though. Lol

      He literally has been making videos for year's explaining what his plans are .. This isn't grind hard plumbing this guy is alone building cool shit out of his head using what he has to do so that's the whole point of this channel.

      There have been a couple properties I have tried to buy over the years but for one reason or another things don’t work out and someone buys it before me. Also it doesn’t help that the price of homes has more than doubled in the last couple of years

      @@ratherBweldingChris I've said it on a different video, but if you do manage to find a property or at least build a bigger shed, I'm sure we'd all LOVE to watch you build it the way you want it. A nice workspace would be a huge improvement to your quality of life!

  • @stevebloke5455
    @stevebloke5455 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Looks great, i just hope you have plans to strip and clean out that engine before you start it. All that fiberglass and grinding dust will do a number on the internals. When mocking up engines it might pay to cover the intake/s with duct tape or alike to prevent crap getting in. I thought with the frame around the engine and the body off it looks like a micro trophy truck lol. great work Keep it up.... Cheers.

  • @EmmettStarcher
    @EmmettStarcher ปีที่แล้ว +9

    It actually looks pretty good! The lines complement each other well, and you needed the extra protection for the engine.

  • @bryduhbikeguy
    @bryduhbikeguy ปีที่แล้ว +4

    It's looking great.The engine cage looks solid,and anyone building a full size 'Baja' would build as solid as they could too. IF you built the front suspension to pivot from the Front,like VW's did,then you'd have pedal and foot room.Plus the shocks would be moved out a bit too. Just throwing it out for thoughts.

  • @mc538413
    @mc538413 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Use stingers for the exhaust. Much louder but won't have to run the oversized muffler. There is a Ton of aftermarket parts support for these old tripples.

  • @kissimmeediygarage7089
    @kissimmeediygarage7089 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    It’s looking great. Just keep in mind that the top side of the belt drive opens up when In use. I think you are going to have to cut more of the fiber glass body.

  • @tylerwatts1004

    I think the rear looks great and I like the tubing personally.
    Don't forget to cross brace the sides of the frame behind the body.

  • @dorightal4965
    @dorightal4965 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! I like it! As to the muffler problem, you may consider consulting with a 2 stroke engine builder. There may be options other than the "stock" muffler that came with the engine.

    Hey man. If you want less mess when cutting glass. Use a diamond grit blade on an oscillating saw (buz saw). Kicks up way less dust. Also. Don’t forget to leave room to get the belt off past the clutches/frame If you don’t you’ll regret it the first time a belt blows.

    It is looking amazing so far. Keep up,the amazing fabrication. One stupid question though. Is there any reason you could not cut the fibreglass body and extend it to cover up more of the engine portion? A little late I know but just a question.

    This Beatle got back, I ain't gonna lie it's got a big butt. I hope the rapper or YT doesn't come after me. for copyright infringement of that song LOL. with the challenges of using this body. it even makes me more impatient to see how this build is going to turn out? it's still an AWESOME build so far. I'm guessing you will probably have to add weight to the front of this build? there's a trick we used to do add to the stock cars. when I was a crew member for the two race teams I was with. we used to get old wheel weights from the tire shops, for balancing wheels. and we used take 4"x 4" square steel tubing and cap off one end. add melt down the lead and fill the tubing with molten lead. and let it harden, that way we could weld to the tubing to mount it securely in the race car's. some time's we would have to add up to 300 LBS to certain places in the car's? to get the weight displacement of the race car's right. as close to 50-50% as possible. otherwise the race car's just won't handle on the race track. that is an option you might be able to use on this project. I figured I would throw that out there for you?

  • @EngineeredToDesign
