But when doing these videos, I’m not looking at whether an outfit “fits” an idols body type. I’m looking at the outfit only. Nothing more, nothing less. But outfits are subjective. So it’s okay if you simply don’t like the outfit, just don’t be rude about it.

As a stylist their job is to make them look attractive to the public, that's what k pop is. joy is too tall and there's too much space in-between her top and her dress for it to look good. they should have made her crop lower or just not done it at all, it just doesn't work

And pleaaaase she is stunning in that outfit, stylists make iconic outfits and this is one of them (there are much uglier clothes worn by idols so don't come with the "it has to be flattering' no it has to fit the concept and to be comfortable enough for leaving space for dance). The outfit isn't even conventionally considered ugly, because once again if it was worn by an idol with an hourglass figure y'all would have praised the stylist eventhough it is freaking beautiful on Joy as well. It suits the elegant and fairy vibe she has and of Feel my rhythm era.

As much as the outfit os fun idea, it does disservice to her. In fact, there was small uproar amongst korean fanbase about how "Joy got so fat" after the saw her in that outfit which is actually an absurd because she didn't put any weight and looks as great as always. But that's literally unflattering outfit for you - makes you look worse. Korean stylist know the industry and as much it's trashy fans fault for being trashy, stylist should try to prevent doing such disservice to them and choose equally iconic, more flattering alternatives. Sure, there are some other terrible outfits in kpop history and guess what? They are, very likely, worst outfits in their respective eras.
