It was interesting to see it growing in so little soil and fallen leaves.
Will it grow even in fallen leaves?

Furthermore, this year, perhaps due to the abnormal weather or poor soil, the sweet potatoes grown using normal cultivation methods were infested with insects for the first time, and the leaves were torn to pieces, and the surface of the sweet potatoes that were harvested was chewed by scarab beetle larvae. The damage caused by insects was amazing, with the potatoes becoming lump-shaped due to damage from nematodes 😅
However, in our natural farming fields and bag cultivation, there was almost no insect damage, and the leaves were always beautiful.
There are almost no bite marks on the sweet potatoes.
Although it has grown too large and has cracks...
I thought it was an interesting result that such a difference was noticeable.
The difference seems to be that the naturally farmed sweet potatoes were not fertilized, so insects did not gather to absorb the extra nutrients.
I would like to try various things based on this next year, such as growing it in fallen leaves ♪
