I completely agree, Greg! Mindy had a way of connecting with the camera and her fans. Even before her troubles were noticeable (although I think they were always there) Nashville never gave her the support she deserved. After she recorded the album, "I'm Not So Tough", her struggles really became evident. It's very sad. She could have been a MAJOR Nashville star unlike what we see today. I don't know what the heck is going on with country music, but it's fading quickly.
Exactly and some radio stations refuse to give the older artists some airplay and keep playing the "Hickhop" artists but although one of my local radio stations in Ohio still plays Mindy and the other great artists
Mindy was a very beautiful soul both inside and out. We will never understand her personal struggle but know she had to be at her wits end to deal with it in the way she did. That day the world lost a very talented and beautiful human being. May her family parents children etc find peace knowing that she is no longer struggling and emotionally suffering. You will continue to be in my heart and prayers. RIP LOVELY MINDY. And know your amazing voice will always be heard in my home

In the late 90's I was listening to the pop station on FM radio they played a song called one in a million I thought she sounded amazing. I just wished her music was recognized more because she was a talented singer.

Her songs was my inspiration in everything I do. . . at home or on the road . . . when ever my Lovely Wife and I travel to different States and Canada. My Lovely Wife left this world too soon as well to cancer and I am missing her so much. My Lovely Wife and Mindy were always on my mind . . . and when loneliness began to take over, and I could not help it but cry. . . even when I am on the road.

I stopped listening to the radio after 2013 cause nearly most of the new stuff is nothing like the 60's-2013. I know and one of the greatest stories i remember when I was 16 and this was 3 years ahead of her passing. I had surgery and I was laying on the living room couch trying not think of the pain I was going through. I was had a whole week from school off. While my mom was doing some spring cleaning, she played a burnt cd she had since 1996 into my dad's boombox and I sit up and I was like"Hey mom what's you listening to while you clean?" My mom was like "I'm listening to Mindy McCready and i think you'll like her music" Anyway she tried to skip 4:of 10 songs and I was like "Hey don't skip those songs, Mindy's music is growing on to me" Anyway When i went back to school only 10 of how many friends i had didn't know who Mindy McCready was so when my spring dance came up, I requested Guys Do it all the Time but that's when I discovered that the dj played a dance mix. Another I wanna tell you is at a new years party in 2013, I actually sang one by her and someone else's song to honor memory. I think I sang "Ten Thousand Angels" or my all-time favorite toe tapping "The Other Side of this Kiss". The song I sang by someone else was "I Hope you Dance" by Lee Ann Womack. I dedicated those songs to her while singing karaoke was because I felt like the CMA's that year snubbed a tribute to her.

For some reason I bought it. Played it on the way home and really enjoyed it . Did not listen to her much after that for a few years but then decided to look her up again and the second time I was really hooked. I started listening to more and more songs. I Bought I’m still here during a sad period in my life . Just recently ordered all of her other cds and they are all very very good. It’s a shame she didn’t get the credit she deserved , she had a great voice and great songwriters

She had amazing songs like I'm Not So Tough, Thunder And Roses and I Dont Want You To Go and they picked this....???? This song ended her career pretty much. Still annoys me.
