@Baldcafe Cheers Harry, sure thing, I'll contact you once it arrives. Looking forward to the video drop! Appreciate all your work and dedication to the channel mate 👍
I'm 33. Have been doing clean razor shaves for the past 12 years. Stopped nicking the back of my head when I started using a very small amount of shave oil prior to lathering up my head. Game changer. My routine is: wet head, 2x pumps shave oil (King of Shaves), lather up with shave cream (Arko) then go for the razor (Gillette Sensitive XL). Moisturising twice daily for first 2 days post shave. Always leave at least 3 days between shaves. If go beyond 5 days buzz with clipper before shave.
Back to basics, nice. I've recently switched to a shave cream that you lather with a brush, in combination with my Leaf Thorn. Can't say I notice a huge difference in ease of shave compared to a non-lather cream (like Cremo), but it does make me enjoy the process a bit more. We'll see how long I keep it up!
For the razor, it’s actually better to use cold water and not warm water. Warm/hot water expands the metal and therefore takes sharpness of the razor away. Try it out. It will give you an even closer shave
Just when you are cleaning the blade off, use cold water. Use warm for your head when you are getting your head ready. But everything with the razor, just use a cold rinse.
My hubby and I have tried numerous different razors over the years and we always tend to go back to the Gillette Mach 3. To be honest, they’re all about the same, except for the Bic disposable which cuts me badly every time I use it. It’s OK for outlining the beard, but not for a full head shave. Agree that trying to razor shave with any ore than 2 days growth is difficult - part from anything else, it quickly clogs up the razor. An electric razor shave is OK if you’re happy with a tiny bit of stubble (equivalent to a day’s growth) but personally I like my head to feel super smooth.
I'm doing brave the shave on 12th October. And really like the idea of having this look. My hair is thinning at the front, so gonna give this ago. Great tutorial, thanks
After almost a year of trying different ways and means, I've settled on my routine. Shower, lather with cream and brush, 3 passes with safety razor (WTG, XTG, ATG), tidy up with 5 blade cart razor. Works like a dream, not a speck of blood. Harry have you tried the Amazon own brand 5 blade razor?
I highly recommend using hair conditioner to shave with if shaving gel doesn’t feel good for you. It works wonders for me and never get any soreness anymore.
@Baldcafe I use it too, just like you would shaving cream or gel. It doesn't clog the razor as easily and afterwards your skin feels like a baby's bum.
"... start in the middle, where the Hair is the thinnest. For us bald Guys anyway!"🤣😂🤣😂😅😅😅 This sentence makes my WEEK😂😅! I don't really shave my face cuz I've got a beard now, but I use the Skull Shaver Pitbull Gold Pro for my head shave every other day. I'd like to say something that I believe is incredibly important. When it comes to hair loss, everyone confuses massaging with exfoliating. They are not the same thing at all. You shouldn't exfoliate your skin more than once or twice a week. If you exfoliate every day you will irritate and harm your skin which will exacerbate the problem. Massaging on the other hand is something you can do every single day even multiple times a day. This is when you firmly place your hands on your head while simultaneously moving the skin to push blood around, especially on the sides to increase blood flow to the top. This may help you tremendously.
