i hate losing to control because you literally dont get to play the game. lol. had a match yesterday trying out a deck i threw together. this fucker had 4 copies of every fucking counter spell in the game. i only got one thing through and becoz purphoros ability brings whatever to the field without casting it they couldnt counter it(or maybe didnt have a counter was 4am) got drakuseth on the field and won but damn was i tilted that whole time. dude.

As much as I liked the deck and it's always nice to see you playing, I learn a lot, what I really loved was that Phoenix-Krenko interaction #nopantsgang will rule Ikoria
Try Lurris with orzhov auras. You can recast -/- enchantments that instantly kill what you put them on, and use kaya's ghostform and hateful eidolon for some good value.
I'm stoked to see you dabbling in some sideboard ideas lately. Though the core deck will likely change when playing Bo3, at least it gives us some good ideas.
I can't say I'm thrilled about the upcoming meta. But I guess il keep making stupid decks and die to some turn 4 combo of death or value train from hell.
Chaoslorden the acceptance of this in the community is baffling to me. It’s really not that insane to ban cards that just make standard non approachable
Was playing around with this card earlier. I just added it to my pre-existing UW flicker deck as a commander which is pretty nice if you have a couple omens and agents w/ Thassa on board. Didn’t think about the elemental package. That’s a nice spin, thanks for the list!
With Yorion and Charming Prince, there's SERIOUS jank to be had. Have seen a couple of insane stacks with these guys flickering each other back and forth.
I'm testing Yorion in a Bant Enchantment pod shell. It is very inconsistent, mainly because card draw is way too dependent on Setassan Champions, but boy is it powerful (and lots of fun!) when it works. As a side note: Yorion's interaction with Kiora Bests the Sea God is insane. I will definitely try Yorion sagas, it might be a good deck

Everyone not using Agent of Treachery is tired of Agent of Treachery. Hell, I wouldn't even using it because of how boring it is. It's always an instant win-con against most of the decks. It almost(almost), needs a ban.
At 40:36, could've attacked with Cavalier, and if he double blocks, get back Agent and blink with Thassa. Otherwise Thassa just blinks Cav anyway to untap it.
I was just noting that this companion barely got any love so far then saw this. Cool build. There’s a lot you could do with this card and I’m going to try it. Also, I’m a fellow control player who normally plays esper, which hasn’t gotten much support with Ikoria. Jeskai seems like the next good control pie. Your thoughts?

Pick a card/mechanic that you like and try to go wild with it. I love the new mutate mechanic and got 2 snapdex from packs, so I made a cat tribal deck that got even better when Zaheera showed up in the draft.
I built a yorion dance of the manse egg version in brawl.. it's only weak match up is a thassa deck that plays first. it's insane to blink out your whole board including dinky enchantments and artifacts... drawing and scrying from golden eggs etc. it's crazy
There's a guy at my LGS that swears by 75 card control decks (90 w/sideboard). I'd love to see what he thinks of Yorion but, social distancing is keeping us all at home. He'll probably be playing this on Arena asap. Not sure I'm on board with this one but the Companion mechanic seems legit. Maybe "too legit"..... 🎵!!
This latest release is not called Ikoria, it is called Agent of Treachery. I think it's time for wizards to step in and ban this card. It is far too easy to cast and everyone is abusing it.
This really didn't feel like an 80 cards deck, and Yorion is sure worth going the extra mile. I was sure the companion cards were gonna be played but as regular cards in the deck, I'm really surprised to see them being built around, and even more surprised to see them work so well. Totally unrelated, crafted a copy of Godzilla entirely on accident, got really angry, made brawl decks around it just so it would have some use, been enjoying it on my Rienne deck, can get crazy once you have the power multipliers stacking.
Heraklinos yeah true except you lose the 2/3 body that now requires further effort to bring back from the dead instead of just being able to spam blink effects. I see your point though, and I just think the concept of stealing any permanent should be avoided by WOTC...
I replaced the 4 omnaths with 4 kiora bests the sea god and the deck has been very fun to play and does decent in diamond in ranked for anyone who wants to give that a try as well.

You see this is what I am pissed off about with Magic right now. Every deck I run into is this simic crap with agent of treachery. I ran into no less than five of that deck in an hour. And then mono red. It has gotten to the point where I can reliably remove thier thassa thier Teferi, thier fey of wishes, thier anax thier embercleave and thier agent of treachery with unmoored ego turn 3 before they usually even manage to play anything. This new expansion didn't do anything to fix this crap, but instead it was like pouring gasoline on the flame.
New expansions never fix broken cards and interactions, even if they print blatant hate cards for them. They are always in specific colors and only work in so many decks. They would have to be good cards that also dump on those things you want to get rid of, likely locking other cards and interactions that did nothing wrong out of the game. Basically you would replace one load of toxic crap with the next. Only bans can fix the state of the game in such a situation. Only proper QA can prevent them. WotC refuse to do either.
Long hair is more important than you realize. The short hair trend was only for safety reasons as it was a serious weakness in battle. Back when only men were allowed to fight. It's still a safety concern depending on your occupation. See factory worker horror stories lol. Wouldn't dream of working with heavy machinery with long hair.
I'll never get used to Agent of Treachery. He should have been banned many months ago. The latest time they could have possibly justified waiting for was when Thassa came in. Ever since, they have been failing their player base (on top of all the other garbage that never should have existed). If they actually wait for rotation, I quit.
