I think cat mario is better because it had more nuance with its trolls. They were almost all unique and you never knew exactly what was gonna happen. This game mostly just had spikes and the ground falling, and so seemed just more grindy rather than fun to actually explore what was gonna happen.

When I love the Impossible Quiz series, which now has 6 games.
But, there are so many questions there that have an actual logic, that none of the players ever realise...

I'm pretty sure you could recreate this in SMBX. Although, the crappy physics are what makes half the trolls work, so it wouldn't be quite the same.
