    Mother of God! We work on a pair of vintage police cruisers made by Hot Wheels in the early 70's. I created my own decals and did amazing clear coat to bring these sweet rides back to looking nice. Jimmy is on the run.. (to be continued)

    What did you guys think of the shorter format? It makes it easier for me to put out more videos if they aren't as long. I want to reduce the amount of fast forwarding people do as well. Let me know your thoughts below. Have good evening Fam!

      I like both formats! But this seemed to be the perfect length of time. Keep it up and keep the Jimmy skits commin'!

      It seemed a bit too fast paced maybe. It was harder for me to get into it than the others. Or maybe I'm wrong!

    I hit the like just for the tune in Tokyo joke.
    The cars came out really nice, simple paint by your standards but they don't need more than that. The joke about the bedazzled cops and looking for Jimmy was hysterical.

    Two perfect examples of the last version of the 442 police cruiser. Excellent decal repros! BTW they never had black trunks or hoods.
    They were painted black enamel paint by a previous owner. Original version had a red gumball light and the sides were a sticker that had a badge and the word police on it.
    These cars looks way better now! Can't wait until you get a scale donut shop to park in front of. This IS a great format. Didn't like watching the paint drying part of your older vids,ha,ha.

    GREAT to see you back! If you like Bud Light, you'll enjoy Pabst Blue Ribbon beer. Tomarts hot wheels guide shows only white police cars with red and blue lights. I think I found a solution for wheels so you don't have to use brass tubes and glue. I was at Wal-mart today and found some 2mm crimp tubes. they may be the answer to securing the end when you use 2" head pins for the axle replacement.

    I like this because there is precedent. The California Highway Patrol had the 1967 Olds B07 Apprehender for one year. Now, the B07 is not the 442, but it’s a slick ride. This was shweet per usual, I hope you do one with CHiPpy decals. That would be awesome.

    Just catching this now. Love your work! I'm sure you know but the car with the metal base is the first run police cruiser from 1973. Someone painted it black. It was originally all white with paper POLICE decals. In 1974 they lost the door lines and changed the decal to the black and yellow one. Only 73 and 74 have metal bases, red lights and opening hoods. They were switched to plastic and the dome incorporated into the windshield and made blue. Sorry if this is old news.

    The car with the metal base was one of the first Olds 442 police cruisers that came out after the original 1971 Spectraflame Olds 442. These are redlines and never had black trunks or hoods, that is someone's artwork, lol. They were all white enamel. What also gives this away as the first generation Olds 442 cruiser is the separate red cherry on top and the opening hood. Notice the glass also has a greenish tint. Many of these have been converted to clones of the Spectraflame original release. There were a couple different metal bases on the first generation olds police cruisers, and the early ones had stickers on the doors before they transitioned to tampos. Later releases had plastic bases and blackwalls, just like the ones driven by officer Grady! 😆

    • @adambeckett8394
      @adambeckett8394 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I might be totally wrong, but I had a look at the online redline guide, and it shows it under 1969 as a Police Cruiser. It was apparently used again in 1970 as the Fire Chief's car. It seems to have had a few paint scheme variations, some of which look like they might be quite rare.

    • @DT99race
      @DT99race 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@adambeckett8394 The 1969 police cruiser was based on the Plymouth Fury, not the Olds 442. The version I'm referring to was the Olds 442 police cruiser, which came out after the original Spectraflame Olds 442 casting released in 1971, not 1970 (my bad, was going off memory, lol). I've corrected my original post, thanks!
