The one thing about the calculations for Ichigo is that, we learn that he has been actively supressed for 3/4 of the entire series, making the majority of calculations meaningless for determining how strong or fast ichigo is currently.

YWCH or whatever his name was pretty much omnipotent and almost omniscient (he sort of ate God). That was who Ichigo fought several times. To ultimately beat him, Ichigo needed some help from two people who can manipulate history and create illusions and it was still close.
Yeah and that’s because ywch literally could transcend time and break ichigos bankai because even as he said it was so powerful that he needed to stop it before it was used on him.
It literally took Aizen, one of the most broken characters in all of anime (and another character Death Battle SERIOUSLY fucked up calculations on), to be a DISTRACTION long enough for two other characters to create a literal split-second window where Yhwach was even ABLE to be killed. And even then, he almost managed to reincarnate several years later, but Ichigo's kid is already so OP he ACCIDENTALLY stopped it. So it effectively took THREE Deus Ex Machinas to bring him down for good.
Naruto started off as a ninja anime where stealth, speed, and technique were key to winning. Eventually they went total Dragon Ball Z and now it's all about power ups and raw strength. They even made Naruto an alien, just like Goku.

Neither side was properly calculated, I still think that ichigo would win at the point that Naruto is at, but I guess that is subject to change since he still has more potential to grow.
They even admitted a few viseos later that they basically had to make up some stuff, as they didn't have to ability to accurately calculate some of the feats.
@@rainofkhandaq6678 ok but even if this is true they stacked all of ichigo's modes by 10x each which 1. they are definitely not all 10x boosts and 2. he can't stack. They never calculated Naruto's power in his modes only his base mode chakra. Let alone his moded chakra stacked with other modes. He can also absorb all the nature energy in the area. They made stuff up for both sides but you can't ignore the feats. A lot of stuff in bleach (which I do really like I am not just fanboying Naruto) is not realistic. Ofcourse since it's a fiction show and all but what I mean is in Naruto powers usually have a basis that is easy to understand. Kurohitsugi if it really was a black hole would have the power to easily destroy the planet which Aizen does not have. Lots of things in bleach make no sense and you can not give them a basis in real world science. Naruto is simply more powerful and more durable than Ichigo and this wasn't even Baryon mode Naruto which absolutely violated an enemy that destroyed Naruto and Sasuke who is relative to Naruto in their previous most powerful forms with ease.

@@Petrol_Sniffa you know in bleach most attacks aren`t made to cover a lot of area? most fights are 1 vs 1 between guys who breaks blackholes with bare-fucking-hands thats why calculations are irrelevant (if you want proof ulqiorra who is weaker than aizen made bigger explosion) and most damage and protection comes from reishi concetrating in bleach characters weapon and clothes/skin due to that even without looking super mighty they are wayyyyyyy stronger than they are like think about this yama bankai what is sun temperature sword with all its heat restrained by yama himself is still dangerous enought to destroy fucking planet with only being here not attacking but just existing and ywach killed him in one hit and after ywach become even stronger ichigo still had a power that make him dangerous for ywach a guy with time space bending powers who could make every possible future become present (im not shitting here its how ywach breaks ichigo sword in the manga) and with raw reiatsu strong enought to destroy 3 dimensions (and just becous i see many people misguided about this no it wasn`t happening due to lack of soulking or people being killed by quincies for that to happen it would take milions of souls being destroyed by quincies and take few years to destabilize universe reason why they were worried now was because if they don`t stop they now there is no one to stop them later and it might be too late then) by reiatsu equivalent of muscle flexing

The kiss that happened between Naruto and Sasuke was pure accident... A hilarious one at that. See, they were glaring at each other, and then, someone knocked Naruto forward by mistake. You can figure out the rest from that I'm sure.

This battle actually got polemic they even asked seththeprogrammer to debunk where other said for him to not debunk, and he just gave his tought and didn't really said who would win, since apparently he is doing his own version of this fight, for me I'm pretty neutral, both naruto and ichigo were above what they put they in, but i don't know if this would change anything at all, maybe not, I'm sure there's people who have a more solid answer for this fight than i have
My answer is that Ichigo wins without even using Bankai and Hollowfication, the calcs they used are very iffy, even though Ichigo has less AP(that's without trying to amp him with Bankai since we have no feats for his Bankai), he gradually surpasses Naruto in speed.
Naruto has a good chance, since he's versatile with his abilities.
I'd say it's 60/40 in Ichigo's side, that's without databooks for both.

Seththeprogrammer shouldn't be asked to debunk any death battle video at all, his answers are always wrong he tries to prove that his debunks are right but they are always wrong, he only says whats right about the ones he supports, especially goku. Don't stick to his idealogies about heroes etc, do your own research. And i bet death battle's research info's are more accurate than his

VERY much so. Ywach was going to destroy the Garganta surrounding both the SS and the world of the living, with his pure spiritual pressure.
For context, in the canon movie, Senna detonated all the power she had from the blanks in order to prevent the SS and WOTL from crashing into each other.
Those are both universes given that Soul King split the original Universe into one of life and one of death. Senna detonated a blast strong enough to push two universes back into place, and it did ZERO damage to the Garganta.
Meanwhile, Ywach with the Soul King absorbed was about to destroy the entire Garganta. And Ichigo managed to hurt him on several occasions.

The thing why they explained SOOO much on the ending is probably because both shows are from the big three and very very controversial
The Big Three are Dragon Ball, Naruto, and One Piece. Back before it ended, Bleach was a part of the same group and it was more like the Big Four.
@@MoostachedSaiyanPrince Dragonball wasn't even running when they were the big 3. So... no. Dragonball stopped making new chapters in 1996, and super didn't start up until 2015. Bleach manga ran from 2006 to 2016 and Naruto ran from 2000 to 2014, if you don't account for Boruto.
They were heavily inspired by Dragonball though, admitted by the authors themselves.

Because yes, Dragon Ball ended for a long time and Super only started up relatively recently, but it's presence and influence was still everywhere at the time even if the series had "stopped". Also, everyone I've talked to about "The Big Three" was referring to the biggest manga/anime franchises in both the literal size of the series as well as widespread renown and appeal. These franchises are Dragon Ball, One Piece, and Naruto/Boruto. Bleach was a part of that back in the day because at it's peak, it was HUGE, but it steadily declined in popularity until people stopped comparing it to the rest of them and it fell by the wayside, even though it still has a lot of diehard fans.

Ah yes, the Madara vs Aizen. Death Battle, CBR, and the like are not to be trusted in general
Madara vs Aizen was probably their worst example. They lowballed Aizen so hard, it should've been one of the easiest wins ever for him if they'd gotten it correct. He was sealed away specifically because NOTHING in the Bleach universe could kill him. The series also strongly hints he was just getting MORE powerful as he was locked away, as he'd already started unsealing himself not long after his defeat. It's also hinted, though not conclusively shown that the omniscient, damn near omnipotent Yhwach couldn't do it when they met the first time.
- You'd probably like Naruto's dad Minato given your love for fast characters. Guy was nicknamed the Yellow Flash
- Naruto also has a reverse version of the Sexy Jutsu. It may sound ridiculous but it manage to distract one of the strongest characters in the series for a sucker punch. I mean if you were fighting someone and they turned into a naked girl or guy, you'd probably taken off guard.
- Something I have to disagree is Naruto being dumb. Sure he wasn't smart at the start at the start and was naïve but in the later half of the series he certainly improved. He mastered techniques that took over years or out right failed and figured out the weakness of opponents by himself when no one else could.

what's weird (for me) is that Naruto's reverse sexy harem jutsu, a jutsu where he turns into a bunch of naked guys, is a jutsu that Naruto has trained in secret longer than any other jutsu that Naruto knows. which makes me question his sexuality...then again, gay people in the past irl have been married to women. :)
naruto is never gonna be an intellectual powerhouse but he isnt dumb and his book smarts have nothing to do with fighting ability. he has consistently shown that he can hang with the greats like sasuke, itachi and madara in terms of tactics on the battle field.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE TRACK!
The song used is "Shonen Showdown" composed by Brandon Yates. The name references to how both Naruto and Ichigo are from Shonen Jump, and are 2/3 of the "Holy Shonen Trinity"
It is a fast-paced rock track, with hints of shakuhachi featured in the background. While both elements are found in both series, the rock aspect leans more to Bleach, while the shakuhachi leans more to Naruto (as emphasized in the later part of the fight)

And then Oda answered a question from Horikoshi! And then Oda even celebrated the launch of My Hero in 2014 when he was asked in his regular reader Q&A about his connections with other manga authors, even citing Horikoshi’s old art of Captain Smoker! WHAT a lad, both of them!
Regarding Ichigo and Naruto's names, yes, they are named after foods. Naruto is named after a topping that's often found in ramen (which is his favorite food). Ichigo's name has two meanings, one that's the actual definition and one that's been given to him by his parents. The actual definition of his name is "strawberry," but the one he sticks with is "number one" (ichi) "guardian" (go)

Honestly, there was a lot of stretches in logic that was involved in deciding the winner. The strongest enemy naruto fought was an alien, while ichigo fought freaking godlike beings, it's like comparing crushing an ant to breaking a human bone. Entirely different feats.

that's like saying that because a soldier is welsh he can't be as strong.
But that alien was pretty much seen as a god and as strong as one would assume a non-omnipotent god would be. That's like calling Goku "just an alien" when he without a doubt could beat both Naruto and Ichigo in a millionth of a blink of an eye in base form

I swear I'll never get tired of watching him be in utter awe at these characters.
It's just SO MUCH POWER
The whole manga/anime protag constantly evolving trope is because since the series keeps going with the protags getting stronger, enemies need to keep being stronger to give a challenge and interesting story. Sadly, many times the manga writer has to perform ‘the ass pull’ when they’ve have written themselves into a corner. If an enemy is so overpowered to the point of even questioning if defeat is even possible then the protag gets a random, out of nowhere, power boost that has little to no explanation. This can also lead to something like Ichigo loosing his powers or a change in protagonists such as Naruto to Boruto since they pretty much peaked in their power so how can they even have a challenge with a BS enemy.
Yeah, the power creep in some shonen media can reach levels that is just frankly absurd.

The manga makes money so now it HAS to continue.
Android 17, 18, 19, 20 AND cell, all as basically the bad guys, don't exist because they were all planned. It's because the writer was asked to get a "real vilain" on multiple occasions instead of just the androids.

Oh and he totally downplayed ichigo's destructive power, late series ichigo could level city blocks with normal swings

Naruto's planet is much bigger than earth, spiritual pressure didn't do much help since Naruto characters always live in a high pressure atmosphere of planet, and to counter flash step naruto has body flicker technique (also a virtual teleportation), both sides are heavily downplayed kid naruto had stop giant snake calc to be Multi city block level
By the way, someone made an argument that Ichigo is around 5 times the speed of light (they actually say closer to 10, but they doubled it due to some false assumptions they made). So Ichigo might be 5 times the speed of light. Also, Ichigo's Vasto Lorde bezerker form causes multiple "nuclear" explosions to go off that are so powerful they affect other realities, while in another example of him flexing, literally holds and contains another "nuclear" explosion in his fist. Basically, a nuke went off in his hand, and he kept the blast from escaping by closing his fist around it (that is some grip), and it did no damage to him (in some ways, he basically crushed a nuclear explosion with his grip). By the way, they are rebooting/continuing the bleach anime where it left off, going to cover the Thousand Year Blood War Arc which is where YWBCH is from.

Normally True Bankai Ichigo would've been enough to deal with Six Path Naruto Kurama Avatar, if we concider that his Getsuga killed the god. (Yes, than Yhwach rewrited his death but he still did). The only way I see Naruto winning this is by sealing Ichigo by Shukaku's ability or by Reapers Death Seal (Although Ichigo is a reaper himself). Ichigo survived the freaking hole in his chest the size of a volleyball, beated the crap out of Ulquiorra and regenerated it as if his heart and lungs are nothing while the same Ulquiorra couldn't regenerate any of his inner organs even being the Espada with the strogest regeneration factor.

Edit: a month later and i still agree even after rewatching it. Knowing them they probably just pulled a dio vs alucard and didnt show anything for ichigo.
Bleach is a very, very, very hard series to use in vs debates by the nature of its powerscaling, you can see for yourself how much they struggle to come up with Ichigo's numbers in the video. But having never watched Naruto, I still agree with the outcome, even if their calcs here are very messy on both sides.

Fun fact: Naruto’s dad (the fourth hokage) was so deadly, entire armies were given orders to flee on sight if he showed up. This is because his teleportation technique is way more than just teleporting. By basically putting a seal on someone, he can hear everything they say and hear and monitor everything they do.
In short, not only could he teleport, he could mark you, hear EVERYTHING you’re planning, then teleport into your house and kill you in your sleep. And by the way, he’s considered one of the weaker hokage. The first and third were each literally called the God of Ninja

Ichigo should have won.. Bleach characters are far more stronger than Naruto's.. like why in the freak Ichigo's final form in this fight the final getsugatensho? Juha literally said ichigo in TYBW is stronger than that form.
They need to put the final getsugatensho somewhere, at least it looks dope. But if he were to use final getsugatensho after true bankai, wouldn't he be 8D since aizen is 4D, dangai is 5D mugetsu was 6D. True bankai is probably 7D right

Well, I mean, the sole Quincy that the show followed from the start did use German for all Quincy terminology. There was no way that you didn't see it coming. Besides, you know it was because of the uniforms.

@argusvoidstar4177 Those are the only two exceptions oddly. I can understand Ishida naming his own bow, something Japanese, but the Quincy speed movement is a weird inconsistency.
This was a terrible, horrible DB to have your attention distracted by other things. Your ability to actively listen while commentating is already not the best, so the added distractions… yikes. Yeah, these two characters (and their respective franchises) are both incredibly complicated. Needlessly, at times.
I personally agree with the outcome, though I know it’s a hotly debated one. Like I say in my Death Battle reaction videos, there’s a lot more “interpretation” involved in these things than there is hard science, so I don’t tend to get very flustered either way.
You asked about why there’s a trend for lots of transformations in Japanese media, and that has to do with two things mainly: the culture, which likens battles not just as a clash in physical ability but in ideology as well (therefore as your ideology and your resolve evolves or gets stronger, you become a stronger version of yourself, ergo transformation), aaaand the inescapable influence of Dragon Ball.
Both Naruto and Bleach are highly HIGHLY influenced by Buddhist and Shinto imagery, lore, and mythology. A lot of people like to call Naruto “ninja Jesus” but it’s really more accurate to say that he’s ninja Buddha. Really, almost everything in these two franchises has some sort of link to those religions and their iconography. I’ll also say that both Bleach and Naruto created really unique and cool power systems that I think are more robust and impressive than the stories themselves.
Ichigo should have won
Honestly I was more hopeful that Ichigo would win and yeah about the episodes, I’ve just read the manga for Bleach and haven’t seen all that much of Naruto.
On an unrelated note for Desthbattoe, it seems just a loud everyone missed something for the Hellsing Abridged. Not much, but a small minute and a half trailer/prequel to Episode 4.

Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, and DBZ are the big anime’s. These shonens are the REALLY big ones. And you see a lot of stuff in MHA from these. They are very influential…and they often go a bit too long in show size. Which can be to the detriment of the show. And I’ll say no more to avoid stepping on toes. I can only scale DBZ properly.

Neither character’s power was properly assessed. Ichigo seems to get a greater nerf in my opinion. Ex. When they say that ulquiorra could destroy hueco mundo. This was a great downplay. Releasing his first, of two, resurrection (form) would destroy hueco mundo. Through the arrancar arc, resurrections are often implied to be a similar power increase to bankai releases. Ichigo with his hollow mask fought against the first resurrection on the defensive. I think ichigo would win, until they include boryon mode for naruto which has recently come to existence.
Yeah Adult Naruto has crazy feats
As a fan of both series I can say that this is probably the outcome that should have happened. Naruto has so many more offensive options than Ichigo does - like, back in 2004 or whatever, Ichigo definitely would have won, all Naruto had were shadow clones and the base rasengan, and Kurama making him go berserk. But Naruto's upward trajectory got absolutely _nuts_ in the second half of shippuden - and if they're including his stuff from Boruto? No contest, sad as I am that my boy Ichigo lost.

The moral of the story of Naruto is how hard work can overcome anything and you don't have to be born into greatness. Philosophy held by the main character that is ninja Jesus with a hundred different inherited bloodline techniques and Clifford the big red infinite energy source. Ironically Might Guy and Rock Lee are the only two characters that follow the moral of the series and do the most badass shit but either get sidelined hard or lose last minute so the main character could get the win with bullshit no jiutsu. Oh yeah and a lot of villains that did awful things get to go free with no repercussions and even hang out with the grandkids of all the people they hard murdered. The series has a weird way of preaching war crime forgiveness as well as its skewed morals.
Can't say Bleach is much better. As it basically kept itself going by reusing its formula over and over again so much that the anime just flat out quit and I think the manga was threatened with being canceled. But at least Bleach has Yoruichi. Naruto doesn't have a Yoruichi.

Second, it's not really about culture more that it's just a common thing in major shonen anime, especially Shonen Jump series'. And third, as to WHY it's big, you can thank Dragon Ball Z for that by introducing Super Saiyan, forever popularizing the idea of transformations that make the protagonist even more of a badass.

The DeathBattle video might not be the best way for you to get all the info in bite sized chunks. It goes by way too fast is probably geared towards people who are familiar with either one or both of the series. I’d personally suggest looking at the Wikipedia articles for both series. That way you can become somewhat familiar with them even if you don’t end up watching them or reading the manga’s.

These characters are actually quite relative (despite the lowballs and highballs from both fandoms)... For me Naruto wins just because he's more haxxed out and skilled.

As a fan of both series… naruto does win… but they give the wrong reasons for some things. Their speed calcs are also a ways off.
This episode just reminded me of the day I Naruto ran to the bus. I don't know what's weirder, the fact that I did it or the fact people cheered. As for the win, I don't agree with the way it happens but I do agree Naruto would win. By the time of the current arc, using the final getsuga would be an unnecessary risk so the fight would be much closer
