Hello Mike and Melissa. Was very nice meeting you two in Boonville. I am one of the retired guys you mentioned about being busier now than when I was working. Thanks for the mention of being the one building the benches and selling them. Wife and I were on vacation in Maine when we watched that video and got all excited when you mentioned me! Really cool, thanks.
I just have to say that I have been watching your channel now for almost two years. I am one of those guys that is always looking for something to do on the side. "I like when Mike says that he is a jack of all trades and master of none". That is me to a "T". I have done plumbing, electrical, welding, equipment operator, mechanic, auto body, painter, so on, and so on.... Now you have inspired me to start a firewood business, and it is awesome!!! I can't believe how this is coming together. I am 59 years old now and last year I couldn't believe that I was thinking about starting a business at this age. But I kept watching your channel and I have now started a business. I am like you were when you first started "A weekend warrior" but it it coming around and who knows how far it will go. Thank you Mike, Mellissa and family for the inspiration. Love what you do....
Enjoyable video of the reasons why you had such a good time at the show, I have worked a few tents in my time and always found them invigorating and educational, meeting people that used our products or were interested in the latest technology that wood meet their needs, will always remember them as the good times. I thought of your Boonesville video quite a bit after viewing it and was struck by the photos the big smiles, the happiness of getting a photo with Mike & Melissa Morgan at the Stihl & Woodmiser displays it was a tribute of the admiration people feel when meeting someone they admire and finding out they are the real deal great video!!👍👍👍👍👍
We have more in common than most will ever imagine. Seems to be my experience. Some of the common things we have are Mike and are are the same age. My girl (Terri) and Melissa are the same age. I hunt, Fish, DIY, constantly have projects and after 15 months of waiting I am picking up my Wood Mizer LT35HD this Friday. It is my exit plan from Corporate America and will work at it until I can step away. We are all about the outdoors and basically live outside if the sun is up. Keep up the great content.
good morning Morgans, we lived in Tucson, AZ and have now moved to northern New Mexico where I'm from. Bought some land in the mountains and are building a barndominium. Didn't want to be in the city anymore. Thank you!
I went to the Bunyan Show jsut because you were there. I met and talked with you both. Mike was a little distracted, thinking about the bundler machine. Melissa was herself. I hafta say, her smile didn't cause any permanent damage to my eyeballs!! Everybody that met her while I was there was totally charmed. Talked to Levi a little. Good day. ...Speaking of, haven't seen Ty in a while, or Archie. Love seeing those little rascals! I'm sure you'll have a good time at the Bunyan Show. Thousands of the nicest people in the world go there!!
I’ll come back in after a day of thinking about this. You are correct - we are not alone. The woodsman show is a good example of a place to go to find people who are grounded in things that matter. We discovered the same at an event at an airport in fall 2018. (There was a big plane that stopped by, hint, hint.) going through the normal routine, you get bombarded with, well, stuff, and it’s hard to recognize that other people are doing the same things you are, trying to reconcile that stuff with what you know is underneath all the noise. It is liberating when you find how many others are walking your same path.
Hey guys- you have tons of friends right around central and eastern Ontario. We meet up with friends and all us guys talk about is your channel. What we like about you guys is - You are real people with no agenda to harm or BS anyone. That Is why we subscribed and watch every episode. Keep up the great work!! Have a good one!!!
I agree lots from Ontario. There is a farm based show in Dufferin County coming up in 2023. The International Plowing Match. Many vendors that you use and others Kubota, Wallenstein is local, may be of interest. About 2 hours north from Buffalo in rural area of Ontario. I can try and find out more if you are interested.
Mike- you are so right about retirement...I'm just about 3 months into it and I work from dawn to dusk...and love it! Firewood, field mowing, road building, land clearing and I have the time to donate to friends and neighbors. Never been happier, more relaxed or at peace! Keep on digging!!!
I retired at 44, 3 years ago. Most people say, "you are gonna havta work you are too young to retire" or "you are gonna be bored". It just shocks me to hear people say this. Maybe they are just jealous they have to work, I dont know but I have done a 180 on how I used to be. Im so relaxed now and enjoy everyday, no more rush rush, thats not how we are supposed to live. So congrats to you my friend! Enjoy I'm sure you have also earned it!
Hey Mike and Melissa, great recap of Booneville and your new OLD truck, all was awesome and a good time was had by all. Thanks for sharing with us, had to watch it 2 times before I could reply but it was well worth it. We have trouble with out internet. Stay safe and keep up the good work, we appreciate your videos. Fred.
I am enjoying catching up on some of you recent videos..and yes Booneville Woodsman Weekend is a great time. As for the side by side riding, in that area there are many big riding trails and events , than here where I am, so is more law enforcement keeping the peace there on " Tug Hill " . I live two hours or less North of Booneville , and around here there lot of SxS's here. The politicians in Albany that dictate recreation laws in NY will not change thir ideas that the bigger machines are bad for environment here . We can't register any wheeler that weighs over one thousand pounds . We have a Rzr 570 , weights 989 lbs, is insured and registered . Lot of families are buying the double row seating SxS's , so can take the kids. It's a great way for families to do something together ! We love the woods around here and for the most part everyone respects the land , trails, and the land owners. One of the big reasons I like your videos is your love and respect for the woods and property ! Now, on to find another of your videos 👍👍🤣🤣
Mike and Melissa can’t wait to meet you folks somewhere. Kudos to your comments of the rural country life. All electric would be very tough. Keep up the videos. It’s nice to see a fellow western PA couple/ family living life to its fullest! Thanks
Likeminded people? That’s exactly why I subscribe to your content, you guys are the good ones. The ones who will save this nation dragging it back to a new and wonderful place. Thank you!
I.had a 69 Ford F250. Farm truck. One time dad and I had it loaded level yo the top of the cab with fire wood, down in the woods. The truck would start but if you gave it gas, it stalled out. It would start right back up. Found a fuel filter canister on the mechanical fuel filter, that the bottom of it had rusted out and it was spraying gas like a shower head. I found a tall babyfood jar under the seat. Filled it with gas, and sat in the engine compartment with the hood open, feeding gas into the carb as needed while dad drove us home about 1/2 mile through the woods. Glad that truck didn't backfire.
It's called the conservative life. Give of your self, share knowledge, trade ideas, treat others as you wish they treated you. It's a the happy life! To know you can help others in many way's.
Mike , I just love watching your channel, enjoy watching the changes in the property, the family and the neighbors and all the content you bring to me each and every day. The new ford plow truck is going to be a big help this winter. I call it THE BLUE TOOTH.
Mike & Melissa, it was great to meet you in Booneville. We have a lot in common and there were so many things I wanted to say to you but I wanted to be fair to others who wanted to meet you as well. We are going to sell our NY homestead and relocate to WV when I retire and set up homestead #2 and I want to do things like have a saw mill and keep cutting wood along with our farm animals. Like I mentioned to you at the show I have learned so much from you about skid loader operation just by watching you work. Keep up the great videos I love them.
Steve, Just to be fair, Mike makes running a skid loader, the trackhoe and other heavy equipment look realllllllly easy, but doing so and well is a learned, acquired talent. It takes some serious time and daily practice to get good.
its funny you mention the bench. I assume you mean the shooting bench but maybe you don't(I vaguely remember more recently a normal picnic bench perhaps) anyhow, The shooting bench video was my first intro to OWTM. glad you had a good trip and made it back safely.
You are definitely wright a lot a peaple enjoy the outdoor like you guys, we have a 105 acres land up here in Quebec Canada, with a LX 2610, Kx040 and just having fun and pure pleasure making a property as we like it. 👍
Like your place, the other PNW is pretty lush as well in the Summer, the air smells different on either side of the Cascade range and the Olympic Peninsula has more of a rural feel leaving the city scene behind with just a ferryboat ride. There is so much varied types of beautiful landscape in between, our country is truly blessed 🙏 Enjoy your journey folks.😊👍
I really like your videos. Thank you for playing The Ghosts Of Liberty and putting the name at the bottom! I had never heard of them before! They are absolutely awesome! I had to look them up and down load their songs! Keep doin what you’re doin!!
Wow, that opening sequence was fantastic. Not a lot of people know how many camera shots, and how many takes, that must have took. You really have quite a production there. And we are not alone, we are all in this together. Thanks
Hey Mike and Melissa it was really nice to hear you reference us in your video. We have much in common and enjoyed talking with you both. With our son purchasing that land close to you maybe we can cross paths again. You're good people
Listen we may not know you personally but we have been part of your family for a long time now. So refreshing to watch something we enjoy and that is real. Far and above what networks try and feed everyone. Keep up the good work. Keep showing Hunter. His smile is contagious!
Over the years watching your channel, I have marveled how many things we have in common. The latest example, the shot of the little mini truck, on the freeway on the trailer. You said you like these, Me too! I want one........ anyway, love you guys.........Lord willing, I'll be at Bunyan....
Well being in NC I probably will never meet y’all but I feel like I know you all because I watch you everyday. If I don’t see a new video out,I’ll watch a old one or Watch again. Thanks Mike and Melissa!
Howdy from Texas - totally agree most have no concept of rural life and the requirement of our equipment and vehicles. We couldn’t get out of the state on one charge and who has the time to wait on an 8-10 hour recharge………. Love the new highboy addition wish I still had my ‘68 with the 3 on the tree. Enjoy the videos. Y’all keep it up - God bless you and yours.
Glad you had a safe trip and home safe and sound. Melissa you would make a great saleswoman. A lot of nice pictures with your TH-cam followers. I like what you did with the video. Stay safe.
I'm glad you and Melissa had a great time. Someday I would love to meet you guys I know watching your videos have made my life a lot brighter you two are the sweetest people I know 💗.
Hi Mike and Melissa. I can relate to what y’all were talking about on this video. Pennsylvania is a lot different from Upstate SC, but I know when Mike says jag, he’s talking about a slew. I would love for you to come to Upstate SC, Greenville, Spartanburg, and Anderson. I’m 56 and I can relate to Mike, we have many of the same interests. I worked most of my adult life in commercial refrigeration. I worked out of town for weeks at a time, just being home on the weekends or every other weekend. I’ve had friends over the years from Ohio and upstate NY and they were more country than I am, no lie. Keep on it, y’all are 100 times better to watch than anything else out there. Thanks.
Hello Folks, born and raised in the center of the Adirondack mountains in a small logging town of tupper Lake,N.Y.. Started my working years in the lumbering industry. I then followed My dream into the long haul trucking business with My wife by My side. we found all across this country people are all doing the same thing of making their way through life. The town used to host the woodsmen field days from in the 50s up until a few years before covid. Then it was shared with Boonville. New York state has built The Wild Center. Which is mostly displays of the adirondack eco systems. The local museum a lot local history of the logging industry. It also would be a long drive but well worth the drive! The logging industry is all but dead there now.
Like the Hi-Boy. I bought a 71 Ford Sports Custom. Single guy then bought differnt tires and wheels. Not a lot of customizing items back then. Lost my tail on it when I had to sell it when the draft notice hit. Sold all my toys. 37 Chevy and my Foard flat head engine. Enjoy the ride.
Good afternoon from Upstate South Carolina. Love that song. What a BA looking Blueford too. I'm busier now that I'm retired as well. Have a productive day. Myrtle Beach Jeep Jam.
Enjoy you two so very much. So glad that you made your trip safely and came home full of enthusiasm. Hope to me ya'll some day just to tell you "Thanks". God bless.
Hey Mike I watch your ch all the time I liv in new York city and work have a place up in beach lake pa it country go up there I just cut the grass wake up 6:00 in the morning have a cup coffee sit on the porch relax and listen to the birds
What fun hearing about your keen trip to NY! Thanks for sharing. Now, we have a VERY popular Elvis Presley Festival here in Tupelo, MS (his birthplace) and folks come from all over the world (I should tell the story about Chuck Berry, who was emphatic that he would drive their bus, but he almost ran that bus into the Elvis Presley Birthplace house. What a riot!). So.... If WoodMizer (and similar vendors) announce that they're gonna exhibit at the Elvis Festival, maybe we could also have an "Outdoors with the Morgans" vendor area, as well. Yep, that'd be the ticket right there! Y'all come!
hi there maybe will meet at the PB show . i have a meet and greet at space 100 . come sign the saw . the wood hounds are having a live stream at the fairmont motel friday night , love to have both of you to show up . Dan at back 40 firewood is doing it , anyway be nice to meet you after all these years . best to all john
Love your show I gotta say I've been a floor layer for 32 years I drive a 100 miles each way to work Right now I'm running the new Kansas City airport Hard work does pay off
Found your channel 3 or 4 months ago. The best! Just sold my super 40 hydraulic Woodmizer sawmill. I’ve had 2 back surgeries and the twisting and bending to use the hyd. controls was too much. Live in the Idaho pan handle but came from Oregon. A great logging show is the Oregon Logging Conferance in Eugene in Feb. Lots of great things besides the logging. Saw my first Woodmizer in 84 or 85. If that might interest you can get you add info if you like. Again, your channel is great!
To upgrade the infrastructure to handle it would take billions of dollars to keep us from having blackouts all the time. Not enough capacity in the power plants or wiring. Really love your channel.
It’s amazing how small the world is. I’ve been following you for about 2 years now and being from a small town in Perth, Ontario Canada and seeing my friend Jeremy from Eastonmade in your video was pretty cool. I know Andrew quite well also, great guy. Eastonmade’s shop is one street over from the company I work for. I believe Cord King was also at the show and my brother in law works for them. You’re absolutely right, similar interests really bring people from afar together 👍
Mike, Melissa you guys are awesome. Your family is great, you both raised them well. Today, that's a huge compliment. Seems anymore its always somebody's fault when their kids gets in to mischievous behavior. That's because we were raised in the 60's. You got onto mischief, there were gonna be consequences. I can honestly say, I never got a whipping I didn't deserve, and I had the best parents ever. Guess what I'm saying is theres still a lot of good people in our country. I just wish more folks were willing to work for what they get. Nothing in life is free.
Like minded down here in Texas as well. Never miss a video. Outdoors with the Morgans need their own Big Tent for Paul Bunion Show. Orange and Brown with your hat logo, TH-cam channel address and the Bigfoot!!!! Take care. Love the channel
Mike and family , I truly enjoy watching your adventures , you are a talented group , I love those storage buildings you showed , they would make a great starting place , good luck and God Bless
Although I will not be able to meet you all as I am on disability and can't travel, it feels like I am meeting you through your video's. You are down to earth good people and that's why I enjoy the video's.
Hey Mike & Melissa, if you guys are planning next year's show visits, I can recommend the Royal Welsh Show! you seem very used to long journeys so I am sure the 3.5k miles should be cool. 😃 My wife and I have been watching from the UK for a number of years now, the content of your videos is right up our street. Cheers, Rhys & Michelle.
I love the American entrepreneur. When there is a natural disaster the next day there are 75 guys out there trying to figure out how to turn it into a profit. I’ve lived other places in the world and didn’t always see that. God bless America!
My wife and I live in west central Michigan on 13 acres and we are into the same life style a s you guys and love your video. Thank you for what you do👍
Watched last night and was side tracked to comment. Thanks for being open and humble and for all your efforts. I am sure everyone will agree we all appreciate you and Melissa and the whole family for all the hard work you put in so we can enjoy the videos. I often think how difficult the behind scene logistics must be to create some of the content you put out. Please hang in and keep up the great work.
Nope, you are not alone. I've been outside most of the last couple months getting back at the firewood, and the screened porch I've been building (last of the siding should be on by the weekend....I hope). Almost done with my brother's 2nd pew-pew cabinet (made from solid rough sawn Walnut), and just general day to day stuff. Your new/old truck reminds me slightly of my first decent car.....no power steering, bias-ply tires, and had AC added on that hung below the dash. I installed an am-fm radio and a couple stereo speakers in the back window space behind the seats. That area has a name, but I can't remember it. Even more so, I had a '76 Bronco with a 302 and 3 on the tree that was a total rattle trap. Added a 4bbl carb (with an intake manifold to match), headers and exhaust, and big mudder tires and wagon wheels. It was cold as all get out in the winter with all the leaks, and we had little ones, so it had to go. Anyway, love to all the Morgans from northern Michigan.
Mike and Melissa, I met you at the show in Minneapolis last winter, I vowed I would never go to downtown Minneapolis ever again because of all the crime, ( I only live an hour south of the twin cities) but I made an exception. Lol. And I agree, I think I am busier now that I’m retired than when was working.
Mike you should get an Academy Award for the way you tip toed around the electric vehicle. You are 100% correct, some people don't have a clue, and they all live and work in Washington D.C.
Totally agree about the electric vehicles. Most have no clue how ungreen it is to produce them and if you're hauling anything the range drastically drops.
You gave me a flashback today...When you were in the pickup, I saw that the paint was all off on the inside door panel. When I was a kid, we would go to Texas to visit my dads family. They were all farmers, and money was not plentiful (no AC either). My dads cousin had a Ford pickup, and the paint was all off the inside of the door panel...that was ~50 years ago.🙂
Had already written the Bunyan show off for this year because of the high gas prices. But they are down to $3.19 here, and now I'm reconsidering. Need to get a little fixing up done on the pickup and a camper shell on the back for sleeping in. May just talk myself into going after all. I really enjoyed it last year, and my love for driving makes it even that much more tempting. Who knows, might see you there again this year.
How bout a pair of CB antennas on top of those mirrors and a gun rack in the back window. Long time ago we borrowed one of those early Ford pick ‘em ups…straight six, three on the tree. The wife loved it.
I absolutely think it's great you guys showcased Upstate NY. Definitely we are not alone, so many of us like that up here. That statement sums up exactly the issue, they don't know how the majority of people live. Heck even folks who live in the urban areas, they rent apartments and flats...they can't just install solar on rooves or charging stations, let alone afford it. On Quads vs UTV's: a lot of the trails originally used to be snowmobile trails, and dirt bikes in summers. ATV's caught on as good trail machines because they could fit. The side by sides honestly have a hard time on some the narrow trails in the woods, over stone walls, etc. But they are becoming more popular. I can get on and off my quad skidding logs in the woods easier, than I could in and out of a UTV. THose smaller log arches are great behind ATV's. I had no idea there was a law, but in New York State there are laws against everything! Again thanks for the great videos.
Watching your channel from Northern Ireland. A bit envious of your lifestyle. Couldn’t agree more about being busier in retirement. Keep the videos coming, much appreciated

@@unclebo1966 yes I agree. My limited skills have improved by watching and paying attention to Mike's techniques.
I’m now obsessed with the song and can’t figure out how more folks don’t know about them. Thanks Mike!
Loved The Video!
Nice To Hear About The Show For Us That Can't Make It!! Thank You For Doing What You Do!
Keep Smiling On!!
😀👍👊
its funny you mention the bench. I assume you mean the shooting bench but maybe you don't(I vaguely remember more recently a normal picnic bench perhaps) anyhow, The shooting bench video was my first intro to OWTM. glad you had a good trip and made it back safely.
That is a good song.
Play it anytime!
👍
You are definitely wright a lot a peaple enjoy the outdoor like you guys, we have a 105 acres land up here in Quebec Canada, with a LX 2610, Kx040 and just having fun and pure pleasure making a property as we like it. 👍
Great video Thank for the video.
You're good people
I’ve been waiting on some truck drive footage! Great to see the interior, the shifting, and the real-world driving. What a classic truck. Great find!
I got one, a four door one.
Just refreshing to see a great American family doing it the right way. God bless
Well being in NC I probably will never meet y’all but I feel like I know you all because I watch you everyday. If I don’t see a new video out,I’ll watch a old one or Watch again. Thanks Mike and Melissa!
Long live the small business entrepreneurs!Good stuff! Nice spin in the truck. It you see a baby blue 64 Ford truck around the area its probably me.
Love the old truck. Would make a great rolling ad for your channel.
Good evening , God bless yo all & thank you for sharing . Have a wonderful & blessed evening
Thanks.
Mike that corner is called Washinton State. Glad you enjoyed your busy week.
We got caught up in the parade traffic and missed you at the Woodmiser booth. Next time. Glad you liked the show.
I can't speak for everyone but here in Maryville TN you definitely have a friend in me. Love the videos
🍩🍩🍩
Pnw native here. There is a lot of small town stuff up here. I would absolutely love to meet you guys if you ever come this for west.
Enjoy you two so very much. So glad that you made your trip safely and came home full of enthusiasm. Hope to me ya'll some day just to tell you "Thanks". God bless.
Can’t wait to meet you guys in Minnesota.
Hi Mike and Melissa, I have always been impressed with the way you support small businesses, I’m sure you make a big difference to them.
Oh the sound of a old truck eight cylinder motor and the click when a four speed transmission shifts into gear... the memories
I liked when you got in New truck and turned on the AC before cranking!!! That was real truck riding!!! Stay hydrated and Have a Safe Day
love that old Ford truck as I am old and miss those days...God bless.PS==bet the org. owner is happy you have it now.
Loved the video... ty for sharing.. Prayer all the children are doing well.. love and prayers from SE Texas Bear
Top notch camera work on that road trip in the truck. Really makes you feel like your ridin shotgun. Keep up the good shows.
Thanks Lorne
Grumblin n Rumblin in the big ol' Ford with a stick goes great with the hard hitting twang of a country guitar. Like apple pie and ice cream 😋
Brings me back to when I was a kid . That shot of the wing glass !! Wow
There’s that dang song again, I watched the intro 5x’s to hear it over and over. Lol
I love the sound of the high boy, that deep throated rev. Pure music!
Although I will not be able to meet you all as I am on disability and can't travel, it feels like I am meeting you through your video's. You are down to earth good people and that's why I enjoy the video's.
Love that song Mike my brother hi Melissa dear
Hey Mike & Melissa, if you guys are planning next year's show visits, I can recommend the Royal Welsh Show! you seem very used to long journeys so I am sure the 3.5k miles should be cool. 😃 My wife and I have been watching from the UK for a number of years now, the content of your videos is right up our street. Cheers, Rhys & Michelle.
Love your example everyone does the roll threw
I like the way you rolled that stop sign... Lol
Thank you for what you do👍
Cool beans 😎
Good afternoon everyone 😊
😊👍

Electric vehicles are not the problem and neither are internal combustion. The problem is politics.
That intro driving to that song put a smile on my face! Thanks for the awesome content; hoping to meet the Morgan’s one day!
Really like watching your channel. So sorry we missed you at Boonville, NY hope you come visit upstate NY again.
How bout a pair of CB antennas on top of those mirrors and a gun rack in the back window. Long time ago we borrowed one of those early Ford pick ‘em ups…straight six, three on the tree. The wife loved it.
It’s got yore AM, it’s got yore FM, it’s got yore Easy Rider Rifle Rack with room for not one, not two but three of yore favorite rifles!
Absolutely fantastic!
Thanks for the video, always enjoy watching!
NICE VIDEO FOOTAGE OF THE BLUFORD DRIVE! OUT OF THE PARK MIKE!
PIE TOWN LARRY
Love the manual AC; Wing window and hand crank on the door...
Beautiful drive Mike...a beast!
Love that old high boy truck.
Glad you like the Boonville show.we look forward to going each year. Maybe meet again. Keep up the good work and videos
Watching your channel from Northern Ireland. A bit envious of your lifestyle. Couldn’t agree more about being busier in retirement. Keep the videos coming, much appreciated
