Sadly, it is our ignorance and cowardice that allow us to be enslaved by our dominating leaders. Our freedom will be found in wisdom and courage. We need to feed our ignorance so that it becomes wisdom and starve our cowardice, our fears so that we become courageous. Because bullies will not dominate the wise and the courageous. They won't even try, knowing they will fail.
This speech bough tears to my eyes. It is what is happening in our world today. we need to unite and get back to what is important that is life and freedom. but most of all we need know that there is a GOD. he is angry at the way we are treating one another. he is angry that the world has lost it way to greed and senseless crimes. we need to find it our heart to be kind, and help those in need.

Charlie Chaplin wrote this and he was an atheist. This fairly sums up a humanist position , though there is a socialist aspect to it also. To bad the conservative religious right wing here in America would label this as just left wing propaganda and dismiss it. As they have spent long years demonizing both humanism/atheism and socialism .

I preach tolerance and reconciliation between left and right in my life, I won't stop being friends with those around me over politics but listen with an open mind and acceptance of their views
