On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.

F22 with F-15 as missile trucks. Can DCS simulate this? F22 up front with Eagles behind (out of range). I'd be cool to see TALDs used in a dogfight :-)

I love the Raptor but the Eagle is the OG. Can't wait for some F-15 against an entire airforce content. The arsenal it carries is ridiculous.
Actually in an exercise, the F22 killed the F15 41-1.

ALL of them.
For the F-15EX, I would just start lobbing missiles just before getting into range. Three for each volley.

Probably what Russia/China means when they say they can see stealth. Doesn't mean they can shoot at it, but they probably can see it.

Also shows the F-15 didn't know what it was doing. Two AWACS and a patriot site.... It had every advantage but wasted it all by over extending and getting too aggressive
That was more of a command folly. The Nighthawk flew the same path every mission. Bombed the same targets too. Made it easier for the Serbians to figure out when the plane would come by and when it would have it's doors open and stealth compromised. What good is low observability if your enemy already knows where you are.
Taking out both AWACS before killing him was mad disrespectful 😂

I look at it a different way. The EX had shown it was too much of a threat with it, so it was actually a show of respect lol
Strategically it would have been a huge win even if lost to the F-15. AWACS are super-high value assets.
It was probably necessary given the jamming those things are capable of. The f22 would have to get even closer to the f15
@@theghostgeneral na it wasn’t TOO MUCH of a threat. It was just more of a threat than the Raptor is used to….a slight indignation if you will. The fact is no other aircraft (MAYBE F-35) would have gotten to those AWACS.
The maneuverability of the EX is insane from a 50 year old platform. That Dubai air show was sick AF!
Well, it IS an amped up version of the F-15C. But with the added ability to carry a ton of missiles.
The EX is to the F-15C what the SuperHornet is to the Hornet.
Better Engines
Better Radar
Better AoA
Better Rate Fight
Better Maneuverability
Better Payload
Better RCS
It's just a juiced up F-15C and that's a terrifying prospect considering how good the C was.
And it's carry 16 missiles while doing those maneuvers, just incredible.

It s agile with FBW but not with 16 AMRAAMs.
To be fair physics don’t change, not in 50 years, not in a 1000 either. CFD tech was already in use in the times of the F15’s design.
Now do reverse roles and fly the F15EX against the F22. Awesome video as always. 👍🏼

@@rbrtck My understanding is that they use Weapons pods for the F22, so they are "Stealthy" pods with stealth coatings and special shapes... but even still it reduces the stealth a LOT.

The F-35 is superior on levels that count in modern warfare - Stealth, Network, DAS situational awareness.
Current wargames give the F-35 a win ratio of 7 to 1 over current F-16C, F-15C & E.
The RAAF, RAF and other nations confirming the same result's over super hornets, Eurofighters etc..

Since the F-15EX can maintain lock with its onboard radar but the AIM-120 cant, what would happen if the F-15EX were to use FOX-1’s along with AIM-120?

I'd say it's all 95% F-14 and F-22 videos. The 15 especially has been really neglected.

Imagine 2 EXs one firing while the other defends. No opportunity to turn hot and having to constantly defend. I think this is how the USAF will employ these missile trucks. Would be interesting to see multiple eastern low observables with hypersonics vs multiple F-15 EXs.

I’m new to watching these videos kinda, so I don’t know how true to life they are but this is why I trust the F-15 against some of these other countries weak and fifth gen fighters, that radar it has is unreal
Man, the EX with AIM260s is gonna be a nightmare (for the other guy).
Unless the other is a F-35 or F-22 or is equipped with the Meteor..
Hi GS, I think it’d be interesting to see this fight again but giving the F15EX access to AIM-260’s. If that seems too tough then maybe the F22 could use the Peregrine missile.

I wonder if it's true that a couple of 15's or 18's with the Irts21 at long range can spot, track , and give a targeting solution against stealth based on riangulation. 28 amrrams combined against 6 could be a real challenge.
Spot with some luck but no weapon solution.
It's difficult beating an enemy that is carrying 72 missiles.
Situstional awarness is decisive. Not a lot of arms.

Doesnt matter. Its RCS is still huge. The F-15 is the definition of anti stealth.

I dont think it is modelled properly. Sadly the same thing about the ships. If you launch anti-ship missiles, ships should also jam + launching decoys.

Seems to be a misconception amongst the airheads that the EX is a revamp of the Strike Eagle. But that's far from the truth.

Its not the same platform it was 50 years ago. The 15EX much better than the 15A, or C, or E. It also had two AWACs and its own new awesome APG 82 radar to triangulate the Raptors general location.

LOL The RCS for the F-15 is about the same as for an A-380.

The F-15EX has an improved RCS from even that.
@@ObiWanShinobi917 No, the Super Hornet is around 0.1 square meters. The legacy F-15C is in average around 11 square meters. Surely the EX had some "have glass" type improvement in that field but I don't know any detail. I would be surprised if the RCS was reduced under 3/5 square meters. RAM materials alone can't do miracles and square angles are impossible to correct
