- "Happy Together" is a song by American rock band the Turtles from their third studio album Happy Together (1967). The song was written by Garry Bonner and Alan Gordon, arranged by Chip Douglas, and produced by Joe Wissert.
Released as a single in February 1967, the song knocked the Beatles' "Penny Lane" out of the number one slot on the US Billboard Hot 100 and remained atop the chart for three weeks.[4] It was the group's only chart-topper in the United States. "Happy Together" also reached number 12 on the UK Singles Chart in April 1967 and number 2 on the Canadian Top Singles chart in Canada. - wikipedia

I'm a 70 year old guy hearing the music of my youth played by kids young enough to be my grandchildren and LOVING IT! You guys are great! It is wonderful to see this music appreciated by a new generation.

This is getting out of control. Every REO Brothers song I listen to - I am stunned at the brilliance. So wonderfully done - so EASY to listen to. Their exceptional talent, the beautiful way they work together, the diversity of music they play flawlessly, the visible joy they show playing music, and the reverence for the original artists - beyond amazing.
Another proof that autotune is not needed, just pure talent and dedication is needed.

I'm so glad they did "Happy Together" - a great an memorable song from "The Turtles". Again, another amazing performance by "REO Brothers". When I was 10 I remember traveling from Ann Arbor, Michigan to Alma College with my brother in '67 on his way back from a break and this song was playing all of the time. I loved the song, and this brings back gooood memories!

These guys are incendiary! This genre of music came at a time of incredible turmoil in our country. The Turtles, Spanky and our Gang, Gary Puckett, The Rascals, The Hollies ..... they were refreshing sounds during very somber times.

I read that there are 9 siblings in their family and ALL of them can both sing and play various musical instruments!! And none of them had any formal musical training. A personal fave! Great job! Two of the guys (including the "Happy Together" lead singer) from The Turtles joined Frank Zappa's Mothers of Invention in the early 70s -- Mark Volman and Howard Kaylan. That era of The Mothers was FANTASTIC.
