not quite thats creating a duplicate. Alt D is creating object instance. I think this add on allows for a collection of objects to be instanced altogether so you dont have to combine all the object to one before instancing.

I have seen multiple "retopology" add-ons that just replicate the magnet function that's already in Blender.
Do you have add-ons recommendations (Free or Paid) for easing the animation process in blender?
3d print toolbox is pretty old, but the others are cool!
must be an update, because i found it on the extensions platform which is pretty new
