Loved the dog fetching the rocks. Years ago I was down the south coast of NSW with a friend and their dog. I threw a rock into a creek and we then watched the dog for the next 15 minutes dive into the water, pick up a rock and bring it to the shore, then deciding it was not the right rock, dive back into the water to fetch another one.
What a contrast Oz is - from the arid deserts of the Centre to the monsoon which greeted you at Bowen. It's a shame the rain can't be shared out more evenly! The intensity of the rain really contrasted with the lovely views from Rotary Lookout. It was nice to catch a glimpse of Airlie Beach again, after an absence of several years. I take it the nets near the beach are to keep out the Box Jellyfish ? Also lovely to see Whitehaven Beach again, looking as lovely as ever - interesting about the silicon sand. You got some gorgeous footage there, rays and fish in shallow water and such clarity. Lost for words ! The pies looked very tempting but it was noticeable you didn't let Archie have any - poor boy! All in all another highly entertaining episode - especially the numerous 'out-takes' which appeared after the end. Were they a 'bonus?'
Hi Dad! Yes we only had Archie swimming safety within the stinger nets! Not sure if jellyfish can get past the fur but he doesn’t have much fur underneath so don’t want to take any risks! Hopefully we can all get back there on a family holiday soon xxxx
Happy New Year! 🥳🥂 Beautiful footage and scenery as usual! I'm surprised a local didn't explain the pronunciation of Eungella. We always pronounced it Eun-gella when we first lived there, Mackay locals quickly let us know it was pronounced Young-galla. 😂 Not sure if it's still the same now tho 🤷🏼♀️
Hey guys. Yes - the local pronunciation was told to us later that day but we’d already done the filming by then 😂 Being from Yorkshire, I’m used to pronouncing words differently to the locals anyway so no biggie!! 😜 xx
Thanks for a great episode. I was wondering with all the torrential rain you copped did you get any water ingress in the back of the Ranger, through the roller shutter? We have just got the same model and I was curios about how water tight it is.
Happy New Year and safe travels. Can I ask how you go travelling with your dog? Do you have many issues with places to go and see and people looking after him when you go to national /state parks? Thanks for your great videos - keep them coming please:)
Hi Debra! Haven’t had any issues travelling with Archie, obviously we can’t go into National Parks with him, but have almost always found someone to look after him while we explore the NPs! Just takes a little more planning before we get to a place where we need a dog sitter and is obviously a little more expensive travelling with a dog! Thanks for watching! 👍

Happy New Year!! Absolutely!!! Sailing Whitsundays is one of the best things you can do in sunny Queensland, stunning place! 🍻
Haha nice bloopers guys! Sheesh, that episode was killing me! What was the name of that caravan park?
Haha yea they were a laugh, so threw them in!! We stayed at Island Gateway Airlie Beach, then at a small place called Neem Hall in Finch Hatton!! 👍

@@StaycationOz I thought that was a Yorkshire accent, I'm from the other side of the Pennines 😁

Thanks for watching! The roller shutter isn't completely watertight, water does get in, but not much at all so things rarely got wet inside!
