Revenue Canada never calls you, they always send written notices. Anyone calling is nearly always a scam. The guy has an accent and clearly Not Canadian.

Anyhow, my son said I am on the 13th floor and I have to run down to my car then come up again. The guy said I will hold. More than a hour passes and he was still waiting on the phone. We had fun with this guy but CRA has no sense of humour.

That's not right...they do call you...and that's why I had trouble the first time these scammers called. I blame everybody involved here, including the CRA and the RCMP who have done nothing except issue stupid 'warnings".
They call me literally every week. Every time they call I pick up and before they have a chance to say anything I just say "can I have your agent number?" or "before you say anything I'm recording this call as well in case I need it in court after I'm arrested" and they hang up right away every single time.
I got a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft and that they had noticed my computer was running slow and that if I signed in to their website they could help me and I gave them the run around while starting a trace. LOL, they were a little shocked when I mentioned that they were calling me from Pakistan. They hung up REAL quick when I mentioned sending the local military police to their address and read it off to them, lol. I love having the right career!

This guy sounds like one of those customer service people at the bank. Can't trust anyone over the phone. I had to deal with incompetent customer support from a bank and now I don't want to give any information over the phone because you never know who is behind the phone call and what they are doing with your info. It's unfortunate that there is not a better way to bank, everything takes days to process and you need to talk to someone to deal with complex issues.
And even when you talk to someone in person at the counter and directly state what you want done, it isn't necessarily done. I discovered a few years back that though I had directly stated I wanted my account converted to another form, per THEIR suggestion, it was not done. I had pointed it out many times, only to be told its description on-line was a glitch. Well, it wasn't. And when I questioned this, the clerk said: 'They must have misunderstood you.' I said: 'It was YOUR suggestion that I do it. I did not initiate it.'
When I get one of these windows/duct people call, I answer with: 'How may I help you?' And when one called allegedly from customer service, at 7:45 AM, I said: 'Just so you know, it is industry standard to never call before 9 AM. If you're going to pretend, do your research.'
You deserve a medal.. Well done. I got one of those calls a couple of years ago. I googled the number that I had to call and found that they are scammers.. This was in Australia.. Well done. Cheers

Nearly all of these scammers call from outside the country and believe everyone i n idiot.
