What brand did you buy? Note that LED may flicker when it's first switched on and the flickering should stop few seconds after or after it gets a little warm
@@trackpalmer I bought the SEALIGHT brand. I think since my 2019 high beam and DRL use the same bulb that's why. I contacted them and they said they will send me an anti flicker resistor. I dont want anything that will void my warranty so might return them.
to see how well the LED bulb lights the road in front of the vehicle, compared to the stock halogen bulb, you need to go to a completely dark area with no wall, and show side by side comparison. Do your LED bulbs blind oncoming drivers? Thank you
Great video thanks for sharing, do you get any heat issue from the drivers of the LEDs, like do they cause any issue with any of the vehicle parts inside the engine bay?
I do not have any heat issue. This particular design prevents overheating. Notice that the ballast is separate from the LED and the LED has a cooking fan. I tested it by touch after hours of driving and it's always cool. Furthermore, LED runs cooler than regular halogen bulbs. Hope that helps. Subscribe 👍
It does fit. Sometimes sellers do not list all compatible models. The important think to note the the type of bulbs that work with your vehicle. H11 and 9005. I used H11 for my fog light because they are brighter than fog lights. Let me know of it works out
@@BongRith68 it's the same for 2015. The low beam and fog light are the same. They have the same connector which is h11. The high beam has a different connector and that is 9005

Trying to figure out whether or not these lights would fit on my 2018 highlander. Amazon says it don’t fit but I see you have used them. Can you please help me with this?
I installed led low beam headlight bulb in my 2018 highlander and it creates some problem like fist thing i notice transmission down shifting problem. when it downshift it downshift in 3rd gear.. it hard to explain this. engine rpm stay higher. going 60 mph engine rpm with halogen bulbs stay at 1500. with led bulb installed going 60 mph rpm stay at 2000. why ? is led bulb messing up ECU ECM PCM ?
@@ashishpatel1685 I don't have to. If you did your ECU would have been reset and the ECU would have adjustment based on the how the vehicle is running. The LED is just a list that used 12 volts. It doesn't send signals to the ECU to make adjustments. The worse case scenario is it blowing a fuse. You can reinstall your old bulbs and see the problem is still there for a couple days.
@@trackpalmer I did reinstall halogen h11 bulb and there is no more problem. it drives normal. engine rpm stays 1500 at 60 mph. and downshifting problem that i had its gone after installing halogen bulb. what could be the problem ?
Yes it does. You can confirm your bulb type in your vehicle.. If they are H11 for low and 9005 for high... These will fit.. Also note that I also used H11 for the fog light because they are brighter then fog LED
I watched your video showing the installation of the fog light in a Highlander. I removed the three screws from the plastic cover as my hands and arms are larger and it is the first time I have tried to change the fog light bulbs. One thing I had a little trouble with was removing the plug from the old halogen as I could only get one hand in there and I wasn’t sure how the connection release worked. I also forgot for a few minutes about the hard plastic tabs on the foglight housing that make it impossible to put the bulb in ( or remove for that matter ) while the wiring harness is connected. I used an H16 foglight LED and the light is a definite improvement over the 5 year old OEM halogen bulb. I will check in your description for 5he H11 for the lowbeam as I have tried 3 different LED H11 bulbs that wouldn’t fit or allow the dust cap to be put back on. I didn’t notice if you put the dust caps back on.
I'm having trouble confirming the fit of the 9005 LED Sealight bulb for my 2015 Highlander. Amazon says it won't fit. Can you please help me figure it out. Thank you .
9005 is the high beam and will fit. You might be getting that message because they didn't list your make and model car in the compatible list. Let me know how it goes.. subscribe 👍
If it’s for ur 9005 high beams use as a drl. They do flicker and that’s normal. Either u can use the decoder or anti flicker kit and they will stop flickering. Or turn off ur high beam drl on ur infotainment system.
I have a 2018 Highlander xle, if I replace my high beams to led, does that change the DRL to led? Also I heard people saying that they have flickering, is that due to changing the high beams to led?
Changing the DRL is up to you. You don't have to. In regards flickering, that depends on the quality of the LED. Ensure the LED you select works with a ballast. The sealight brand I use works well. It's small, quiet and trouble free for over a year now.. Like.. subscribe 👍

@@randomrazr i’m just saying if you ever get led’s that are too big, they have aftermarket covers that will fit over the led’s that are too big for the oem covers.
@@randomrazr well the purpose of most led fans is to release heat from the unit instead of sucking in any air to cool off the led, so “blocking” the fan isn’t really an issue here. Plus, the rubber would absorb any offset heat. Either way, even if the LED was fan-less, the heat would have to escape somewhere and i’m sure these dust caps are designed to offset any heat distribution from the headlight.
