There was a suspension bridge on the Irwell in Salford, when the local militia marched across it, it reached its resonant frequency and collapsed fortunately the river was not in flood however I believe this incident is why UK troops always break step when crossing bridges!

You could visit the Chester football ground next bimble . The pitch and stands are in Wales . But the Car park and offices are in England . Confused or what !

Hi Kieran, Found you 3-4 wks ago and am hooked! Fab mix of humour and fascinating facts :-) Oh, and good music too!! Been binge watching. Am from Cardiff/Somerset so you should come on down one day and enlighten us! Curious about the WW11 iron railings removal, It happened here too but I defo remember hearing in a documentary many years ago (I'm 63) that it was only a way to make people feel like they were helping and that the iron couldn't be recycled????

To anyone reading, Chester is a great day out. The racecourse itself has a great feeling. You can waltz around all parts of grandstand and the course.👍

Great video Kieran. Looking forward to Chester 2. Can highly recommend Harkers pub at the bottom of the steps from City Road down on to the canal if you need a quick pit stop when doing part 2.
