I somebody really excited for centurion. I'm really not excited about this box set anymore seeing how few of the support cards he pulled from the archetype. Unfortunately it looks like singles and not see a product for me this time around.
Yeah it looks like another VS where too many of the cards are Ultra rare making the deck cost crazy.
5 of the centur-ion cards are ultras (the searcher, the three maindeck monsters and the boss monster) and most decks are probably gonna run three of all of them except emet, so that's 13-14 ultras :)
These types of sets aren't for consumers they exist solely for resellers, as it's 3 random ultra's per box, with most archetypes requiring 9+ ultras in specific ratios to run.
Basically unless Konami drastically change these sets never buy them it's impossible to pull anything playable unless you are buying entire cases of these boxes.
tcg always add too many card in the set compared to the original set in ocg

Wow, now that I've seen the actual cards, the Vaalmonica look so nice with that almost shadowbox effect. I already wanted to pick them up since I like weird Pendulum stuff, and while I feel like they will get a good boost eventually, right now they will be cheap due to them not having found a home yet.
Bro only 2 ultras per box...building anything out of this is going to be expensive.
Revz pulled 4 Ultras, a collectors and a Quarter century secret. I assume farfa was just unlucky
Average ratio for all deck build sets like this is 3 per box. do not attempt to pull a archetype to play from boxes it just isn't viable for any normal consumer.
Paying hundreds for singles or a deck core is sadly far cheaper.

I love that konami directly supports time wizard so much, the kristya and colossal fighter reprint are so nice!!! Along with the pulling the rug in the new ots pack
Meanwhile they reprint supply squad and meklords while substitoad and absolute zero are still over 20$.

got to love the effort after the rarity collection. a callamity turbo deck and 2 decks that wont see the light of day with a ton of reprints we did not need.

I really really want the YGO-ified TTGL archetype, but TCG Konami's shady rarity distribution makes me worry, if it will cost me an arm and a leg to get the needed URs. But at least the cutesy Valmonicas are going to be cheap (and hopefully not completely crap).
Do not purchase this product if you are a average consumer wanting to build any of the archetypes shown as the ratio is 3 random ultra rares per box, with most new archetypes requiring 9+ specific Ultras to run.
Basically it's impossible to have anything playable unless you are buying entire cases of this product, this is not a set for average consumers.
@@skormfuse I know, I was planing to get the singles anyway. But because these sets are such crap and the URs are so few per box, even the prices for singles are highly inflated until they get reprinted in a year. And if the archetype is any good and you need a playset of them you are imidiately looking at 20-25+ € per UR single.
If the prices are similar to "VS" prices on release we might be looking at a deck core price of 250-300 €, if not more.
@@destroier920 Yeah, hopefully we see changes with this product at some point, not only do players see over inflated prices, general consumers don't want a product that pretty much lies to them as you cant build a deck using a deck build box and if you have dud archetypes even resellers can get screwed if they cant shift stock before the reprint hits.

The only reason I'd get this set is to pull that Combined Creation card along with the Memento archetype. I always give even awful sets like this one a chance sometimes, this is the only exception I'll make.
Am I crazy or did they randomly reprint the dirt cheap Unchained card that was Super as a rare but the secret rare search spell that is the expensive card is not reprinted
I can't wait for Valmonica's future support. Right now the issue is they struggle to get counters to use that part of their deck but it seems perfectly natural that they're going to get Valmonica herself and that she'll be able to trigger bith effects of the spells so you get 2 counters and they go from hand neutrals to +1s
They already do their job of being 1 card scales for lv4s that can't special summon themselves so maybe ABC is about to become playable again is my hope.
They really need like a good monster or so that trigger their effect like you sad, maybe even a handtrap would be cool.

Before I watch this video, I was very excited about the release of the Centurion archetype. After seeing farfa open 2 of the same monster in ultra rare and the spell and traps cards in super rare, I stoped the video and found a reddit thread about distribution of the rairties. All monsters in the archetype are Ultra rares. To say I am not excited anymore is an understatement. Guess I will not open any boxes of this set because it is a waste of money. 100% sure konami would make more money if the moved back to the old deck build format where you could open 2-3 boxes and get all archetype in the set.
You may be able to make the full mementolian deck with how much you pulled from it

This Box honestly doesn't contain and crazy good cards. Centurion is decent Calamity Turbo, but honestly this box isn't worth it.

I really like the memento archetype, but I do think they fumbled the names. Mementotlan is just clunky to say, and calling the big guy the "combined creation" is just not as cool as "the netherskull dragon"

I kind hate that they made 5 of the centurion cards ultras, when you need basically 3 of each except maybe the synchro, having only 4 ultras per box feels bad

Damn these deck making boxes have become so much stingier, used to be 2 boxes would practically get you the full 3 decks (minus 1 or 2 chase cards) now you would be lucky to complete 1 in 2 boxes, pretty pathetic considering ITS CARDBOARD
If they released the Centur-Ion archetype, then how about another deck related in some way to Ancient Rome. I really want Armatos Legio to be released in TCG, please. They already have the entire deck, just change up the cards a little to make them viable for TCG/OCG and they can have my money.

The starlight with a stamp (QCSR) as a rarity has been super inconsistent. From them being easy promos to 25 in core boosters to the rarity collection to 3 in this CR set to 1 in the next CR set.. will these 3 be one in 3 cases to replicate the core booster set ratios? Konami flubbed this rarity.
