Forget about his rocket league skill. The fact that at his age this man can relate so incredibly well to generations ahead of him is nothing short of completely fucking insane. I really hope I'll be like that at his age, but seeing nearly everyone his age today completely out of touch with modern technology and the younger generations, I know the odds are against me

What an amazing guy. There was actually a lot of cool topics brought up during this video. At one point Sunless says something along the lines of, "The next generations will be merged through gaming." Which is really eye opening for me. The last 2 or 3 generations grew up with gaming, and gaming isn't going to leave our lives, so the next generations can connect through gaming, unlike the mid-20th century generations (generally)
My favorite wholesome moment of this video had to be when Sunless gave the guy the alpha cap. He had no idea what it was, so he probably doesn't know about it's value either, but the gesture meant more to him than the tangible value of the item.
Just overall this guy's logical process is so smart, that maybe if he doesn't want to stream, or doesn't have time for that, he should make some type of Rocket League/Gaming podcast. He could talk about one of his passions, and I think the audience would be a very large spectrum. From older people interested in gaming, to teens and young adults seeking life wisdom. I know that I'd definitely tune in.

When he talked about having cancer and how that changed his outlook on life and how he doesn't get upset about things in his daily life let alone rocket league, it really hit me. I've been getting extremely frustrated at some members of my family for not being decent human beings and I really needed to hear this.
Same, I struggle with the same issue and hearing him say that had a profound impact on me.
Don’t let your problems be your existence. There’s something beautiful to live for, man. Never ever give into negativity. Useless.

Facts I’m 21 years old and had cancer at 11 and I rarely ever get mad at the game. When he was speaking about how he felt I knew what he was going to say before he said it.
I am 13 and i was always scared of getting older because i thought i would lose interest in gaming but after this video i wasnt scared anymore
Trust me brother that’s not what you have to be scared about. Plenty of other responsibilities and set backs come ur way as you age. Live ur life as much as possible right now. As cheesy as it sounds you’ll rlly miss it when you look back at the times where you were young

I have a tear in my eye. What a beautiful human being. My gaming buddy passed away just last year, he was only 31. We played rocket league quiet a bit and since his passing, I find it sad playing rocket league. All I know is, he's up there, still not the best player and still sucking at flip resets. Tom, I miss you and for the love of God make sure you have that 2nd controller ready for when I see you again some day on the field ❤️

@@nourthedoor no it doesn't, it just means that over the year your cancer hasn't gotten worse so it's the same or improved condition not necessarily cured
man he reminds me of the Skyrim Grandma who is in her 70s if i recall and LOVES gaming. She has such a heart for gaming like you do and man i do hope Rocket League can and will make a pass or something to recognize and celebrate the older players and cross generational friends in their games

This guy is awesome with a great personality! I work with a lot of 65+ year old people (physical therapy) and become genuine friends with them but it rare to come across older people that enjoy things like rocket league. I would love to see the older and younger generations coming together like this more as you guys discussed. Very cool and uplifting video!

I lost my mum too cancer 2 years ago and it was the hardest thing I have ever had too go through in my life and I thought I was just gonna sit round and waste the rest of my life not knowing what too do without my mum, seeing this amazing persons perspective on life is absolutely Eye opening! Hearing everything he has too say has made me open my eyes and realise you can't sit round wasting your time when every minute is precious in life. Keep on doing what you're doing man you're absolutely incredible!

I am 49. I was the same way, I thought RL was stupid. Then my 53 year old brother and his 10 year old son convinced me to start playing. It was a way we could connect and spend time together. Now, I play every day, have a favorite team and wave every RLCS game. I don't have 7000 hours but I'm working on it. Great video!!
