Playing against Dad was a really memorable moment. Whole event was a cool experience that you won’t see anymore in the the scene. Everything has improved so much and gotten so much more professional. Love to see the progress, everyone is so good now (on and off the field). Also, Jknaps + Rizzo, Kro + Jahzo, Jknaps couldn’t make it out of Canada and I was fortunate enough to live near Philly. That dad clip is literally THE most wholesome shit I have ever seen in 20+ years of gaming.
I was also there. Literally the only time in my entire life I've stood up without intending to. The arena in London's atmosphere was absolutely electric that night and we all leapt to our feet in awe and excitement. Truly one of the best experiences of my life.

As someone who started playing RL back in 2018 and stopped in 2019 and only came back a couple weeks ago, this should be fun to watch
I started playing in the beta and I remember being amazed by people being able to hit the ball after jumping higher than whatever your normal single jump height was. Then I saw someone jump off the wall and hit the ball. It was like when they throw the alley oop in SemiPro. The idea had never even occurred to me lol
my fav rocket league clip is the one where alot predicts the exact second of the next goal. "LISTEN! LISTEN! LISTEN TO ME!" so classic.

Crazy to think though - the game hasn’t been out for that long. Compared to how long people spend developing the craftsmanship of their work - carpenters, musicians, software engineers, etc - people will spend 20+ years on their craft. Compared to the 5-6 years pros have been playing this game, there’s still a long way to go and it’s incredible to think about.
