She is very friendly but she shows chemistry only with a few special people like Tony Bennett. In case of Cooper she was in a movie where female character was in love and she just said she immerse in her roles for months. But here she is not in movie with Jake so their chemistry is more real.

She’s incredibly talented. Her passion and devotion to the characters she plays really is illustrated on screen. Same with Jake who absolutely deserves an Oscar. I’m sure his time will come soon.

How f’kin smooth does Jake look in this, and lady g just radiates with passion, the flow between these two is just sublime. Two very likeable and talented people.
Jake's dedication to his art is unmatched. Jake never praises himself and always gives credits to others but I want you all to know that This man chewed gums for weeks, ate kale salad every day, ran 15 miles continuously for Nightcrawler and for 6 months, he worked out 6 hours a day , 7 days a week, did 2000 sit-ups a day, push-ups, dips, flipped 350-pound tires and ran 8 miles 5 times a week for Southpaw. While training for End of Watch, he spent 12 hours a day riding along with LAPD officers. He watched about 100 interrogation videos for his one of scenes in prisoners. Those face ticking and all were his ideas. For Sisters Brothers movie, Jake did research and consulted a linguist in order to transcribe all his dialogues into phonetics.

I love Jake Gyllenhaal so much! Top tier performer. This man gives his 200% in every movie. Southpaw, Nightcrawler, Brokeback Mountain, Prisoners, Nocturnal Animals, Enemy and Zodiac, Okja etc., A man with iconic filmography. Top notch performer! Jake is a man who didn't do many blockbusters or romcoms and maybe that's why many people don't know what a great actor he is! He loves his art and puts his heart and soul into it! A legend!

This interview was everything and more! Never imagined they'd pair this well. We demand a movie together.
I can already tell that Gaga is going to have a very successful acting career. She takes her job as an actress very seriously and puts a lot of work and commitment to her roles which is why she had success with every character that she played, she knows exactly what works for her and she goes for it without hesitation. It's not just about having talent, your mindset has to be there aswell.

@@bloodyweather88 but look at everything she's done though. Whether what she's doing or wearing is "any good", there's always something creative and customized in the details. More than a few times, there's more art visible than her being shown on stage, and those are the times she's the most wild. "Art makes me feel safe" checks out as 100% genuine whether that's a big statement or not.

It is very satisfying to see Gaga's career after following her from her first moment of impact. and I dare to say that this is the first time that I can see her happy, healthy, working and enjoying herself, safe. It's what I always wish for her not only as a little monster but also as a person. I love you mom.

This is so true! I remember we little monsters were extremely worried for her when she performed Princess Die and was turning 27... At that time she would constantly hint at suicide and damnit! She's come a long way 🥰

Jake Gyllenhaal is my all time favorite actor. He could pull off every kind of role. He is multitalented who can sing well too. I watched Jake's entire filmography and was mesmerized by his acting skills. He is very hard working and puts his heart and soul into it. Jake's passion towards his art is unmatched. Jake's acting skills are on another level. Sometimes I feel like this man deserves more recognition and appreciation. He is a legend.

Notice how Jake is an excellent listener and how he absorbs the info. That is why he's a good actor. I notice that in Bradley Cooper also. If you have the habit of waiting your turn to speak and not care what other has to say, it is holding you back a few levels from being great human and artist. I also notice how Anthony Hopkins is a very attentive actor to his senses on screen.. he is always listening, smelling, seeing... talking in a way is the last thing that happens as a result of using your 5 senses

I just love that drop when Gaga tell us they met years ago at an agency.. they seem so genuinely interested in each other's experiences. From the very beginning, by the way Gaga is currently sat on that chair, show us how excited she was for this conversation, and it shows. Lovely.
His eyes were glazing over at many points. It was particularly great when, four minutes in and she says, “Well, what people don’t know about us as we met eight years ago in a hotel lobby and now look at us!”
Then she caught how self-serving that was since he has 15 years on her in the movies she’s been in, and, she says, “Because, you’ve done so much, too”. 😂😂
This interview is so interesting. Both artists shared their passion beautifully. It feels like I'm learning some of their creative juices from this interview ♥️
It's really not shocking that Gaga has chemistry with everyone. She's a genuinely nice person who is very open and honest and is interested in other people and a collaborative approach to work and she's not judgemental either. It's hard not to feel safe and able to play around her. Oh and she's talented af! If I heard that somebody did not like working with her then I'd be pretty sure that person is an asshole!!

I love how embarassed Jake gets when people bring up Donnie Darko. That film means a lot to people of that era, I also watched it about a hundred times.

It's a seemingly small thing but I love that Gaga always thanks him for the compliments. She very clearly says "thank you", because she's smart enough to recognize that false modesty is not helpful. That recognition of kindness matters, and she's accepting of his positive words. That speaks to a very well established and honest persona, false people will often go "oh stop!" or "you're better!" or whatever. She's grounded enough to accept it and thank him, clearly and without breaking eye contact.
This conversation is gold it’s so great to see these two interact and have such a revealing and intelligent approach to how they Can relate the art of acting to themselves in their own life and the passion they have for it honestly inspiring

End of watch is a extremely underrated movie that deserved way more attention than it received. I cannot believe that Jake Gyllenhaal still has not won an Oscar! Jake Gyllenhaal is an amazing actor who will go to sew many lengths and depths in his soul and he does it so profoundly and so amazingly well.

He's got lots of other awards, like BAFTA, etc...he's going back to Broadway, so he might get the Tony before the Oscar. He's definitely long overdue.

She has such incredible talent and to think that A Star is Born was her first big part in a movie. Props to Bradley Cooper for giving her a chance when so many others wouldn’t because now we get to see her in more roles! Honestly super excited to see Joker 2 if its a musical and she’s in it (might even make me watch the first one).
Also, shout out to Jake cause he knows how many roles she’s had and he didn’t treat her less or talk down to her. I feel like some people might not have had that level of conversation with Gaga and it was such an interesting interview going both ways.

Both are so smart and intelligent. I love listening to them. I’ve always liked Lady Gaga speak, she is such an intellectual individual and eloquent. This is my first time to listen to Jake but I’ve always liked him as an actor. He is quite an intellectual too.

The interview I never thought I needed to really watch; to really listen; to really watch the eyes and body language; and found how truly invested I became listening to them. I love these interviews, but this one really, really engaged me to a whole other level. I love him and his work and how the roles he takes are purposely thought through ... but I am so in love with everything about Gaga. She is truly more real than she truly has to be -- but she makes no apologies and she presents herself in acting in a manner that we see a completely different side of her. Gaga and her music and her persona? I obsess with her music. Love her. But her acting? I'm seeing another person before my eyes -- and I want to her to be one of those that I have a glass of wine with .... and just let life be in that moment.
