- Restoration of a Hornby Dublo EDL17 N2 0-6-2 Locomotive body, showing strip down, repaint and re-assembly. Footage will also show the chassis being re-assembled after being cleaned and serviced with some new parts and wiring. The engine was originally a 3 rail that was converted to 2 rail sometime prior to it being purchased by my father in 1968 for my layout.

Nice work Kev. ☕👌👍🤗
Nice job Kev, I'm a slot car guy looks like they're made using the same principle, I still play with my Aurora track I got in '68 for Christmas. Cheers ✌️😎
Yeah, it's great to dig out the old stuff and reminisce about the past. Thanks for watching Don..
Don't knock it kev it was a great video well presented, I feel your disappointment about the decals the backing paper thay used was rubbish and that's why you had the problem I had a similar problem a long time ago ,but apart from that you made a superb job of this loco, onwards and upwards my friend 👍
Thanks for your encouragement Martin
Kev, my heart goes out to you. You worked your tail off to bring your engine back to fighting trim, and expensive, lousy modern decals proved to be a thorn in your side. You sweat all the details you could, buying all the correct parts and bearings you needed and must have spent a lot of time fettling parts. You did a damn good job. It looks amazingly better, and has been cleaned and painted to a lovely state. Good on you!! ❤❤❤ Thank you for the great video.😊
Many thanks for your lovely positive reply and for taking the time to watch my frustration..
You did your best Kev, and it does look a lot better. so how does it Run ?
It runs far better, vast improvement the brushes need bedding though for a smoother slow speed pick up, thanks for watching and your comment.
Looks pretty spanky to me!
Probably run like a Swiss watch now!! 👍👍
Still have an original 3-rail version - LMS liveried.
👍👌👏👏💯
