No.51 of 99 UK Spec ERAs fully restored. 100s of hours of footage trimmed down to just 17 minutes. Check out the playlist if you want to see the detail 👍
This just popped up on my Homepage on TH-cam…I remember when these came out I was in love instantly with the body kit and metro turbo engine… I had a KatKit on mine with a 1275 engine bored out to 1430….great when it went but always niggly problems from day one…wish I had kept it though
Absolutely a fantastic restoration from start to finish. I know the plans changed and Mark went solo for a while, I'm sure Mark and Lucy have learned much more in return 👍👍.. Also the videos are beautifully crafted getting better and better since the early days, so Great work Keith & Ange in the background. 👍👍. 🙏 Be well ❤️
Thanks mate. Yes, learnt so much, made mistakes, but didn't hide them and learnt from them too. Huge credit to Keith on the editing and video wizardry. This is where i do not have patience! 😅
Hiya Mark, I've loved watching the ERA restoration-this video is brilliant. Feel like I know every nut and bolt on ERA and Keiths Sprout. Just hope I might get to see you both and the Minis next year some time. Keep well!
Nice end result but how much of the original car did you restore? The only original body parts are the roof, rear wings and the parcel shelf with some body panels, it would have been easier to just reshell it
It's £11k for as Heritage shell and then will need chopping up to make into an ERA anyway. There is quite a bit more than the roof, rear wings and parcel shelf remaining.
I don't understand what you mean Steve? In the rolling road video it started out at 84BHP and the final rolling road session was 124BHP after being tuned correctly. 124BHP was the final result, it's not been touched since
Classic Mini Workshop it’s been done before by a friend of mine with heat gun butty knife! It takes abut 12 hours! Just trying get done quicker! Thanks though my friend 🙂

Thank you Dave, really appreciate it. Where are you based if you don't mind me asking? Stay safe!
Mark Draper Lancashire, near Leyland home of the mini 😊
Wow amazing!
Thank you! Cheers!

I just want a walk round the ERA

Great ERA would love to own it. Has it ever been in a Miniworld / Magazine years ago? Im sure I recognised the car and number plate.
Thanks, I don't think it's ever been a featured car but I'm pretty sure it would have been photographed at events
It's not been in any Magazines to my knowledge. The number plate was added when i bought the car in 2018.
Is this the original DNA of the mini ERA?
Yes, it's an original UK spec ERA

Have you had some more tuning work done the bhp has gone 99 to 124 bhp

@@classicminiworkshop My mistake for some reason I remember the finally bhp being 99bhp
@@stephenstokes8318, it was 99bhp in brackets on the screen. The 99bhp is what is would be at the wheels.
Superb car, but Scrap that background music
Mate any ideas how to remove carbon fiber roof panel from bmw m3 f80 frame without damaging the roof, to use on my 335d f30 ?
Thanks
Sorry, not sure. Sounds like it could be a bit of a nightmare
