    Lived there a few years. Don't expect to make too many real friends, a lot of trashy people that will really turn your life upside down. On the ground the only thing that grows and does not die or get eaten by locust are pine trees, oak, poison ivy, poison oak, or cabage palm. The fire ants are a never ending night mare, mosquitoe season is brutal most years. During fog season it is a challange to drive in or out of there. Also the sugar field field fires can make you drive back to where you started and drive 80 miles again on another road. A good hospital is an hour away East or West bound. The austeer life style gets old after a while.

They got a cuban restaurant there now I think and the PIZZA place on the north side is amazing. montura is a little chunk of Alabama in Florida LOL with CUBANS LOL - love the rural parts.

    There is no HOA in Montura. CCWCD is a water management district. They only maintain the roads, waterways, and clubhouse. Furthermore atv riding in Montura Ranch is illegal unless you are on private property or inside the water reservoir. Access to the water reservoir used to be free (in the old land owner deeds it was stated as such) however the CCWCD board decided start charging $50 annually and that amount changed to $150 in the past few years. Your research is a little off from what I heard you say in this video. I have lived here for 42 years.

      @@floridadog7773 I'd judge by how much higher or lower the land is compared to the road. It doesnt flood often, only if we have lots of rain/hurricane conditions. The last time this happened was in 2017. If your land is lower than the road I'd make raise the area you are planning the put the pad.

    Hey bro love your video! So I grew up going to montura every weekend this was back in the 90’s. I own an acre out on hunting club the address is in the 500 block area of Hunting club. Does it flood in that area ? Like you mention in your video Miami is expensive and I want out! I haven’t been in the area as often as I wanted with the new airport being built it’s going to give me an opportunity to move. I’m actually being flowers from Colombia so I’m hoping this deal with the airport is a success. Would love to meet in you person next time I’m in montura.

    The reason i'm here watching this is funny. I was flying my flightsim to key west and I was just looking at all the drainage canals thinking how weird south fl is.
    Anyway I look down from 20,000 feet and boom there this neighborhood is.(yea my flightsim is that real) I'm like damn seriously? Why? Who the f lives out there? Who had this bright idea to start this community out here?
    After a little digging on google maps and finding out what its called, I am just in aww. ( I do this all the time, exploring around and find out things about the most out there places the people live.)
    And now Im riding around in a car seeing it first hand in your vid, lololol Thanks
    Its like West Virginia meets florida. I lived in both lol

    • @FLORIDAHOODVLOGS
      @FLORIDAHOODVLOGS  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      there IS a reason people live down there. ALL South Florida is expensive due to climate, tropical. however, this region is most affordable so people who want to grow tropical fruit farms like mango, banana ect, and animals without having to store for winter live out here. also, the sugarcane can only be grown in south florida, and it takes a small village to grow that. So, tropical weather, and growing plants is the why. My channel has some interesting stuff make sure to subscribe. I sing a west VA song, only instead of blue ridge mountains i say STUCK IN TRAFFIC. LOL Florida VERSION LOL - I purposely go to remote palces for this channel. I flew over the midwest and wondered, why on earth LOL

      Some people want that.. isolation. Horrible place for someone with health issues. However remember that all the most successful investments are the pioneer type.. the people who built the first house in manhattan were pioneers and look at it now. Different people enjoy different things.. for someone who gets their breakfast from their own backyard and goes hunting for dinner, enjoys an atv ride not a traffic jam to the beach like is city people 😂😂 the world has a little for everyone. My friend loves living and working in miami, it was a nightmare for me.
