There are cliffs at dover that are world famous. I’m sure you know the ones I’m referring to. The White Cliffs of Dover.
These are a bright region of the English coastline which directly face France. Known around the world as an icon of Britain, they were a key symbol of home and wartime defence during World War 2.
I'm a sucker for a cool fact so, some cool facts about the cliffs are:
    - The cliffs measure up to 110 metres high at their tallest parts
    - James Bond author wrote Moonraker in a holiday home at the base of the cliffs
    - The cliffs house a secret tunnel network built during the Napolenic War which were used during World War 2
    - 2 shipwrecks are visible from the cliffs; SS Falcon which caught fire in 1926 and RMS Brighton which crashed due to a miscalculation in 1910
    - Vera Lynn, iconic British singer during the World War 2 Period and beyond, sung a song 'The White Cliffs of Dover' about these cliffs
Despite being from Maidstone, a 50-minute drive away from Dover, I’ve never visited this world-famous landmark. I’m a terrible human being, I know. As I had a free Saturday, I decided to put an end to the madness of not having visited this beautiful site and drove down for a walk.
The National Trust look after a portion of the White Cliffs of Dover and help provide and maintain a beautiful nature walk. This is the exact walk that I show you in the video and I highly recommend it to everyone. That includes you. Yes, you!

I recently booked a Dover tour for a London visit in August. This video is a good one to see what I'll get to experience first hand soon.

I LIVE IN HOUSTON, TEXAS BUT I MADE IT A POINT TO SEE THESE MAGNIFICENT CLIFFS. I SAW A MOVIE WITH THE SONG "THEY'LL BE BLUE BIRDS OVER THE WHITE CLIFFS ON DOVER".

How long did it take to you get to the viewing point @1:43? I have a baby and would like to take the stroller to that point, sadly we wouldn't be able to make the whole trip. Thanks for the vid!

Hi, thanks for the comment! I haven't been down to the cliffs in about a year but from memory that platform is right at the start and accessible via wheels as it's paved. On the National Trust website for the white cliffs I'm sure it states this too.
If you get to visit, enjoy!

Don't need rave music to go with this video, just your narration and the great videography were enough.

Oh I changed my mind about the videography...the jumpy stuff at the end was obnoxious and hard to watch.

I agree, time lapse mode is so obnoxious!
