Zero research done, think they just tackled a few random adds together

I understand that this video probably has telescopes that someone paid to get on the list. Can you suggest or list some good telescopes for beginners if you've used multiple ones?

      What would you suggest then?

After having reflectors , refractors , ect the best bang for buck goes to Maks light and easy to use . The best place to spend your $ is get the best mount you can afford preferably oversize for your scope . Cheap mounts move to much to be able to track anything and are a real pain to use

These people don't have clue what are they talking about. If you want only to see planets then you need to have tracking mount and at least 2000mm focal length. Also for observing you want to be as comfortable as possible. You don't want to keep bending over or adjusting Newtonian, especially for kids. You want to sit down and enjoy long time. SCTs or MAK on ALT-AZ fork GO-TO mounts are much better choice. I know what I am talking about. I did roadside astronomy many times and my 8inch Celestron was always a winner. On the other side if you want to do astrophotography, mount is the deciding factor. I couldn't recommend Skywatcher EQ6R Pro more. For the price you cannot find anything better. I upgraded to it and Celestron EDGE 8SE and I often get sub 0.3 arc-sec accuracy guiding. I know for deep space astrophotography it is a bit long. If you want wider and only for astrophotography, Celestron RASA is to beat.

I have had good luck viewing planets with a Celestron Nexstar 8 and a Celestron 6 in Refractor. Plus a Televue 3mm to 6mm Nagler Zoom. Just my choices. Not saying that is the best but works good for me. If someone knows a better eyepiece that is not to
    expensive I may try it.

Props for actually having some good quality telescopes. Usually these. top 10 lists showcase 10 complete pieces of crap when it comes to telescopes.
The Esprit 150 APO is a very high-quality scope. The optics are fantastic. That's a dream scope for most.
But it's pronounced Eh Spree, not E spirit. There's only one i in the name.
An orion XT8 was the only main oversight. About $500 and has good enough optics and enough light grasp to last most people a lifetime. The simplest to set up and operate as well.
