100%, take a bladeless decorative sword off its handle, snap the rat tang off and make a new handle for it, sharpen the blade on a belt sander and you have a fully functional weapon you didnt need to pay $300 for.
I mean, You will still pay the price with it. Via blood or by doing your own work on it. As Bandito Incognito mentioned. Which is a good idea, I have not necessesarily thought about before as due to my lack of resources.
@@banditoincognito8950 it's the quality of the metal it will break really easy I want a blacksmith to make me a hardened carbon steel katana that would be awesome
In Mugai Ryu the aim is to try to draw without making a sound or rattle., with pressure on the mune rather than the ha. Does fast drawing not damage the saya? Entertaining video though! Best wishes from England.
Probably not. I think that a HEMA person would be better to answer this, so I dug up a clip th-cam.com/users/shorts8p-NFNjjmkY?feature=share The geometry of the weapon: wide through the length of the blade make it difficult to flex, and this one was probably not made to do so. Thrusts with this sword will penetrate, even if not sharp. While not sharp, the weight distribution of the katana is more than enough to break fingers and forearms in full speed sparring.
Hello. I heard that anti-Japanese sentiment is quite strong in Korea. Is this true and does it create problems for you since you practice Japanese martial arts?
as a Chinese, I can tell you the situation is true. Chinese, Japanese and S Korean just cannot stop hating each other, although we all live in esat asia😂
@@jonusleo148 I don't know if it still is the case, but having lot of TV show that will host stories of evil Japanese invaders putting piranha's in a lake to eat Chinee civvies and bull like that will have it's influence. Even a cheap sword is better than no sword.

I am adoring the energy she's putting out. Zero doubt she runs a biker gang part time.

Probably not.

Not like that. Many Young Koreans do not have such anti-Japanese sentiment.
