    Really loved your pattern!! Your tutorial is outstanding! I am making them for my family for Christmas! Just a note: the best thing with all this cutting out is using a magnetic cutting board which you can make yourself by purchasing a piece of sheet metal and placing it under cutting board and buying magnets.
    Makes the cutting go so quick!
    Thanks for your pattern!!!

    Thanks for a great pattern and instructions. The video is so helpful as I'm a visual learner. It's great to have a notebook cover made with my choice of fabrics, makes it unique.

    I have the pattern downloaded. And my fabric picked out. I can’t wait to do this project. The instructions are wonderful and I love the tutorial video to go with it. There might be other free patterns out there, but not like this one. It is worth the money spent on the pattern. I’m going to make several Christmas gifts.

    Is there a video of the alternative version with the pockets instead of the slide in note pad

    • @ArabesqueScissors
      @ArabesqueScissors  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi :) I don't specifically show those pockets being installed, but the pocket D is shown installed on the inner flap and this is the same as pocket A and the installation for that side. x Ali

      Hi Ann, I use a domestic sewing machine. This does need to be a quality machine that can handle layers. x Ali

    $22 for a pattern a bit stiff! It’s a nice tutorial but I can buy some decent covers for that money
    I now have found several free patterns for beautiful journals on you tube so all of you can just go away and just sew your expensive patterns all you want!

    • @SueB-x4v
      @SueB-x4v 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +14

      I have bought many less expensive patterns over the years and am usually quite frustrated and disappointed in their quality… this pattern is brilliant and in my opinion worth every cent…all the pattern pieces are so accurate and it’s apparent that a lot of work has gone into this… of course we can always buy something similar commercially made quite cheap, the materials to hand make anything will always add to the cost, but the end result of a beautifully made one of a kind item is worth it, in my opinion…💕

    • @katl6426
      @katl6426 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

      This pattern is worth every cent. It's a complex item, but the instructions are the most professionally written instructions I've seen in 40 years of quilting & sewing. I've just finished making a bag by another designer where all the instructions were squeezed into a very short space, leaving much to be figured out including which was the right & wrong side of fabrics. This pattern has all the information & templates clearly labelled & everything has been provided & explained to ensure a good result. Highly recommend 🙂

      It’s a note book cover? Unless I was going to sell them I cannot justify the cost unless was going to recover some of that. I have bought a TON of patterns online some have been disappointing but 90% of them have been great and a fraction of this price point. I must be an advanced sewing person because I can figure things out or if all else fails, go back to the tutorial that I purchased the pattern from.

      @debbismith-moore8940 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      I respectfully disagree. This crafter spent her time, effort, and supplies to create the very first (of likely many) version, tweaked and changed them, and then not only provided the pattern pieces AND a 20 page instruction book (not to mention the other files that came with the purchase that I haven't even looked at yet), but she also made this video tutorial, for no extra charge, WITH ADDITIONALS VERSIONS, for one cost.
      Also, if you were to buy a pattern like this at Joann's, you can bet your bippy it will cost at least $20, and not have the video tutorial! 😊
