Great video boys! Just went out to steel head cove yesterday and bank fished my PB large-mouth. Scale was dead but it was 6# plus for sure! my boy thinks it was closer to 8# but my adrenaline had me shaking to much to get a good sense of weight to over shoot it. With water levels where they are this year, it's gonna be a great fishing year at Berryessa!

What an awesome bag, that was a hog at 9+ lbs. As tournament anglers we need to get better at taking care of our fish. IDK what can be done at the upper level, maybe a CPR type system but with certified scales? Just a thought, when those fins turn red like that (low oxygen, high ammonia) the fish has a very high mortality rate. She may have swam off but unlikely to make it. IDK just food for thought. Great day of fishing right there.

Awesome catch. I'm watching these tournament videos to inspire me for the next upcoming season. Here in the midwest, it's still frozen. I am a tournament angler as well. Started 4 years ago. I've won 9 tournaments (3 of them $10k. The rest were under $6k). I have placed top 5 in 11. Any way, I just want to say that the way you handled the 9 pound was just glorifying. You kept her out of the water for so long and more than once or twice. Held her in poor positions fucking up her mouth. With that type of stress, I'm almost certain she didnt spawn
Where there is one theres usually another and yak are missing fish u could be catching take pics an talk about it at the end just a tip to help y'all catch more fish
