I am financially secure and travel often. I use my duffel bags from when I was in the army. Expensive bags draw unwanted attention and get you mugged or shot. Old beat-up duffel bags do not.
I prefer to just keep a more modest lifestyle. I don't have to spend my entire life working that way and I can focus more on spending my time (my most valuable resource) on experiences vs just random shit that the novelty wears off of anyhow. I get he has to sell this kind of shit to folks to make money and maybe he actually likes some of it, but as many folks get older you tend to realize that life ain't about materialistic shit anyhow. Damn sure aint about working all the damn time. I prefer to have more free time so I live more modestly while working more efficiently with my career income. Living more modestly means I can live off so much less and be happy all while having a shit ton more time for whatever I want to do and retire early if I want. Easier for financial freedom as well. The goal was never working to the bone or money alone. It was freedom and time which living below my means allows me to do. Good luck to all yall in your goals.
I agree with u, I wanna live a simple life, but in my house interior I do want prized possessions I always wanted, I don't believe in clothing brands or see the point of alot of jewelry, but I won't act like theres certain things I don't want, As long as theres a balance, use money wisley, buy stuff u love and are more valuable than something thats temporary pleasure, an example is I love the ninja turtle and want to buy an arcade machine for it, which wouldn't ever be thrown away and in a game room, it's not necessary but would make me happy because it's a possession That will always be there, as long as u dont live too simple and limit your self from buying some pleasure items, I think you'll be alright, a balance
