Slick guitar riffs. The young man has the soul of an old, black blues man. Amazing voice and lyrics. Old farts, like me, dig this this kind of commitment!! Bravo, Kaleo💕
Reminds me of muse not in terms of music but in terms of perfect arrangements. Every part complimenting the other. The synergy. The execution. Drummers voice perfectly layered on the lead. Unobtrusive guitars only adding, the stops and starts. Just a masterclass in how to arrange a song.
Ive been listening to some kaleo for years. Best song I've heard in ages, can't believe I have only just heard it! If you can recommend other songs as good as this it would be appreciated. I know no good, I cant go on without u, way down, save yourself and glass house
Honestly i would recommend all their songs. They dont have a lot of albums so you can listen to them real quick . As a fan of them their whole discography is Perfect! absolutely ☝️❤️
Bones Lyrics [Chorus] The devil's going to make me a free man The devil's going to set me free Oh, the devil's going to make me a free man The devil's going to set me free [Verse 1] I went down, deep Texas, Mississippi state Hoping things might go my way For every hard-earned dollar I make There stands a white man just to take it away Some might say I talk loud, see if I care Unlike them, don't walk away from my fear I've busted bones, broken stones, looked the devil in the eye I hope he's going to break these chains, oh yeah [Chorus] The devil's going to make me a free man The devil's going to set me free The devil's going to make me a free man The devil's going to set me free (Yeah, set me free) [Verse 2] Another hard day, no water, no rest I saw my chance, so I got him at last I took his six-shooter, put two in his chest He'll never say a word no more Oh, he'll never say a word no more The devil got him good for sure [Bridge] Ain't got no place to call a home Only chains and broken bones Ain't got no place to call a home So come on Lord, won't you take me now? Ain't got no place to call a home Only chains and broken bones Ain't got no place to call a home So come on Lord, what you waiting for? I think it’s mostly David’s , there’s times where Rubin isn’t singing and you can still here the very deep back up singing. Also, it’s fucking amazing and i want to hear him more
So Elvis went on down to the Delta grabbed him some Muddy Waters scooped himself up a helpin of Lynard Skynard, Chris Rea had a chat with Joe Bonamassa and Civil War(minus the misses)and woke up the 21st Century!
Not at all. Back in the US where the blues was born in black communities, people, under the heavy influence of local pastors, used to say the blues was the “music of the devil” because men would often skip church and home duties in order to go to hear some blues in their local bar. So the word spread out that the reason why men wouldn`t go to church was that “devil music”. Blues players like Robert Johnson used to be slaves in the cotton fields and the only way they would ever be free was by using their talent to play “the devil music” at little gigs and bars until they got famous. So when this song says “the devil is gonna set me free” its basically trying to say “playing the blues is my only way of escaping the cotton fields”.
If success was based purely on talent, Kaleo would be the biggest band in the world
William Wendt KALEO is so......talented period
Love em, but i really have to disagree with this ridiculous statement hahahaha

Bones Lyrics
[Chorus]
The devil's going to make me a free man
The devil's going to set me free
Oh, the devil's going to make me a free man
The devil's going to set me free
[Verse 1]
I went down, deep Texas, Mississippi state
Hoping things might go my way
For every hard-earned dollar I make
There stands a white man just to take it away
Some might say I talk loud, see if I care
Unlike them, don't walk away from my fear
I've busted bones, broken stones, looked the devil in the eye
I hope he's going to break these chains, oh yeah

The devil's going to make me a free man
The devil's going to set me free

(Yeah, set me free)
[Verse 2]
Another hard day, no water, no rest
I saw my chance, so I got him at last
I took his six-shooter, put two in his chest
He'll never say a word no more
Oh, he'll never say a word no more
The devil got him good for sure
[Bridge]
Ain't got no place to call a home
Only chains and broken bones
Ain't got no place to call a home
So come on Lord, won't you take me now?
Ain't got no place to call a home
Only chains and broken bones
Ain't got no place to call a home
So come on Lord, what you waiting for?
[Chorus]
Oh, the devil's going to make me a free man
The devil's going to set me free
The devil's going to make me a free man
The devil's going to set me free

Ain't got no place to call a home
(The devil's going to make me a free man)
Only chains and broken bones

Kaleo é uma banda tão gostosa de ouvir
The power of black music even white men can feel it.
?
@@leeroysinclair4861 This song is clearly Kaleo's take on old fashioned blues, which was created by African-American musicians.
I don’t think music is a race thing, it’s more of a culture thing. Has nothing to do with being black.
