Well they are the same console just one has a disc drive personally I’d go disc simply because disc games can be like £20 where as in play station store they could be £50 so the price of all those digital games will add up unless go for the sales!
The problem with buying discs is that they take up shelf space. You'll be buying over 100 games. Where are you going to put them all? You would have to buy more shelves, which takes up space etc.
@tonyp9313 simple they would find somewhere else like storage containers or get another shelf or sell things if they think if they don't won't that item I mean it not like you can do same with digital right sale if you think your collection is getting too big or sale something you may not like or having to worry about internet going out if I want to re download a game
@@AntonioJones-2003 plus digital games cost more and you can’t even sell them if you completed the game. Unlike discs where you can play a game until you finish it or just don’t enjoy it anymore and get some money back off it.
I got a used ps4 cd of (Horizon Forbidden West) ps4 game with free ps5 upgrade from a bargain bin for $40 and used (AC Valhalla) ps5 cd for $20. Try that with a Ps5 digital . That HFW game is $80 on sony online store. Your $100 saving goes very fast over a ps5 Cd version. Also there are 3,454 used ps4 cd games that make it into the bargain bins sooner or later . Also the Cd drive is a 4k Blu-Ray movie player as well. Yes pay the extra $100 for a Blu-Ray DVD Drive.
Digital games go on sale a lot. I pay as little as $5 for digital games. As far as getting the physical version for a blu ray drive, I already have a blu ray drive.
I have a Steam Deck but if i wanted to buy PS5 i would choose digital, it's cheaper (but still expensive) and i don't buy discs. Only thing id that it's too big. My Series S is almost too big so i'm just gonna wait for PS5 slim for something
I've never once heard a convincing argument for buying the digital version. Just put down the extra money for the full PS5 and have everything available to you. I always see people stating that they don't plan on using discs, but that doesn't mean you should intentionally lock yourself out of having the ability to use them in the future. I just bought sealed copies of DS1, 2, & 3 at Walmart for 17 USD total. If I bought the digital version I would have to buy from the PS store which lists DS1 at 40 USD by itself.
