Vertical stand is not just for balance of the console when it's standing vertically it's also for ventilation as well if you put the stand the console will get air from the bottom but if you don't put the stand you will block the vents on the bottom of the console

I have the original standard edition which is what I prefer. The slim model looks good though.

I wanted a slim model but the dicount on a standard ps5 at £389 for the blueray console swung it for me and i will fit a 2tb corsair ssd .
This is what I'm debating right now. Buy the original at a discount price or wait for the slim. The extra storage and smaller form is really what's delaying me. (I know 8 can buy more storage)

As someone who has not owned a PlayStation 5 yet would you recommend me get the slim try and get the 1200 or should I just wait and get the Pro keep in mind I don't care about size I don't care about super graphics or the whole 4K stuff I have owned every other Playstation system so I'm going to be getting a PS5 regardless I just want to know which one would you recommend it will become my main console and will be used every single day

more storage. quality is same. smaller which i like because the og was so big it was kinda annoying to put it in certain places. if you already have the og ps5 i woudnt recommend getting the slim because it may be better but no by much. if you dont have the ps5 then get the slim. @@wailingfeller4503

Og Ps5- Bigger Fan, heatsink and airflow for better cooling, Cheaper price for the same performance as the slim, quieter and cooler.

@@Zephyr6894y It actually isn't, they have the same cooling internals but got downsized. That means the fan, heatsink, and airfow, which will affect the cooling. It can't have better cooling when it has the same 6nm chip.

I traded my fat ps5 in for 400 bucks and bought the slim for 499, plus got the Spider man 2 game.. Feels pretty good so far, definitely smaller ..

I dont like the new Glossy top of the PS5 Slim. It reminds me of the first Version from the PS4 with the glossy black panel. The glossy design goes hand in hand with dust and little scratches on the surface

All I can see here is Sony saying less is more it seems, this isn't a system for the budget gamers.
800 pounds is approximately $1,100 USD for a console costing today roughly $500 before tax...... Also it was my understanding that the PS5 controller with the serial number ending (1) was the problematic device and the new one's ending in (1A) is the problem-free version? 🤔😏

Not worth it for a more budget option. Xbox s is a much better value for cheeper gaming and the standard ps5 is only 50 bucks more so I don’t see much of a purpose of getting the slim

Man its like i am blessed cursed i just bought one today it arrives tomorrow. I had an original ps5 not even a year with it and i sold it to my nephew 😂but the only reason i bought it is because of final fantasy 7😂❤️

Oh. I didn't know there was a 1B controller. Do any of these fix the noise I hear from standard headphones plugged into the audio jack? It's not a problem I had with the Dualshock 4, but two white DualSenses I have (I think 1A) have noise, especially from the left channel, whenever audio is playing. It's subtle... but subtly annoying, too.
You can try not putting the audio jack in all the way. Have it stick out just a little. That may work. 😊
Mine has been a bit of a disaster since I bought it last week, I will exchange it and hope that I just got one that is somewhat defective. The biggest problem is that games which I installed with a physical game disc will kick me out with a can't read disc error bang on one hour after I start the game. I almost can't believe it.

I thought you said in another video that the controller ending in "1" was the stick drift one! And that the revised one was "1A"? My ps5 slim came with a "1A" 😮 Please tell you made a mistake in this vid lol. I do see yours came with "1B" so, I'm all sorts of confused haha.

I don't really understand people buying this console like its something new. It's the same PS5 with a detachable drive that needs the internet every time you factory reset and looks cheap. An extra 500gb is no sweetener in my opinion. Even people who haven't got a PS5 should maybe just buy the old stock until that runs out because it's a better bult system.
Anyone else having WiFi issues with this slim every time I turn it on it says not connected WiFi failed did I get a lemon ?
I think you have to register the disc drive to the internet
I had lan cable issues with my regular ps5 I changed the surge protector on that my wifi was connected to and it fixed it I have no clue how but it did 😂
@@ikeschrager9903 hasn’t done it since this morning I pulled it closer to the front edge of the cabinet so hopefully that helped been loading games onto the system all day no problem
@@danemoreno88 ps5s definitely have their moments but overall it’s been great owning one easy to clean and the load times are amazing except for the wifi issues I had for like a month until I figured out the issue if you use lan cables make sure it has a solid connection and has no wiggle room

The PS5 controller is hands down the BEST controller right now. Adaptative triggers, haptic feedback, great battery life. It's extremely comfortable. I don't see a point in getting Xbox vs PC... PS Plus has an amazing library of games new and old that you can play.
If you have ever tried the ps5 dualshock controller you would change your opinion, it makes the xbox controller feel lame. @@EJSVARZ

I have the OG disc version but only 2 discs so I’ll be selling that and getting a digital ‘slim’ instead. I move my PS5 4 times a week so, having it weigh almost half is a big sell…
Also, I’ll definitely be getting the dbrand plates for it the split second they’re released!

i wouldn't recommend people who already have the ps5 to get the slim because the slim has 2 advantages only. its smaller and has more storage. however sense your selling your ps5 then go for it. id recommend it to people who dont have a ps5 yet but because your selling yours then definitely get it.

@@danielomar8106you get 1 more usb-c in the front... but in order to use the disc drive you will have to register-sync with the Sony server online. Caveat - If you factory reset, you will have to register-sync it again.
bro don’t sell your ps5, slim is bad cooling wise, ( also dust traps in it way quicker ) it’s fragile and makes way more noise if ur playing a gpu/cpu intensive game

Considering what's available now, if you can find the OG good luck. Most stores will stock the COD or Spiderman 2 slim bundle now for the holiday season.
UK is not in an earthquake zone so what does it matter that it wobbles if delibrately pushed with the legs on?

It's not worth it in my opinion. It doesn't have a lot more to offer than the Original PS5. Just the SSD, slimmer design, and disk drive options. Those are not really changes that'll convince me to buy the new PS5. Great review though!
It has 2 usb-c ports as opposed to 1 on the OG model. On the back of the slim, the ports are rearranged and is 30% smaller than OG. You also get 1TB vs 825GB on the OG. Only thing missing is the vertical stand, but it has 2 plastic legs for holding up horizontal.
