BSB fan for life! The words to this song is pretty sentimental if you listen to them. You just had to be a teen when they first came out to truly grasp their talent I guess. N’ SYNC was good but BSB came out first and a lot of us fell in love and have been partial to them ever since.
When you were talking about love at first sight, the video for "As Long As You Love Me" is where Brian Littrell met his wife (blonde with glasses and hair in bun).
You guys are adorable! I love how you touch her during the Nsync video! So sweet! Always nsync for me! I do have to admit though that neither of these are my favorite, but if i had to choose, I'm going for TBSB on this one.
I lean more BSB but NSYNC is very good and I’m also a fan of them. Best singer in BSB is Bryan and the best singer in NSYNC is JC hands down. You should watch a video of the two bands singing A cappella. JC voice really shines when they sing inside a aquarium tunnel. It’s amazing
NSYNC started as an acapella group with set roles for everyone. They chose JC and Justin to be the lead vocalists of the group because they were both tenors. Then the rest were harmonizers - Joey was the baritone, Lance was the bass, and Chris was the soprano or counteralto. Joey is actually a tenor too but he was the designated baritone because neither Justin or JC can do baritone. Earlier on everyone got a chance to sing, but later I think they pushed Justin and JC to be more prominent in the spotlight because they were the better-looking ones and they were also the ones doing the songwriting on the second and third album. JC should have risen the same as JT but JC quit singing in 2008. Shame really.
NSYNC’s first album was written by the same songwriters/producers as BSB, so you’re right. Only in NSYNC’s second album did they start getting creative control of their music, and you can see NSYNC leaning more towards R&B and hip hop (JT and JC’s musical influences)
Y'all definitely should do a comparison of live performances between these two. From their second albums. NSYNC - "No Strings Attached" album is awesome!
@@milenarosa5162Yes, No Strings Attached was a huge hit when it came out. It was their best selling album. I think it is a matter of personal taste because NSYNC was being praised at the time for their Hip Hop and R&B influences and they were the first pop group to have rappers and hip hop featured artists on their album. The melding of genres in NSA was definitely a huge selling point. If you think NSA wasn’t your cup of tea, that’s fine but to say it isn’t a good album is not really accurate.
You should have the fans do a poll, choose their favorite songs and go with the highest requested. That would be some fun. I have BEAUTIFUL songs from BSB and N'sync that are so much better than these. I also think, maybe go with lyric vids so that nothing distracts you from their amazing voices. Just my opinion. Had so much fun though with your reactions ❤ My personal favorites are: BSB 1. Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely 2. Shape of My Heart 3. Drowning N'SYNC 1. This I Promise You 2. Tearin' Up My Heart 3. God Must Have Spent A Little More Time On You Not in any particular order

Yes, NSYNC were MUCH better dancers then BSB. It also almost made me cry when you read that comment about the special needs child. I myself am physically disabled and special needs but i am an adult now. I must say this song LITERALLY saved my life as a teen and even in my 20s, thank you for including this song and video in your video.
Fun fact, Brian from BSB met his wife on this music video shoot. It would also be interesting to see you react to a more recent (2019) BSB song, like Chances.
Ideas for Ali! Just ideas- your choice, no hate from me 😊 Larger Than Life vs Bye Bye Bye This I Promise You vs Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely Its Gonne be Me as a stand alone because it beats everything it goes against 😂 Definitely the 1st one!! Those are the two "bangers" from their 2nd US albums. I was a hard core BSB fan but that moment in the "Its Gonna be Me" video when JT looks up and laughs, danggg my little 14 year old heart melted. I watched it over and over and became a fan of both after that 😂
I was Team NSYNC growing up, but the older I get the more I like BSB. They did age better, but also their new music is so good!! You should do a song on each of their 3rd albums!!
Yes, JC was a judge on ABDC. He was actually the best vocalist of all of the boy bands, per an interview they did with BSB, *NSYNC, and 98°. Good dancer, great range. He probably would have been the breakout star of *NSYNC if JT wasn’t such a great performer with stage presence.
Having a good voice is nothing to brag about. That's what you're born with. JT became a star because he put the effort into things you had to learn. Song writing, producing, performing, etc.
How having a good voice isn't anything to brag about? Of course having an amazing voice is something to brag about, and JC writes music and produces for other artist has for awhile. He's just not in the limelight light anymore, I'm not even an NSYNC fan but I did like JC cause his vocals were fantastic where as JT wasn't that impressive. Now I give JT props with his song making but he also had the benefits of working with the best producers in the game
Ballad against ballad BSB win hands down!! I have an interracial family and I can remember my husband laughing his butt off when my daughter and I were watching a BSB concert in her room! It was hilarious because he was all about rap but because of the diversity of our family, we listened to rap, hip hop, classic rock and all forms of music. My youngest is now 27 and she is totally eclectic in her music choice. She listens to GNR, Eagles, BSB, soul, R &B, etc. we love it all!!!!
You need to watch the lou Pearlman movie. It's about all the boy bands he managed, BSB, NSYNC and others and how he scammed so much out of everyone. They talk about how when BSB was on tour, NSYNC was practicing in a barn in Florida for hours, bsb admits that NSYNC could dance circles around them and JC was hands down the best vocalist of all the boy bands 🙂
@@anushkamaharaj9941You should watch their live performances then! JC is amazing live - sounds exactly like in the studio. All that while sprinting at top speed onstage doing complicated dance moves! He’s a beast at performing really. He also has a 4-octave range. Even during their Mickey Mouse Club days, everyone was saying JC was the best singer and dancer in the group. Back then Justin was still 12 year old and hasn’t even reached puberty yet lol (I mean Justin was still good, for his age)
I like both groups but I do like BSB better. I would agree that there’s no question NSYNC were better dancers. BSB only had 2 strong dancers with actual dance training (AJ and Howie) and you could tell the rest really weren’t natural dancers.
BSB is by far my favorite, but I loved seeing this N’Sync video. I had never seen it and always thought it was a love song between a man and woman. I didn’t even think about it being from a son’s perspective. Thanks for sharing! Can’t wait to see what you choose for the tie breaker! 😊
Yes, NSync had the better dancers. Yes, JC was a judge on America’s Best Dance Crew. Team NSync here but BSB is amazing too. Love all the songs picked so far.
Hi, I'm discovering your channel now. I'm from Brazil and BSB came this year to do a show here, they're amazing, they're still wonderful and the harmonies between them are perfect. This song was so famous here that when I was a teenager my sister danced to this song at school and another one by N'SYNC too. I loved the channel.😘
Im subbing just for these BSB/ n*sync lol. Im a BSB. But... god must have spent was my fav of n*sync. The most beautiful wedding and to your child song.
Funnily enough, I came after the generation of when you had to choose between Backstreet and NSYNC 😂, thus I proudly say I love BOTH groups! In my opinion, while the Backstreet Boys were, overall, the better vocalists, *NSYNC did have the better dancers and performers. 😊
@@gripette2715it’s true, Joey is a great singer actually. And the fact that all of them were real childhood friends before they started the band (except Lance) meant that some of them were willing to be the harmonizers in the background compared to BSB. If NSYNC was a proper band (like with instruments), that would explain their dynamic better. Just because there is a lead singer doesn’t mean the other band members aren’t important.
These bands are bringing back so many memories for me. My daughter loved both bands and that’s all I heard everyday!! She’s 33 now and I miss her being the little girl in her room blaring this music! Lol!! ❤ I can’t pick bc she had one guy from each band she was “gonna marry”!! 😂
In the future you should do Backstreet Boys drowning, larger-than-life, quit playing games , I Want It That Way and God your mama and me. And for NSYNC bye bye bye, This I Promise You, Dirty Pop, and it's going to be me
I think the main reason that BSB fans dislike N’Sync so much is largely due to the fact that BSB came out before and most of their fans feel like N’Sync was sort of a “knockoff” since they came out within just a year later. BSB have definitely sold more albums (100 million to 70 million by N’Sync), but they also have released 9 albums with the most recent being 2019. N’Sync only put out 4 albums over 4 years so if you look at only those years, the numbers are pretty much identical. I always liked N’Sync just because I liked their songs much better but definitely can appreciate the talent of both.
BSB sold estimated 130 million albums. BSB at their prime also had 4 albums (BSB, Millennium, Black&Blue which was barely promoted and The Greatest Hits). Never Gone was after their first breakup but Incomplete was still a hit.
@milenarosa5162 they literally were a knock off created by the same creator of the BSB. Anything spots BSB wouldn't do, Lou Pearlman would have N*SYNC go do them instead.
Fun videos! Hope you do more of these. And what she said about *NSYNC being the better dancers is perhaps the one part of this boy band debate that really can’t be debated. No boy band has danced like them.
I’m always team Backstreet Boys! I will say.. people may say the dancing may be cheesie.. but I dance and it takes a lot ALOT of practice to get into sync like that so don’t give them to hard a time. Lol
As a 90's baby I love these BSB vs *NSYNC match up videos. Definitely nostalgic, I am Team BSB and Bryan Fangirl lol *Nsync was very good but BSB got me with I'LL NEVER BREAK YOUR HEART from their debut album. Please keep going, maybe try live videos, music videos tended to be overdone and extra cheesy.
Backstreet Boys never tried to be a dance group really and N*SYNC had the corner on that anyway. It was never something that was up for debate. They both had their strengths and dance was in the N*SYNC column easily. Also, JC is the best singer in N*SYNC but Justin was really great too and had more star power so it made sense he had the biggest solo career. Pop stars need more than just a great voice which feels unfair sometimes but it is what it is. Even Justin said JC was the better singer. But Justin had an undeniable "it" factor. I say that as a girl who grew up hugely favoring JC (though Lance was my ult bc he was so cute).
@crochetingcanuck i think so too. Including Lance. He had an extremely deep voice and could've created some magic also. Those 3 could've been amazing just on their own.
I grew up an NSYNC girl and will always love them but also have a lot of love for BSB. They both have different sounds. Funny thing though, I just watched the God Must Have Spent video the other day and had the same thought. Growing up I always thought of it as a love song, even after seeing the video a million times, but the other day I really WATCHED the video and it definitely gives me a mother/son feel.
Not really… NSYNC actually split at their peak -- in 2003 when they were at the top of their game and the charts. They ended their run with a bang. Their final album had Pharrell, Brian McKnight, etc producing their songs! BSB is just a shadow of themselves running on nostalgia at this point. It’s pretty telling that no one here are playing their new songs or albums.
Wow!! Your taking me back! Always one of my favorites. My momma actually loved it also. It’s a pleasure to connect with another Team N’Sync person. ❤❤❤
This this was a bit of an unfair match up with BSB's song being uptempo. "I'll Never Break Your Heart" is a much better song to put against "God Must've Spent A Little More Time On You." I was a boy band fanatic growing up and BSB was my favorite. Big Brian fan. I can actually tell them apart by voice. Will always believe BSB is the best, especially given they're still together and making music today.
what i love about 'got must have spent...' is that it can be romantic or familial. makes me think of christina aguilera's old song 'i run to you' and how everyone saw it as romantic, but she said she thought of her mom when she sang it. all in the ears of the listener!
Bro. I get it, cheesy yes definitely but the music is beautiful and the lyrics even more. The fact that you think MEN like myself would not sing these songs or have the balls to sing this music in the 90s of all eras, it's just insane. You are thinking of current time and not putting your mind back in the 90s where this music did not require "having balls" to perform it.
Now girl… how have you never seen these videos?! 😂 God Must’ve Spent (A Little More Time On You) is my favorite NSYNC song. Their ballads are so underrated. They were just so much better than all the other groups at dancing and putting on a show that the uptempo tracks got more love. They have really good slow album cuts. Yes that was JC on Americas Best Dance Crew. JC is the best vocalist of ALL the boy bands of that time. Really listen when he’s doing his verses. Speaking of ballads and Brian McKnight, he produced a song for them on their Celebrity album called “Selfish” that’s really good.
BackStreet Boys will always be the best, they set the bar Because like my fellow BSB fans said, all 5 in BSB got their moment N’SYNC,it centred around 1 man,Justin Timberlake
Backstreet Boys have been together 30 years in April of 2023 and are still killing it off their DNA album from 2017.

I think all 5 *NSYNC guys can sing: JT, JC and Chris but Joey has a really good voice too, vast range… he should have had more leads. And Lance is a real bass … not many opportunities for leads. They too have each their own distinct sound, unfortunately, they did not have the chance to put it to use.
@@gripette2715 that's what I'm saying. They each had amazing voices, but wasnt givin the oppertunity to showcase what they had. And I know we all had our favorites. I didnt believe much in competing boy bands. I feel if you like the music, and they made u get up and dance, well that's a plus in my book. Another plus is being able to sing, I say that cause I sing like an alley cat. Lol. Both bands did that. They could sing...and I dont care..the dancing was cool... Nysnc had their own voice and style..but not always heard. And they were deserving of it.
I”ll never break your heart vs. drive myself crazy please
They're my faves as well. Shame that Brian's voice changed with the surgeries he's had to have.
Backstreet had 2 majors advantages. They were first and all could sing. Watch enough *NSYNC and you’ll realize 2, maybe 3 singers.
Ironically the N'Sync song sounded more like a Backstreet Boys ballad than an N'Sync ballad.
Would you label No Strings Attached a good album for real? Lol
@@Aprillis29 But No Strings Attached only sold 14M worlwide while Millennium of BSB sold more than 40M. LOL!! BSB the best. 💖💖💖💖😹
@@Aprillis29NSA is an awesome album.
Had so much fun though with your reactions ❤
My personal favorites are:
BSB
1. Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely
2. Shape of My Heart
3. Drowning
N'SYNC
1. This I Promise You
2. Tearin' Up My Heart
3. God Must Have Spent A Little More Time On You
Not in any particular order
Can't believe you didn't do tearin up my heart!
BSB all day! I loved this song so much and if I wasn't going to marry Kevin I'd marry Brian at 14 😂 my friend and I had picked our favorite one to marry my friend at the time loved " Bad boy" guys so she loved AJ 😂 we were going to marry them 😂
BSB was founded in 1993 when Nick Carter was only 13! AJ was 19, Brian was 22, Howie was 23, and Kevin was the oldest at 25.
AJ was 14, Brian was 18, Howie was 20 and Kevin was 21.
Dude just stop thinking, it’s pure pop, nothing serious, catchy tunes, fight it all you want, you’ll be toe tapping in no time 😂
Fun fact, Brian from BSB met his wife on this music video shoot.
It would also be interesting to see you react to a more recent (2019) BSB song, like Chances.
Nope...Back Street Boys were better on this one too!!
Ideas for Ali! Just ideas- your choice, no hate from me 😊
Larger Than Life vs Bye Bye Bye
This I Promise You vs Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely
Its Gonne be Me as a stand alone because it beats everything it goes against 😂
Definitely the 1st one!! Those are the two "bangers" from their 2nd US albums.
I was a hard core BSB fan but that moment in the "Its Gonna be Me" video when JT looks up and laughs, danggg my little 14 year old heart melted. I watched it over and over and became a fan of both after that 😂
JC Chasez was the better vocalist in NSYNC.
Not Brian but otherwise agreed lol
BSB in this battle - you should do BSB vs NKOTB
I was Team NSYNC growing up, but the older I get the more I like BSB. They did age better, but also their new music is so good!! You should do a song on each of their 3rd albums!!
Should have done Ill Never Break Your Heart or All I Have to Give. Ballad against ballad
Yes I always thought JC was the best singer
Having a good voice is nothing to brag about. That's what you're born with. JT became a star because he put the effort into things you had to learn. Song writing, producing, performing, etc.
How having a good voice isn't anything to brag about? Of course having an amazing voice is something to brag about, and JC writes music and produces for other artist has for awhile. He's just not in the limelight light anymore, I'm not even an NSYNC fan but I did like JC cause his vocals were fantastic where as JT wasn't that impressive. Now I give JT props with his song making but he also had the benefits of working with the best producers in the game
@@shayeplunkett24 Now we need Seb's reaction to Blowin Me Up by JC :)
@@zeusimback9503 I agree whole heartedly with everything you stated
Ballad against ballad BSB win hands down!! I have an interracial family and I can remember my husband laughing his butt off when my daughter and I were watching a BSB concert in her room! It was hilarious because he was all about rap but because of the diversity of our family, we listened to rap, hip hop, classic rock and all forms of music. My youngest is now 27 and she is totally eclectic in her music choice. She listens to GNR, Eagles, BSB, soul, R &B, etc. we love it all!!!!
I'm 60 years old. The boy bands were in my daughter's generation but I still have BSB on my playlist. I do not have NSYNC on my playlist
Me too!!!!
BSB Shape of my heart is a beautiful song.
I mean, JC was my fave vocalist out of NSYNC (the focus on JT was unfair to him ,i think) but from all boybands? Meh...
Now I NEED to know if Ali's favorite was JT or JC?? I loved JT, but I was definitely a JC girl. His voice was like honey and man was he pretty.
I like both groups but I do like BSB better. I would agree that there’s no question NSYNC were better dancers. BSB only had 2 strong dancers with actual dance training (AJ and Howie) and you could tell the rest really weren’t natural dancers.
Kevin was a trained ballroom dancer
More boy bands on the channel. Maybe 98 Degrees - "Because of You". Good ol' Nick Lachey.
I’m team BSB
BSB is by far my favorite, but I loved seeing this N’Sync video. I had never seen it and always thought it was a love song between a man and woman. I didn’t even think about it being from a son’s perspective. Thanks for sharing! Can’t wait to see what you choose for the tie breaker! 😊
I'm waiting for round 3 ❤!
While I'm team BSB, I will admit that NSYNC are better dancers in my opinion.
Same. And I think BSB would fight us if we ever said different too 😂
I’m still going with Backstreet Boys. Everyone still loves that song!
The Song is about the Love of their Mothers
The song is about mothers? 😂😂😂😂
It could be that or someone they love :)
This is so much fun!! I’m a new subscriber for this. I would love to get your take on NKOTB sometime too. That was my fav! Oh oh oh oh oh….
Will continue to scream it from the rooftops NKOTB by far the best from 1986. They absolutely embraced the cheesiness of it all on tour to this date
Actually, all *NSYNC guys have great voices… it’s just that Joey, Chris and Lance never had leads really to proove it…
Actually BSB are by far the best performers but NSYNC dances better, I’d give them that.
I was about to correct you for NSYNC’s albums being 3 and not 4, but then I remembered their Christmas album 🤣
My husband is more entertained by me singing and dancing every time I hear them on the radio. I'm 43, so love Nsync, but NKOTB is my OG. ❤
New Kids on the Block. You Got It Right Stuff, I'll Be Loving You, Cover Girl and Step by Step.
Sebs mentioned Boyz to Men. Now that's a boy band I'd still listen to today. They were the very underrated in my opinion.
Fun videos! Hope you do more of these. And what she said about *NSYNC being the better dancers is perhaps the one part of this boy band debate that really can’t be debated. No boy band has danced like them.
Shouldve done bsb thr biggest fan against this song. Since its for their moms too
Nah, "As long as you love me" is definitely better. I like "God must have spent" but it's no "As long as you love me".
Backstreet Boys are so much better. I just felt like their songs touched me more than any other boy band.
As Long as You Love Me……..so beautiful….one of my all time favorites, guys! ❤❤❤
Honestly, I was more into 98 Degrees…. Of course the boy bands of my era were NKOTB and New Edition.
I’m always team Backstreet Boys! I will say.. people may say the dancing may be cheesie.. but I dance and it takes a lot ALOT of practice to get into sync like that so don’t give them to hard a time. Lol
Brian from BSB met his wife in the video AS LONG AS YOU LOVE ME
As a 90's baby I love these BSB vs *NSYNC match up videos.
Do Backstreet Boys I want it that away versus *NSYNC bye-bye bye Both happened around 2000
I don't think some of the boy bands had say about how videos were done.
I told my son if Joey and Chris did the main singing - i think they would've went even further.
Yes, Justin is overrated. Generic voice. Joey and Chris should have got more solos.
@crochetingcanuck i think so too. Including Lance. He had an extremely deep voice and could've created some magic also. Those 3 could've been amazing just on their own.
I'm really just loving this reaction videos, brings a lot of nostalgia and I'm team BSB ❤
I was a hardcore NSYNC fan originally but BSB is doing something right to still be touring 30 yrs later. I love both now. Lol
I loved that song from the back street boys
what i love about 'got must have spent...' is that it can be romantic or familial. makes me think of christina aguilera's old song 'i run to you' and how everyone saw it as romantic, but she said she thought of her mom when she sang it. all in the ears of the listener!
Brian met his wife while shooting that music video. She is the blonde secretary actress
BSB still going strong after 30 years.
Justin (NSINC) is the man but Brian (BSB) is the top singer from both groups
You are forgetting this was back in the 90's you are looking at 2023 not the same this is what was in back then this is why they did so well.
Backstreet Boys. Everytime. ❤
Now girl… how have you never seen these videos?! 😂
God Must’ve Spent (A Little More Time On You) is my favorite NSYNC song.
Wait till you get to No Strings Attached vs Millennium
Yes I agree! That was their prime!!
BackStreet Boys will always be the best, they set the bar
Because like my fellow BSB fans said, all 5 in BSB got their moment
N’SYNC,it centred around 1 man,Justin Timberlake
