Hi guys.....Hey, just wanted to throw this out there. I was married to NSYNC'S Guitar tech for 11 years, and toured with them the majority of The No Strings Attached Tour. I can vouch 100 percent, that all of the mike's were turned on for all of them, all of the show.
All their mics were on. I can actually hear Joey really well in this performance. You can hear JC and Justin clearer because they're singing the melody. ❤
this! but also i do think JC & justin's mic's were sliiiightly louder. the NSA MSG concert during the opening no strings attached, lance's mic was really loud but as the concert went on it was a lil quieter but yeah. all 5 of those microphones were always on
Their mics are all on. They sing 5 part harmonies. That’s their whole deal and it’s why it sounds so smooth. They are an a cappella group that makes pop music. JT & JC sing the leads, Chris sings the high parts, Lance is the bass, and Joey rounds out the middle. If you ever doubt just watch them sing an a cappella ballad. Or look up them singing the national anthem.
“NSYNC girl forever” “You were not a 12 year old girl.” You read my mind, EXACTLY. This was our childhood and I’m so excited, I’m re-listening to their music right now.
As big as Nsync was, they only had 3 albums and that is crazy to me. I was 17 in 2000 and graduated in 2001 but I was huge on Nsync too growing up. I still listen to their old stuff. My children even listen to them now.
My husband bought us tickets to see Nsync for our 11th anniversary in Dallas in 2001. There were all ages around us. The concert was absolutely amazing. I’m pushing my husband to buy us tickets for our 34th anniversary if they were tour this next summer…or whenever they decide to hit the road again. ❤️❤️❤️
I highly recommend watching their performance of "I Thought She Knew" from the Madison Square Garden concert if you really want to hear all of their voices well. It's also arguably their best ballad, too! And everyone's mics were on - they just have very specific parts they sing to round out the harmonies. As someone else in the comments said, I can hear Joey very well in this performance in particular, but his voice is often the hardest to pick out because he's the baritone and blends so well with Chris and Lance.
There is an 11 year gap between my oldest daughter and youngest daughter. I got lethal doses of NKTOB and Nsync and BSB. I enjoy the music of all three bands now that I don't have to yell at someone to turn the volume down LOL
*NSYNC comeback tour could be as massive as Garth Brooks coming out of retirement was for Country music. Shout out to Linkin Park and Incubus. Those two were also huge for my childhood in the early 2000’s as well as *NSYNC. Amazing stuff! In the days of using CD’s in cars, “Make Yourself” and “Meteora” were two CD’s that never left my car - even well into my adulthood until I was able to carry all my music on my phone! Two of my lifelong favorite records!
Technically, it's a break up song. But, it's really about separating from their manager who was stealing all their money and eventually ended up in prison. The album title No Strings Attached also has to do with not being attached to the manager.
@@Alicia-qq6ii I was never really a fan of boy bands myself but I remember watching a documentary about Lou Pearlman who was the guy who stole their money and died in prison because of it.
Thanks for saying this. So many people think it's just a breakup song, but it was more about breaking away from Lou Pearlman before he had a chance to rob them as badly as he did to the Backstreet Boys.
I'm right there with you. I love NSYNC best. Backstreets good, but I was all for how NSYNC harmonized and danced. I really hope they come back permanently (not just a one time apperance thing).
I live 20 minutes from where JT grew up. Saw him and Cameron Diaz at the grocery store one day lol He's incredible in concert. I do hope they get back together. JT also loves his Memphis sports teams. We all love him here!!
Dude this is not cheesy AT ALL! lol They had to go hard because it has to translate to the big screen for the girls in the cheap seats. Errbody getting their money's worth! 🤣🤣
I remember how the lines were for the tickets! My first concert was the No strings attached tour. My dad got them for my birthday that year in 2000. I got to see them two more times for their last two tours. NSA was my favorite though. That album had a different meaning than just being another album.
Their concerts were awesome. I took my nieces (2 yr old and 3 yr old)and Joey sang to them. We had front row seats and every concert we went to. At one of their concerts Joey and Justin wet the hell out me with their water blasters😂
'nsync was pretty known for singing live, especially because they were known for their harmonies. i saw them in concert once for each album and they were amazing live! "i thought she knew" is acapella and an amazing display of their harmonies, i recommend watching a live version of it. also you don't hear lance, chris, and joey coming through heavily because they're there to round out the sound. they all even said (i think chris did in the hot ones interview) that they knew they were there to be support, they weren't all competing with each other to be heard.
This is from the Popodyssey Tour. I to this day still say this is the best concert I've ever been to, and I'm pushing 300 shows I've been to at this point in my life lol. It was epic
BSB too started in Europe, yes. And became global sensation. *NSYNC went in their footsteps yet never matched the success of BSB in Europe, and let's be honest, anywhere apart from America. Even Chris and Lance admitted in the interview that girls would be coming to their shows in Europe and tell them 'We're only here coz BSB aren't here'. So therefore *NSYNC never really returned to Europe, Australia or Asia and stayed in US.
Should have started with no strings attached from the concert. You can really tell the mics are on and they are not lip syncing. I believe Lance's mic was turned up way too much and yiu can hear him over everyone else.
You two should do a live stream of watching The Boy Band Con together, it would be amazing :) Or react to Nsync from there Disney performance that made them known. Great vid :)

Donnie Walburg who is Marks brother was in NKOTB..Donnie is married to Jennie Garth who was in Beverly Hills 90210. Donnie is on Blue Bloods and Jennie is a judge in the Masked Singer.

So stupid. And it took so much convincing to get my parents to agree (they were anti concert for some reason) and my dad was willing to pay for front row seats which was a huge miracle. I am still bitter over it to this day lol. I wasn't into Nsync enough to try that for them but these days I DEFINITELY would! Oh and I was 16 in 2000. I feel so old lol.

I still stand by my opinion that Joey and Chris sound the best. I still find a lot of recordings of them and i love it. A lot of footage with nick and aj from bsb and the 1 from boys 2 men. They're so much fun to watch and they sound great

After Donnie left the NKOB group his brother Mark replaced him.
