Southwest France always delivers, although sometimes find the good spot is hard! My fav wave "Les estagnots" in Hossegor, rippable fun wave!
It reminds me how much I love my country, I'm lucky to have family in the Basque country, I'm still new to surfing but whatever, I love going to the water. I look forward to summer.

Lived in Biarritz for 6 months in 2018, such a lovely place.
J'ai vécu à Biarritz, l'ambiance est géniale et c'est vraiment un ville sympathique et les habitants sont adorables.
If you stay in France, you should check the Ile d'Oléron where there's a really good reef break near a lighthouse at Chassiron. Wonderful place to surf

45 years ago the Chamber D'Amour was a must destination for surfers from northern Europe escaping cooler climbs thats why I live in OZ now.

Nice man. My young surf buddy, Rory, from Big Island Hawaii, is following right behind you it sounds like. He’s heading to Biarritz and Hossegor in a few days, then over to Portugal, doing the reverse. I told him to hit Donostia too whilst he’s in the vicinity.
I love the welcome “yo” - when you’re meeting the French guys. Mine turned out to be a bit too loud, with 50 people starting at me afterwards haha

Visit Erromardie and Lafitenia, also Parlamentia if it is a big forecast. Vieux-boucau if you want to get some barrels all alone. But you definitely have to come to Spain, the best food and vibe, also epic spots around, just ask.

Quick question: I'm planing on driving there with my car and stay on Airbnb but everywhere i look it says its paid parking and the apartment is 3km away from the center. I wonder how on earth people do to carry their stuff when they go surfing? Is there any free parking or something?

Hey Kale, I am from Biarritz! When i saw your video I was so happy to see you had come to Biarritz. I have a house at the top of the beach you are surfing in the thumbnail (la cote des basques). i actually filmed myself surfing and made a video in the exact same spot (under la villa Belhza)

Bienvenue en France Kale ! Un petit tour en Bretagne en suite ? Si tu veux du typique au bords de l'eau et dans l'assiette tu vas être servi. Avec une galette à l'andouille arrosée de cidre et un petit gouter avec un Kouign amann tu n'auras qu'une envie c'est retourner dans l'eau pour te dépenser.

The "castle" ;) is called "Villa Belza !!
The crime is the horrible building just behind, a cube of concrete build in the 70's...
This buiding is a shame (but i've to admit, when you're on the last floors, you have an amazing view on the coast and the montain (even spain) !!!
