SIde note for Dire, in case you aren't aware: There are special extra-efficient recipes for andesite alloy and shafts using Create machines! It took me a while to notice it as well, but you can make andesite alloy in a mixer for *half* the material cost, and if you put andesite alloy into a mechanical saw you get *50%* more shafts! The mechanical saw is also useful for a 25% increase in planks if you put logs through it twice, the first pass stripping the logs and the second pass getting you 5 planks for each log.
A few points, this concept is great in theory but will be extra hard to design by Dire. (no offense but we've seen your wiring lol) 1 : add clutches to your various sub-sections, (grinder, press, mixer, crafter) so you can disable them and utilize all of your SU/RPM when and where it's needed most. 2 : Your main belt for cobble should run the full length of the multi-belt setup, passing through the tunnel and not as two belts butting up to one another. 3 : the hand/sander will still work on a belt if pointing down towards the belt... the Presser pauses the item on the belt to make it into a plate before allowing it to continue, so to will the hand.
Please... using belts to convey rotation takes up unnecessary stress units, and quite a lot at high speeds. Gears, shafts and encased belts do not need stress units. It's like using lossy cables.
@@AreYouOKAni In this version they definitely aren't free. It even tells him on the tooltip that pops up when he looks at a belt. I know it's a config option though.
For the adjustable chain drives. I'm pretty sure the way they work is it's like the gears on a bike, they each have like 16 different size gears between size 1(0 redstone) and size 2(15 redstone), and the speed multiplier is the ratio between them. So if you put 15 redstone on the input shaft and 0 on the output that's a ratio of 2 to 1 or double the speed. While the reverse would be 1 to 2 or half speed.

Direwolf20: The Drinking Game Drink When: -He uses the wrong tool to break a block -He uses the inventory screen to drop a hotbar item instead of the drop key -He has to stop and unload his inventory
Dire: I think it would be fine to place the cobbleworks outside and leave it in the rain. When you think of big real life gravel or sand pits and their conveyor belts and processing everything is outside one after another in some kind of line sometimes with a sifter in the middle that sorts out in kind of a star shape. So if it's too cramped inside in my opinion it's not a bad idea to just move it outside and leave it there.
Dire, the Extendo Grip is a really cool accessory from create, if you have it in your off-hand, it extends your reach when you are mining, attacking, or putting blocks down
Dire, you have a 9x9 mining tool. You could easily go to the mining dimension and clear out whole chunks by mining straight down and fly back up. Then repeat that process. You would have literal thousands of cobble that way along with a ton of resources. It's what I did.
I think that create could be paired with compact machines to make something really cool. You could have “magic blocks” in your base, but actually they’re create machines on the inside.
At the speed you are running your create contraptions, you are going to need a second windmill to power everything. That is unless you plan to slow everything down more.
Hey Dire, not sure if you're doing so already, but I would recommend using the create mixer recipe for andesite allow, as it only takes 1 of each component instead of 2. It really adds up over time, and I'd recommend it if you don't want a potentially annoying sink on your andesite supply like I had a few troubles with in my world.
Just an FYI, but there is an infinitely better Magnet in this mod pack. It can equip into a curio slot, and be toggled on/off with a hotkey. Plus it doesn't use RF, which is a HUGE drain when doing 9x9 mining.
dire just so you can know, you can put more that one generator on the same shaft, so it might be in your interest to make a second windmill on the back of the wind mill to generate extra SU. also as you now have a crafter it might be an idea to make a furnace engine or several

Some neat ideas, but have a VERY large (and legit concern)--with the drill/dropper setup: once things get full, this might lead to a lot of cobble being broken and never picked up? Leads to some questions (from somebody just watching this playthrougyh) Is there a means to [dis]engage the drill based off a redstone signal? (thinking either directly or via a gear box) Likewise is it possible for the tunnels to emit a signal if they can no longer accept items?
I like the idea, what I'm not sure of is if you're going to want to put it in your create building or if you're going to want to build another structure, maybe hanging off the windmill. That's going to take up a LOT of space. Create is very cool, but it's not exactly efficient. (Efficiency isn't really the point.) I do really like the overall idea, though. One concern I have is the lava you're going to need to smelt with.... isn't that likely to set surrounding blocks on fire? That's..... an issue. Potentially.
