    I took a piece of 1” pvc and capped one end. Filled it with lead shot and capped the other end. SST screws hold it onto the flap under the mower. Works just as good. Downside is when you cut at 2.5” or lower and go backwards, the blades will catch it and ya get to build a new one.

    I currently use a Honda hrx217 with a big league stripe kit. I like it but I do have a lot of corners and objects to mow around. This video really makes me want to sell the Honda and buy a toro just for that striping kit. I think the biggest advantage (other than sharp turns) is the ease of removing it! I could do all of my trim passes with it off and put it back on for the straight passes.

    • @TheRealLawnFather
      @TheRealLawnFather  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You don’t have to sell the Honda! S&B sells a universal kit that bolts right onto the Honda. Check him out on Instagram @lawn.stryper

      I agree somewhat about Toro's stripping kit but Toro's home/residential mowers are trash to me. So I'll just keep my Honda HRX with my Big League🤷🏽‍♂

  • @gil3green
    @gil3green ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Pretty much my conclusion, slight edge to the Toro. Toro easy to remove when you need to take it off. Over time line edges got dull or fuzzy with big league as rollers wore down. With Toro, backing up you quickly learn that you need to use your heel to straighten out and on uneven terrain will come uncoupled sometimes.

    I have the toro i hate it, it jack knifes all the time comes off and the hook starts to tear a hole in the grass catcher bag...it defintely stripes but its a pain. I leave it off most the time now.

      They have definitely made improvements on the design over the years. But yeah you definitely have to pay attention how it’s sitting when you backup.
