Hey everybody. Sorry about the audio problem. I was just talking about the label scar of osco and how it was boarded up so I couldn't get quality inside shots and next to it there appeared to be an old grocery store that I don't know the name of.
The grocery store was Magna and it was owned by Jewel and closed in the mid 90's. Was a nice grocery store. Sad to see it gone. Osco was right next to it until it became a CVS then closed
that whole shopping center is gone now days. they tore it down about a year ago. i still live in rockford and its fun to see al of these rockford videos
Cool video, but your mic dropped out when you first started talking about the Osco. Some cool finds like that CompUSA basket. Metro probably left the sign since they're now called Metro by T-Mobile.
Yeah, I was disappointed. I was using my old phone because I was saving my good ones battery for other places. I did like 30 videos that day. The last grocery that occupied that space was called Magna.
I used to shop there in the 80s, they used to have really good home made bread and a really good produce section.

*IF* I remember correctly, that storefront to the right of the old Osco but in the same building started off as an Eagle Foods (grocery store).
Check that, it was a Jewel grocery store & not an Eagle. It was originally built as an Ardan before it became an Osco.

My local osco drugs closed and was turned into a dollar general a long time ago but recently they closed and moved into an abandoned family video
